I'm Italian and my son is Asperger. Not the same, but a lot of difficulties, too. This song is a universal message for boys and girls that fight every day for life, friends, studies and prejudices. For the people who wonder why he took of his glasses;
Tix explained in a norwegian interview that since he has Tourettes and are far from the only one with it, he decided to take of his glasses rendering him completely unable to see and to control his facial muscles and vocals to show his biggest weakness in front of everyone. He did not care about the score as long as the message got out.
TIX is a wonderful guy, and even though I am sad this song did not get a higher score, I am so proud of my fellow norwegian to pull this off and delivering such an incredible song and strong message.

The moment he took off his glasses hit me hard. I have a lot of friends with that exact same tick. Growing up non-neurotypical, struggling with ticks and stimming behaviours, I've experienced first hand that most People really don't see the struggle. I think it was very brave of him to show something so vulnerable, but I don't think many People really understood the gravity.

He is the most genuine participant this contest ever has had. A true role model for all of us, irrespective of age, experience, location. I have never been in more awe with someone outside my family, friends and community than I have with TIX. What a truly incredible artist and more important individual. Norway is truly lucky to have him and we are all lucky to have experienced a greater ESC because of his participation and message. It’s also a nice song of course.

I think many people didn't understand the meaning. I liked the song but not more than others in the competitive field this year, but when I got to know the meaning, this became my personal favourite
Quite easy to understand, he looks a mess, his lyrics are a mess, so is his voice a little, song is slow, no real progression, stays pretty one note even in the climax, not to mention in English, so he's competing with at least 3 other "power ballads", the only nice thing he had is the staging, which doesn't give him much.

It's a bit of a weird situation.
The guy's made about 10 documentaries from his appearance on EV alone about it, a song in which of a genre he's never touched before, and is literally calling himself an angel.
So his biggest problem isn't that he has tourrets, but that the bullying and pain he received as a kid/teen because of it has landed him something even more depressing; it's made him a narcissist. Very dangerous. Bit of a shame.

It's more to do with his staging. He even stated that had he played simply with his piano and sang then he would have scored much higher in the jury vote, as they don't like over the top performances. He went with this regardless because he felt it explained his story better. I love him regardless :-)
Jury downvoted a lot because the song is too easy and generic. Keiino had the same problem with spirit in the sky and therefore created Monument with the high note to target jury as well. Norway did the same mistake twice.
Because people around Europe have much more taste for music than people who like this nothing special song!

In the end, the votes are just numbers. Andreas, aka TIX, has already won thousands of hearts all across Europe. The scoreboard means nothing compared to the joy and hope he's giving us. I think I speak on behalf of a lot of Norwegians when I say we're incredibly proud of him and we couldn't have asked for a better person to represent our country in ESC this year ❤️
This song was done hard by Europe, and especially the juries. A solid pop song, great performance and TIX's story is an inspiration all on its own. Norway deserved way better.

I honestly don’t care about the placement. By my personal taste TIX would have deserved a higher place but what matters the most is his story and his message that he blessed us with. Eurovision is a very unique experience for the artists, and after all, the winner is the one who has most fun. TIX had a really great time, and he was supportive and loving to every contestant :)

I’m so happy Italy won, they deserved it and they’re (in my opinion) one of the best winners ever in Eurovision. However, I voted for TIX. As soon as he started to sing, I fell for this guy. A true talent with the purest of hearts. I noticed him multiple times throughout the contest, cheering for each contestant like they had all just won. We should all try to be as supportive and loving as this guy, he’s a true role model that is much needed in this world. TIX, you might not have won the contest, but you won millions of hearts and that is the most powerful kind of victory one can accomplish. ✨

My friend and I wanted this to win... it legitimately made me cry (no other song last night managed that) and I loved the message behind it. Also, mad respect for being accepting of your own "shortcomings" - I myself am on the high-functioning end of the autism spectrum and can therefore very much relate to having it harder than the average person might have it in life. Dear Andreas, if you knew the suport you have among so many of us who have some sort of social Issues. Seeing you up there and removing your glasses meant the world to us!
I've seen neurodivergent people from all over the world expressing a similar sentiment-including myself (I have ADHD and was bullied for it at school for many years). It's absolutely beautiful seeing people come together to celebrate Andreas' beautiful performance and what it means to us.
I'm heartbroken. 18th place? He deserved so much better. Wtf Europe?
