To clarify, in the video I reference MV Realty placing a lien on a home. In fact, they file a memorandum that allows them to place a lien on the property.
Here is the exact language from their website: “No, we file a memorandum. The purpose of the memorandum* is to serve public notice of the homeowner's obligations under the HBP ® agreement. In the event the customer breaches the agreement MV Realty has a right to a Lien against the home.
*In some states we file a different instrument such as a mortgage.”
