Labadee! Royal Caribbean's Private Paradise! Zipline, Coaster, and Food

- During our cruise on the Royal Caribbean Independence of the Seas, (not the Icon of the Seas... sorry!), we stopped at the private paradise of Labadee on Haiti. During our short visit, we got to fly 500 feet above the ocean on the Dragon's Breath zipline and laugh and giggle all the way down the mountain on the Dragon's Tail coaster. It was a fantastic day! #royalcaribbea #cruise #labadee

CORRECTION! Haiti is not an island, it is a country ON the island of Hispaniola, which is also home to the Dominican Republic. Also, something got a little messed up with the audio levels at the end of this video and it gets a little quiet. I hope you can enjoy it, anyway!

Labedee has always been my favorite cruise ship island back in the old days you could rent a paddle boat and go to a private beach,it was a nude beach at one time! 13:23

That rollercoaster ride had me on the edge of my seat. No way 😂. That’s not safe at all. I would do the zipline instead. Fun video for sure!

Awesome video. I did the roller coaster (and yes, I think everyone slows down on that same curve) and dragon flight this past November and they were both great. I would do it over and over again. I enjoyed watching your sister just as much as I enjoy watching you. Thanks for sharing. 😉

If you have a "drink package" does it still follow you to the island? I know it did when we were there, not sure if they still do that.
I don't think the drink package is valid on the island :-/
You should do a video of the crazy shopping area. Also the chairs scam. They are free on most of the beach. Tourists are hit up for tips just because someone walked them over. Not sure why Royal doesn't warn people. Also why don't the vendors understand that we tourists buy more stuff when we are not being followed around and 10 people saying come see my store. At least now they have different color shirts by section so security keeps them in one spot. Blue can't go to green shops ect but it's still a crazy experience.
My "kids" did that zip line. I think it may even be posted on here that my son videoed that I uploaded.. They wanted to do it again AND do the coaster but I was only paying for one run of their choice. lol They were 17, 23, 24. I STILL regret not doing this in 2016.

This video was so awesome! I’ve always wondered what that zip line would be like. I am not sure if I’m brave enough to do either the zip line or the coaster. You and your sister together are so much fun. I wish my brother was as nice as you are.

I've been on the kingda ka before in New Jersey! 😮 But I can't believe how high that zip line is that's insane. Just watching you do the beginner one looked incredibly tall! But I will say it looks like a blast and so much fun to do!❤

@@VeryunOfficialTravelGuides It's crazy omg! FASTEST RIDE YOU'LL EVER EXPERICENCE! IT'S INCREDIBALE!!! I rode it with my friend back when it first opened in 2008! Once you do it every other rollercoaster is nothing. lol But don't worry. It's over is a second it goes so quick! You'll blink and It'll be over!

Labbadee is closed indefinitely due to civil unrest. Baltimore harbor also shut down. My standard answer to how can a ship hit _____(fill in the blank ) NO BRAKES !

It has to be attached to your body somehow. I had it on a wrist strap that is attached to my arm. You can also have it on a chest strap or put the wrist strap on your leg. I hope that helps you!
