@@jamesaditya5254 In kayfabe, they've said it's Randy Knock Out a few times. The one I remember was when Seth did one in the "RKOs are Banned" match and said it didn't count because his name didn't start with R. It was a SETH Knock Out.

He said when he explained the name of the move to Vince he said something like “well my initials are RKO, which is like TKO” and he awkwardly tries to further explain and Vince just says “sounds great” and walks off.

Personally I like to look at Meltzer's ratings since I ain't got the time to watch that many matches. I still make up my own mind about how good the match was in the end, his star ratings to me are like recommendations. Anything 4* or higher is a really good match and worth watching.

While I think there's been an occasion Randy got called Randy "Killer" Orton, I'm pretty sure he himself confirmed that RKO does stands for his exact initials. IIRC he was going to use the cutter as a new finisher and got asked what's he gonna call it and he just pitched it on the spot. The first time I saw and heard the RKO I also thought it's Randy "Killer" Orton, and this was way before his Legend Killer days. It just sounded so obvious to me back in 7th grade or something

As described by Bryan Alvarez, they were there live and when Undertaker hits the dive where he wipes out the "cameraman" from Dave and Bryan's angle, it looked like Undertaker landed directly on his head. Dave and Bryan have stated on their show that is the only slight ding to an otherwise perfect match

I mean, I never meant to be rude, so I apologize. I just wanted to make sure that the false information is fixed. RKO stands for two different things. His real life full name “Randal Keith Orton” as well as “Randy Knockout.” There might be another meaning I’m missing, but I’m 99% certain that “Randy Killer Orton” is not one of them. And yes Tama Tonga has been in a tag team, more specifically a faction with Gallows, Anderson, and one other guy that I can’t remember.

on the topic of what RKO stands for, if I remember correctly, he used the move a few times already but it hadn't yet been named. So in a random promo Randy just claims "that move is called the RKO" . Everyone just rolled with it and it stuck for all these years.

I remember killing it last time, hopefully I'll be just as good, though I haven't checked Meltzer's ratings for a while (except for that epic steel cage match in Stardom). I'll give myself a point if I got closer than both John and Dante, and an extra point if I'm spot on. Spoilers below for my guesses :)
1) Ugh I feel like I remember this one... I'm gonna say DUD though I'm really not sure, could be positive could be negative. (wow I was far off, 0/1)
2) Also guessing DUD, I know it was not looked upon highly. (Wowwww again I'm so far off!! 0/2)
3) This must've been back when Jake Roberts was still good. I'll guess 3.75* but I could see it be higher. (WHOA WHAT??? 0/3)
4) A lot of low scores today, I'll guess 1*. (I tied with John, I'll give myself the point. 1/4)
5) iirc this was the good Crown Jewel, I'll go with 4.25*. (Oh wow that was higher than Nakano vs Natsupoi ok, 2/5)

Orton has never been called "killer", other than "Legend Killer". They have never once even tried to explain on tv what RKO stands for. The "Randy Killer Orton" was literally made up by fans when he was The Legend Killer. Orton himself confirmed (I believe on Stone Colds Podcast) that Michael Hayes, who suggested he use a Cutter as his finisher, suggested he use his initials as the name.

Rude vs. Roberts is rated so low because it is one of the most boring matches ever. It was in the first round of the title tournament, and it ended in a time limit draw with almost no action.

I know I am way late but Jake Roberts vs Rick Rude wasn´t all that bad (I'd give it a star) ... it was a tournament match for the World Wrestling Federation Championship.
it was mostly b.o.r.i.n.g. ... variations of 'flex, punch, bodyslam, sleeper hold or armbar' with random movves in between, streched over 10-12 min (15min time limit). the action happened in the last 3-5 min and ended in a timeout draw (while teasing a dirty finish) eliminating both from the tournament.

Idk why but I always thought RKO stood for Royal KnockOut but then somebody told me it stood for Randy's KnockOut. Then I was told it just stood for Randy Killer Orton. Though I feel like just using his initials for his finisher is the lamest answer but whatever.
