Considering Dream Theater songs were written almost an entire octave out of Dominici's comfortable range when he was in his prime, let alone 15 years later, I'd say he did a pretty good job here. LaBrie will always be the best singer for DT, but that first album holds a special place in my heart.

@Zedrik Allen Actually he is 75% flat or sharp, but reagrding the Fact he did an awesome Performance in the first half of Metropolis later on, i can tell it might have been a Problem with his Monitor Mix. He simply didnt hear himself or the Band well. He still is an incredible Vocalist, but even the best can get a hard Time when the Mix isnt right.
Look Charlie has a 'safe' aspect to his voice and the hint of control that makes him a good signer for that era. LaBrie came along and introduced some range and danger which is why Charlie was replaced. They are both amazing, but LaBrie is just better suited to the direction they intended to go. Can we get behind that?

Also, something the LaBrie haters either don't know or seem to conveniently forget is that James ruptured his vocal cords in 1994 and it took him all this time to get most of his voice back properly because he ignore the doctor's advice to rest and was on tour with the band in Tokyo two weeks later..

They decided to play the When Dream And Day Unite album in its entirety, and Charlie Dominici and Derek Sherinian appeared for the encore (Derek plays on Metropolis part 1 during the encore)
I just started listening to When and Dream and Day Unite and sure it sounds outdated a bit but Charlie sounds pretty damn good live and he's got great stage presence
Good on Charlie for coming to do this and glad there isn't bad blood there. Hopefully one day we will see Kevin and Mike back on stage even just for one night. Life is too short to hold grudges and not forgive. Great performance from Charlie too! Still got it after all these years.
Ok, little bit of digging, apparently it was a studio demo available on the 'Lie' single, which was Kevin Moore's last lyrical contribution to the group, although it was written by Petrucci overall. Kevin also apparently sings on one verse of it.
