Parveen Shakir - Ghazal: chalne ka hausla nahin rukna muhaal kar diya - a dramatic reading!

In this video, Shariq Thara reads Parveen Shakir sahiba's ghazl 'chalne ka hausla nahin rukna muhaal kar diya.'
After having finally attained the mental space of ACCEPTANCE, I sat myself down and reflected at the period where my entire self was dedicated to the beloved, to the 'safar of Ishq', jisnay mujhay waqai nidhaal kardiya.
My decision making was devoid of rationality, logic and sanity. It was all about the beloved. I did and said things I shouldn't have done and said. I set out on journeys I shouldn't have undertaken. I offended, hurt and lost the people I shouldn't have. I found myself trapped in unwanted situations which would go on to haunt me forever.
It was like western medicine, as they say, when you take western medicines in illness, your body has to recover twice, first from the illness and then from the medicines.
The journey of ACCEPTANCE became two-fold, first the acceptance of beloved's absence, and then the acceptance of resulting troubles and stresses. I realised it's important to rush towards state of acceptance right when you're told by someone you're no longer required in their life. I learned that no matter how miserable the trauma inflicted on you by others is, it NEVER forms the basis for a justification of you going around inflicting traumas on others.
And I learned, that once told that you're no more required in someone's life, if you resist the change and fight to stay in their life, then it's not them anymore inflicting any trauma on you, it's you yourself.
No matter how hard it would be, ACCEPT the 'Hijr' with open arms. You will heal. Better will come.
This Ghazl struck me in the process, and I felt like making it my second recitation.

چلنے کا حوصلہ نہیں رکنا محال کر دیا
عشق کے اس سفر نے تو مجھ کو نڈھال کر دیا
اے مری گل زمیں تجھے چاہ تھی اک کتاب کی
اہل کتاب نے مگر کیا ترا حال کر دیا
ملتے ہوئے دلوں کے بیچ اور تھا فیصلہ کوئی
اس نے مگر بچھڑتے وقت اور سوال کر دیا
اب کے ہوا کے ساتھ ہے دامن یار منتظر
بانوئے شب کے ہاتھ میں رکھنا سنبھال کر دیا
ممکنہ فیصلوں میں ایک ہجر کا فیصلہ بھی تھا
ہم نے تو ایک بات کی اس نے کمال کر دیا
میرے لبوں پہ مہر تھی پر میرے شیشہ رو نے تو
شہر کے شہر کو مرا واقف حال کر دیا
چہرہ و نام ایک ساتھ آج نہ یاد آ سکے
وقت نے کس شبیہ کو خواب و خیال کر دیا
مدتوں بعد اس نے آج مجھ سے کوئی گلہ کیا
منصب دلبری پہ کیا مجھ کو بحال کر دیا
