One question I have is if you’re from Venezuela and are seeking asylum why do you skip over 9 separate countries in Latin America to get to the U.S. if your seeking asylum it shouldn’t have to be the U.S but wherever gets you away from the danger you’re facing in your country.

Even the girl said she wasn’t that glad that her daughter was born as a U.S. citizen, but more glad about the hospital. A lot of the people coming here don’t even like the U.S. they just want to take advantage of the resources. My family understood and were very grateful to be the U.S. when they came here and were determined to be contributing members that would help build. We’re in trouble.

Thanks for speaking this truth, Mr. Lloyd. You're right when you say that we cannot support an entire country. I'm a Chicagoan, I don't make much money, and I'm struggling to pay the bills. On top of that, the taxes are high. I can barely feed myself and keep a roof over my head. How am I supposed to support other people with the little money I make? These are not my children that I should be obliged to support them.
Affordable housing is scarce. The pantry lines are often half a block long. Even second-hand clothing is harder to find. It's very hard to find minimum wage jobs because employers often give them to illegal immigrants. Shelter is almost impossible to find for homeless Americans. We do not have enough resources for thousands and millions of people. If they don't want to live in Columbia or Peru, let them go somewhere else in South America or Central America. Or let them fix their own country, because right now we're trying to fix ours, and they're making our problems worse.

Almost two years ago, I moved from DownState New York to a barrier island on the East coast of Florida. Not many of them cross the bridges let alone live here. I knew exactly what I was doing. How do they think their life is going to improve? They are bringing children on a dangerous trip with no money, no marketable skill, no english and no idea what they are going to do when they get here. On top of that there are millions of others in the same boat, what makes them think that they are going to be the one that achieves the American dream?
I'd like to preface this comment with the fact that I'm not blaming these groups for this, it's just an observation.
1920s By today's standards, unemployment at this time would be a little over 50%, however wages were high enough for a single person to provide for their family, buy a house, take vacations, and have weekends off.
1940s Women start entering the workforce as men are sent off to fight in WW2
1950s Companies start hiring on women more frequently, and wages start to decline as there's more competition.
1960&70s Women fight to have even more jobs in the workplace, and succeed lowering the unemployment rate by today's standard to roughly 7%, once again increasing the competition and lowering the relative wage further.
1980s&90s Disabled people start fighting to enter the workforce and succeed lowering the unemployment further, once again lowering the relative wage.
2000s-2010s Outsourcing becomes exceedingly common removing jobs from the United States creating a much larger supply than demand for labor.
2020s Migrants both legitimate and illegal begin flooding in in massive numbers, creating even more competition as the labor market as supply exceeds demand to the point that people can't even afford to buy a home or feed themselves unless they work an excessive amount of time.
Each of these things has been capitalized on by major corporations, and those same corporations are the ones paying off our government to make us slaves to them.

I still live with my dad and I work a fairly decent job. I work at an oil refinery I make over $160k my dad says while I’m still living in his house I have to mandatorily spend half my check on physical gold. Been doing this for 14 years!! If anything was to happen I’m more than still living good

Venezuela has some of the largest oil deposits in the world, which in itself should raise a few questions. Iraq was targeted for similar reasons twenty years ago as Palestine is being targeted now. Understanding the IMF and the Petrodollar are also worthy of study since currency can be manipulated and be made worthless as happened with the Bolivar. Eventually they come for you.

Migrant can come to school in Eastern Europe, schools are free, health care is free, in Eastern Europe we have the lowest unemployment rate, shops are open on Sundays, you can earn extra money on weekends. Many young singles cannot afford an apartment. They rent a room. Even college grads. Too back we can't charge the home countries for housing their citizens.
Venezuela was a thriving country and gave a lot of financial aid and scholarships to outsiders, especially those from the Caribbean. Unfortunately, they are going through this, but since it is a Spanish country, it would be great if Spain helped them. It is good that Hispanic countries like Columbia and Peru are helping them.
