    This information, especially with the clock reference, is great. As we consider making a move in July-ish to a completely unknown area (lived Fl - New England) this is very informative!!! Thank you

    I'm moving to springs in Febuary from Austin, Texas. I gotta say it was really funny when I visited to see how much stuff I recognize from Austin/Texas. There's a Whataburger, a torchy's, I believe Alamo Drafthouse and I heard there's a freakin Bucee's being build somewhere in Colorodo. At least I won't have to go far to get a little bit of home. This video is very informational, much appreciated.

    Would you consider doing a video on the crime rates, and which areas are safe/unsafe? We were looking at something near Old Co City, but we were astonished at how high the crime average was - 300%+ over the national average, but I can't find much more data than those statistics. Co Springs as a whole has a surprisingly high crime rate. As a local, can you clue me in to what is happening in that area that has crime rates so high?

    I know it might not be the most useful given your line of business, but I'm moving to Colorado springs, and having never been there before it would've been so helpful to have a video touring various popular apartment complexes.

    Wow! Extremely good information. Probably the best explanation of Colorado Springs.

  • @dailycrittersinmyyard4849

    I love my Skyway Park neighborhood. I moved here to be close to the mountains and a main goal was to have access to trails to run directly from my front door. I have a Bear Creek trailhead just a block away…from there I can run those hundred miles of trails you mentioned.

    HELLO, I have been planning 2 return to Colorado since I left in the middle 70's. I was in the Air Force/Lowry outside of Denver. Been looking @ Colorado Springs for about a year now. I live outside of Nashville TN & in my home since 2020. I really would prefer a home with a mountain view. Enjoyed your video & hope u will be making more soon! 👍

    Consider getting some acoustic blankets just off screen to help with the echo. However, I appreciate the info.
    I'm wondering if you have any thoughts about communities and towns _just_ outside the Colorado Springs area - like Falcon, Gleneagle, Monument, Black Forest, Eastonville, Fountain, etc. We are considering a relocation to Colorado but having a hard time finding something we can afford in the main cities - so some of the more outlying communities might be considerations.

    So weird to see all the development. I left in '92 (my family settled there back around 1900). It was really starting to take off in '92. I absolutely loved living there. Couldn't go back, now.

      @@Explore.ColoradoSprings A lot! I used to train for bike racing there, and have fond memories of riding east on early mornings toward Ellicott and Calhan with nothing but meadowlarks to keep you company. Once you passed the mall, it was so quiet. No houses, no traffic, no developments. You might see a car or two for hours. Has it been built up much out east? The last of my family left Co Spgs about four years ago. Thanks for your channel!

      @@Explore.ColoradoSprings Ouch. Really? Oh Well. At least I got to live there during 'the good ol' days.' So many fond memories...Black Forest CC skiing on empty trails, quiet mornings running through GoftheG's, mountain biking Old Gold Camp Rd and Waldo Canyon. Training at the Olympic Velodrome. So many memories. I lived off Cache La Poudre. I wonder what that area looks like now. Cheers! I hope the new crowd are taking good care of my beloved Spgs!

    I’m interested in which areas are considered more conservative vs. more liberal.

    • @Explore.ColoradoSprings
      @Explore.ColoradoSprings  Před rokem +1

      It's much like other metro areas in that from a very broad perspective the more rural areas tend to be more conservative while urban areas are more liberal but there are a lot of exceptions.
      Here is a good resource for more info: bestneighborhood.org/conservative-vs-liberal-map-colorado-springs-co/

    • @allaboutroofing2
      @allaboutroofing2 Před rokem +3

      Colorado Springs is largely conservative even in metro areas. It's the 2nd most conservative city in the country second only to Provo UT. That said, you probably wouldn't notice since people generally seem to get along fine regardless. If you just lived here and didn't watch the news, you never know how divided the world has become. Cheers.

    It seems like the better the area is, the more expensive it is. I guess you get what you pay for. Although most of Colorado is bougie and the “bad” places are actually “normal” places in other states. I say, go for the cheap. Like Pueblo, or in my opinion, Trinidad. We still have a shroom” business to take off in the next year. I’m very optimistic and am living in my van here to hear the shroom business.

      The village 7 area is nice and many people with young families. I think you'll find the whole city accepting of autism tho for the most part. I'd look for a safe part like the north side and no further south than village seven.

    Thinking of moving around July 2024...coming from Orange County California after retiring from the Navy.
    Hows the snow and hail? How hot does it get over there? Also questions about the housing market? We will be selling our townhome and put money down on a home in Colorado.

    • @Explore.ColoradoSprings
      @Explore.ColoradoSprings  Před 9 měsíci

      Some years get more snow than others, but overall if you're within the city it never gets too crazy. Hail can get bad every few years, and varies a lot between different areas. And it actually doesn't get too hot here! Pretty rare to reach triple digits in the summer. We just posted a video about the weather you should check it out!
      We'd love to answer any questions you have about the housing market and what you might need when you move out this way! Give us a shout 719-203-1813

    Been here since 1978 and I say stay away. No police and lots of crime. Poor city planning and chuckholes and potholes in the streets. Not many activities, lots of traffic and all going too fast. No places for rent and houses are zillow priced- 500% increase of actual cost.
