Frank Stroupe never liked pioneer for things like this. Usually when i pick up a pioneer its too light to be quality lol. Feels cheap
Thanks Dean. I want this stereo. But it has way way more than my AVH-X4500T. I got it for my 30th birthday. I'm going to be 36 now and I want to up grade again. It's crazy it's been 6 years and look how much has changed...
Personally I feel that these double din stereos should be upgraded every 2 years in our cars. Just sell your current stereo , add some cash on top and buy a same year stereo.

My Samsung Galaxy S8+ does try to connect wirelessly with the 4500NEX. Google maps seem to pop up on my screen. After a bit I get a message about a poor connection with the phone. I may try keeping it closer?? I did use a wire to first hook my phone up to it....to try the Android Auto. Wired was how I was going to use it.
My Samsung Galaxy 8+ is working wirelessly. Maybe a little buggy which I can explain later if anyone cares. And today I did notice this article.

@@timh3327 Loving it and I'm probably not using it to its full potential. Someone more knowledgeable may be able to fine tune it more. Not that it sounds bad by any means, just knowing my limitations. I would not pay extra for the map feature since you can connect with your phone anyway.

In the other hand, thanks to this video, I purchase the same radio a month ago and I really love it! My question is about the gps antena, should I connect it or not? I don’t really need with apple car play and Waze app! Is there any reason why I should connect the antenna?

Like the 8100 or 8200 can you hold MODE to shut the screen off without killing audio?
While night driving I like to shut the screen off but other brands don’t.
Good Morning Guys, I really enjoy the channel and appreciate ALL the hard work that goes into it. I have two questions. I have the 4400NEX and am interested to know what the differences are between the 4400 and the 4500. Are there ANY (harnesses, remote, internals,etc.)? Secondly, how do you save an eq setting to custom 2 by starting from one of the presets? Thanks
Should the audio cable from my Maestro RR box be connected to the audio input on the rear of the Pioneer 4500NEX or should it be plugged in to the audio input on the A/V wire bundle?
I've got one of these and it's been great. Just had some major transmission work (i.e. battery was disconnected for duration) and now the unit seems to forget which track I was listening too after every shutdown/startup. Tried the factory reset button, SD/USB reformats and different track options. No luck. Any thoughts?
Where can I get a list of ALL of the 2019 Pioneer model releases? The Pioneer website is trash and doesn't really help me figure which stereos are the latest and greatest.
maybe too late for this but when it comes to keeping up to date with car audio companies and releases is follow their social media. they usually announce releases, i have better luck with following companies on facebook!
Bass Head it’s still helpful for new lookers but it is confusing as I believe in the uk this head unit is the avh z9200dab

Do you know if when connecting via weblink and you mirror your phone to the radio if it will display on the rear entertainment? I have an above head dvd player and 2 headrest monitors. Everything can run individually or whatever the head unit displays.

Do I have to connect the pink wire (VSS/Vehicle Speed Signal) to use Android Auto Wireless/Apple CarPlay? My vehicle's VSS is not connected to the car's head unit connector, it's underneath the passenger side dash. If VSS needs to be connected, what is your recommendation on making this connection?

Does the Pioneer W6500 NEX have the ability to reverse image in setting for the front camera in the camera setting like some of the other pioneer radios? I don’t see it anywhere in the camera setting.
So when inputting HDMI into stereo to play on rear speakers. That won’t work cause it’s protected? Is there a work around?

so I have the avic w4400nex and as of Monday the wireless android auto works with Samsung s10+ (radio has 1.01 update and phone has newest android auto) has any one have luck as well or is it just me
My camera when I put it in reverse is just black everything else works fine but the backup camera
Has anyone had troubles with notifications amd texts not showing up on screen? My s10 worked perfectly then I switched to an s21 and it quit working. I tried different apps, I have all permissions allowed on my phone, tried a factory reset on the head unit, there is no firmware update. Any ideas??? This is pretty important feature for keeping eyes on the road!
And also the gps add on for these head units are super expensive.

Your phone might not be compatible. Make sure you check the lost of phones. Unless you have a iphone.

I purchased a car with this radio already installed. The thing that I am having problems with is that every time I turn the car on, I have to put the radio and my iPhone on search mode to find each other, it doesn’t happen automatically, which drives me insane. The radio shows the phone of the previous owner and I have tried to delete it but to no avail.

No. That is default by manufacturers to show they obeyed law regulations. “Distracted driving”

Mostly the same features but the dmh lost automatic time alignment, only has one usb c input, and no cd/dvd player. It does however have a capacitive touch screen, and an updated interface with widgets and a web browser.
What is the point of having hdmi if you can’t pass it through?
You mentioned the GPS antenna and then failed go back to it. So I'll ask what others have asked. Why does a radio without navigation, some with a GPS antenna.

Hey guys, I have an AVH 4400 Pioneer double din. I also have a 2018 JL Wrangler sport without Alpine. Head unit is said not to fit (too deep). Question is can I make it fit by cutting something in particular or anything that you know, because this thing cost me a lot of money and I got everything I need including data links so I would really like to get it into my Wrangler. Thanks guys.

Samsung makes their own HDMI to USBc adapter.

Amazon does that. I believe there's some algorithm that raises prices on some products as they get more views.
I ended up getting a RF 600X5. It’s 729 rms. I think I need a different sub. I tried to take advantage of the center rear deck location with a 4ohm dvc 8” power bass wired for 2ohms. Problem is that the amp clips really bad when the volume is up and the bass kicks in. I’ve tried tweaking it here and there (sub level at head unit, eq, amp gain, punch eq, and bass knob) I always have to chase a good bass response.
Any suggestions?

Hello! You mentioned the GPS antenna during the unboxing, but I didn't see what it was for later in the video. Did I just miss it, or what is it for?
It is for the wireless CarPlay and AndroidAutos Navi feature. It uses the Pioneer antenna instead of the phones because the phone may be in your pocket or bag

Hey guys. I see no real substantial benefit of the 4500 over the 4400. Is it even worth the price difference? I'm also comparing the 9905s and 8905s to the Pioneer units. Can you give an opinion on which you prefer since you've had both the Pioneer and Kenwood installed in your personal car? I've had better sound quality in my phone calls on my previous Nex units and have had issues with call quality in Kenwood's in the past.
If your basing your decision on phone call sound quality then stay with Pioneer. If you want an unclipped 5 volt preamp signal to run an aftermarket system with a superior capacitive screen then go with Kenwood.
Personally I liked the Kenwood. The difference is backup lines manly. Go for the 4400
