Nice touches to this song. 50 years later, still listening to these songs. It's relaxing for me.
Thanks.
David was a wonderful singer ❤️🎶🎼 and handsome man
How does hearing a song take you back to when it was new? It's time travel for the mind...
Time travel for the mind, I love that ❤
David is so good!!
Beautiful👍
I had a girlfriend that loved to walk in the rain so we actually liked both songs rainmaker and walking in the rain.

Very cool version, the Partridge family forever
Very very nice.
Whoa, the rain and thunder definitely emphasized the message and meaning of this timeless Partridge number. Stay safe and keep it up!
Thanks!
@@JArehart You're so welcome!
You too buddy.
Lyrics:
She came with the rain,
Scarlet ribbon in her hair
I never even knew her name,
She just slipped away from me to who knows where
And if it weren't for the rain,
She might still be there
Rainmaker, does she have to be free?
I guess you know she took the best part of me
Rainmaker, I'll wait endlessly
If there's a way to make her come back to me
Doo, doo...
Love was only yesterday and now tomorrow waits in vain
She never promised me she'd stay,
So a stranger to my love she will remain
And I know more than me she loved the rain
Rainmaker, does she have to be free?
I guess you know she took the best part of me
Rainmaker, I'll wait endlessly
If there's a way to make her come back to me
Doo, doo...
Yes, I know now more than me she loved the rain, she loved the rain
Rainmaker, does she have to be free?
I guess you know she took the best part of me
Rainmaker, I'll wait endlessly
If there's a way to make her come back to me
Doo, doo
❤️💫

I absolutely LOVE this version!!! The thunder and lightening make it so powerful and the clapping brings everyone together in a unity consciousness😊🥰
Thank you. I'm always afraid to read comments so it's nice when they are nice ones. I appreciate it.
Brings memories as a kid of having all of his albums and recorded them on my cassette player. Going camping at the time it was ok to be in the camper looking out the window. Now a days it's not allowed. Playing my cassette player loud.
You did awesome job on this John! I loved it

After looking at all of your PF videos, I must say this one is my favorite. Just such a lovely song. I think that 'Sound Magazine' was the best album overall - every song on it is good. I'd like it if you could to "I Would Have Loved You Anyway." There are 2 performances of it in the show - A garage jam in the episode called Home Is Where The Heart Was, and then one with an audience in Promise Her Anything, But Giver Her A Punch. Both are in Season 2.
This has become the definitive version for me ... Any way to get this on Spotify? ;)
Thanks - I don't think so. You can probably download it to your computer and then export the audio track though.
At first I was furious (Furious!) with the new layers ... but it's actually pretty well handled despite adding some mud/distortion to an already busy song mix-wise ... The thing that changed my mind is that thunder clap at 0:48 right after we see Chris, the drummer. Legit surprised me a little and gives me chills ... :) ALSO, I'm re-watching the entire series right now (really for the first time as it was never on as re-runs when I was a kid like The Brady Bunch was on constant ...) what really bugs me about the show is how the songs almost never have any connection to the episode, which includes this one. When Keith and the Patridges take the stage for "Rainmaker," the big thing rocking the family's boat is if they were too mean when expressing some discomfort to their middle-aged ex-con bus driver (for one episode only) who didn't disclose that he's on parole during the job interview. Really? Who cares?!? Stupid episode; amazing song ...
I don't disagree with you but I liked it enough to post. I'll probably do a new one at some point. There are some definite areas of improvement. I was mixing with my big headphones on and really should have checked the levels with the speakers on. I was also drinking a few beers, so there's that.... haha.
@@JArehart Honestly, the mix has grown a lot on me in the last day ... I edited out my comments about the claps. After listening again, it does seem that the claps at the end are more prominent than the ones in the first chorus. That seems fine. I see you have more of your "2020" mixes ... I will check them out. Thanks for the video!

What a way to go what a waste of talent it happens to the best of all of them
These visuals from Logan's Run go surprinsgly well with this song ... czcams.com/video/at5cE5_R0Ds/video.html&ab_channel=Sci-FiPunisher
Sorry, John, I think you missed the likely message behind this song -- clearly written from the perspective of a man who lost his loved one to suicide. Drop the inappropriate thunder/lighting/rain visuals & sound effects and you'd have a great re-make.
That's the beauty of a song like this, it's open to interpretation. What it means to you is not necessarily what it means to me. There is no right or wrong edit. I share them with others because most people seem to love and appreciate them. To each his own....
