Hey man I appreciate these interviews you guys post up. I was really curious what Rodney has been up to, and these interviews are the only news I could find.
You the man Brandon! Thanks for repping Freestylers United!
good interview. rodney rocks. thanks for sharing :)
Great post. Thanks for sharing!
He is the biggest legend in skateboarding yet he have never really embraced being that kind of person. He is very humble and laid back
i like how he is so chill.
amazing dude amazing skater. if rodney wasnt here were would skateboarding be
I've met Rodney and he is so nice he takes time to greet you and talk to you and I met other pros and they ignored me and said"go away kid" Rodney my fav skater
I want to see Rodney in a game of skate. I can't imagine what it would be like.
he seems like a nice humble guy
inspirational dude :)
@Brandonapprove You the Brandon!
This was soo amazing! BTW, how old is he here?
Hi I'm Chema Cardenas from Mexico, and I'm scooter rider, and I like the scooter, the skateboarding an bmx, when I was young I start to ride scooter, then I start to play THPS 1 and 2, and really he has inspired me though I don't ride skate!. and though I am from Mexico I really hope to meet him too
@drivenbyfate no prob dude, thanks for the comment
pumped as fuckkk
Awesome! Those 360 spins were hard even for Rodney Mullen. But now that I know, it´s possible to get more spins with more practice, I´ll be sure to practice it every day.
@Brandonapprove thank you so much! To tell honestly, I can't even believe that it's possible to do 100 360s. God, I can't land even two. But now, when I know what is he saying it will be a bit easier, I think. As soon as my ligaments will cure I'll continue to try it over and over again.
Yesterday? Oh my God. That sounds impossible too. me and my friend often dream about seeing Rodney in real life. Thanks to your vids we can know how he looks now though... Can't wait for the upload!
Hello, was watching the videos of Rodney and since i will most likely never meet him...if you see him again can you ask about the haunted hotel...The VERY SAME "thing'' happened to me in a house years back...lamps UNPLUGED turned on 60 pound elephant vase ''moved'' and the plant and dirt that was in it was nicely placed in a corner & so on.....i just want a down to earth awnser/opinion sense we have shared this same expierence.....hope you the best & takecre

@CpmPanda no prob. you the panda!
@CpmPanda no prob
By "long time" I assume he meant 2 days to get to 20 spins.
just tell him thank you for everything he has done for skateboarding (in general) and see what he says if you dont care
Hey, guys, nice video! Glad to see Rodney.
I'm from Russia and I'd like to ask you for help. I'm only thirteen and listening to american language is a bit hard for me. Can you write, what's Rodney saying about 360 pivots? Please, guys.
Now I'm translating his autobiography to Russian - and that's all what I can do to know some more about him and tell about it to other Russian skaters. But it's always very useful to hear an anstruction about any trick from a man who is... who is Rodney Mullen.
@DGKsk8ter222 thanks for the comments. we'll be filming rodney again on june 21. anything you like to ask/tell him?
@Mereschkowsky its (about) finding your sense of balance... its weird that you say that, for most tricks, if i see you do it, i could identify what you're doing wrong. the way that spins work, it doesnt work in that way (cant be corrected to be done properly,) because you are constantly falling off of balance. keep practicing you will get better at it. get some faster bearings. i have spun on metal wheels, lathe wheels. pour coke on the ground, because when you start (to spin) you slide out.
@Mereschkowsky i have did around 100 spins, and that is just the craziest feeling. once you get your sense of balance... thats like the one thing i can not even discribe how you do it. you just got to learn it, it took me a long time.
tell russia about brandin approve, also i filmed rodney yesterday, i will try to upload it by this week end.
@Mereschkowsky nice to hear your from russia, i always like to hear from people not fron the usa. this is basically what ge is saying.
i ask him how manys times can he spin? ha said that he never bother counting, its always about the same (amount of spins.) its not really a trick, once you learn your balance, it is what it is.
i then ask him if he has any tips on doing the trick. he says that all thoughs spin, they are all the same.
you know, if more skaters learned fundementals they would be better skaters. 360's are basic tricks u learn in the beginning, then u start to do more rotations in time. Rodney looked confused at that question because its not really am upper trick
haha , he just called richy carrasco a nerd for using metal wheels :D
(just kidding )
how? he probably thought it was pretty cool, and probably reminded him of the bones brigade...
@Brandonapprove and we're always glad to see Rodney in Russia :D
