The biggest problem is that some people vote the country and not the Song, Latvia and Ireland where made for the televote but they are small, that's why they got pesa than 40 points

@@redust9979 No way! Czech Republic is my 3rd place, they were so robbed as well… Netherlands was my 2nd place and deserved top 10 imo.
While I agree with some of these, a few have to be pointed out: Emma's voice wasn't very strong during the televised performance and she missed a few high notes, so I wouldn't say it is a crime she flopped. I loved Cyprus' song but she also had shaky vocals during the english part of her song (she didn't deserve to be last with the juries though, that is so weird).
At first I also thought that Cyprus should be qualifying, but when I saw her performance, I knew it wasn't enough, as her lyrics were a bit shaky in the English part. But to be fair to her, she definitely wasn't the worst vocalist in this edition and those high notes were tougher to sing than other entries from artists who didn't make any mistakes.
I would add - Emma's song is plagiarized, so I'm glad she is NOT in the finals. (search here on CZcams Emma Muscat Rudimental These Days to see how are these two songs intertwined).

@@GiovannaIwishyou If Emma Muscat had agreed to compete with the song "Out of sight", I am sure she would have had more chances to qualify but unfortunately she made a big mistake by following her fans' and other people's advice in order to change the song. Emma Muscat is really a perfect singer but unfortunately her fans did her harm by asking her to change the song.. If her fans had really liked her, they would not have asked Emma Muscat to make such a risky decision. Unfortunately no one could not appreciate the value of the song "Out of Sight". No one could understand that "Out of Sight" was better and a more different song than "I am what I am".
My five biggest crimes of the year (results wise) in no particular order:
1) Latvia not qualifying - how were they so low in the televotes??
2) Slovenia coming last - I don't know what the juries were on but anyone who knows music should recognise the quality!
3) Ireland not qualifying - WHY!?
4) Czechia's televote flop - this is Finland 2011 all over again: 3rd in the semi, opens final, 21st place...
5) France's utter murder - Someone call the police, there has been a mass murder on the stage. Second to last, really???
Slovenia killed it, at least in my opinion. Ireland and Latvia should have been up on the final if not for the music but for the causes. And for france... I suspect that the French weren't behind the song entirely.

People vote for the bigger, and more famous countries (Like now Ukraine, Australia, Ireland kinda, and the other 2 baltics Lithuania and Estonia, Russia also) so for a small country its hard to get votes becouse nobody remembers that Latvia exists 😂. And if you remember 2015 Aminata, she got second in supernova. We woold have easily qualified with her voice and song (Im letting you go) Listen to it if you havn't. So thats some stuff about my country Latvia

@@that1forgettableperson458 That wasn't a surprise, it was expected. The jury's disappointing reaction wasn't. Slovenia had musically probably the most complex song of the year yet MUSICAL EXPERTS didn't reward it. I might just be a bedroom musician myself but I could hear the chord changes, tempo changes, instrumentation etc. That's why I blame the jury. (Also, despite coming last in televote, Slovenia did get one point more from them than from the jury, although granted, they all came from Croatia)
Agree! And I would add: 0 points from Juries to Germany, 2 points from Televote to Australia, Azerbaijan qualified with 0 points form Televote, Poland, Serbia and Moldova robbed by juries (at the final)

@@robinoswald tbh, if the EBU cared about its principle of being apolitical, it should DQ all countries which are in a state of war. Not just one. Don't get me wrong, i support Ukraine, but we all knew that Ukraine was probably going to get the political points rather than the best song points. It's already a shame what has happened to the UK and Germany in the past.
@@thermostance1815 Yup. It's up to the EBU to be impartial when it comes to politics.People would understand if the country at war didn't go to ESC. In that way, all parties involved in the war could go back without backlash or implication of any backlash to any country.

I expected Czech Republic to not post a good result in the grand final because their song sounded similar to Glorious, the German entry from 2013.
It's okay about that because at least we all know their songs were great no matter what place they placed. I am sure they all came here to show their songs and to have fun but not to gain a victory.
At the beginning i was also surprised Belgium qualified but actually, he was among the televote qualifers (10th best televote) so saying it's undeserved is a little bit harsh. For example, Azerbaijan got 0 televote points in this semi and still qualified but nobody seems to complain about that lol ...

I do. Idk how Azerbaijan qualified with jury points only. Belgium was a shock but I later was like "good for him". He's in my top 15.

If it wasn’t for my country coming runner up then this would have been a complete bloodbath of results for me. My favourites (not including uk) were France, Albania, Latvia, Austria, Finland an San Marino. The worse results Ive had in years.

Albania: I liked song, but performance was a hot mess.
Latvia: pretty funny fact actually:)
Croatia got the same result as last year.
Malta: Emma's vocals was pretty bad though.
San-Marino: mutual problem with Albania - a bit too much.
Ireland: really sad, compared to the national final she did amazing job.
Cyprus: same with Austria - painfully vocals destroyed everything about it.
Czech Republic: performance from semi had way more energy.
Armenia was destroyed by running order even more than Romania.

- EBU putting random votes instead of giving 0 points each to ”Rigging countries"
- Switzerland and Belgium being first to classify
- Ireland, San Marino, Latvia or Albania not classified for the final
- Germany, France, Czech Republic, Armenia an Romania being so low
- The messy order of the songs in both of Semis and the Final
- The chaos of the staging, and the lights (IDK how many people didn't got blind, or even worse for those who suffer epilepsy)

Yeah this wasn’t a good Eurovision in form of presentation and order. Also Switzerland definitely deserved to qualify and personally I’m really happy Belgium qualified. I’m also really happy Albania and San Marino didn’t qualify, they didn’t deserve it at all in my opinion. The biggest crime this year was France’s placement in the final

Rigging countries should suffer serious penalties, such as not having their votes counted and ban on participating next year.

I'm just so disappoited bout the results of my home country (🇨🇵). We were sending something different for once, but with that kind of result, i'm afraid we will not dare to do it anymore and we will send typical french ballads. I don't want it to happen, otherwise i feel like i would not be interested in the contest that much. But at the same time, when so much points go to a few countries, the others are left with nothing and we have to deal with it. I still have hope though. I hope it showed to countries with a way more celtic background that they could also show it, for example Ireland, imagine having a song in Gaelic that would be fantastic!
I loved France's entry. It was unique and different.
1. San Marino not qualifying after a performance like that, me and my friends were all aghast
2. France scoring so low
3. Switzerland qualifying
4. Latvia and Slovenia not qualifying (and Slovenia undeservedly getting last place in the whole competition)
5. Moldova getting basically ignored by the juries while Spain and Sweden got too many points
6. sweden is super overrated
Moldova basically kept the show together in the final and they knew it.

2. 🇱🇻 missing the grand final by a big margin.
3. 🇦🇺 receiving only 2 points from the televote in the grand final.

but it is that from norway they deserved more televoting, they were also robbed at that point, since although the lyrics are not common, they did very well in the realization, they deserved a higher position

Thank you for your empathy. I'm spaniard and I thought if we Don't win with this, we will never win. This was our year and has been stolen. In Spain there's a huge annoyance with Eurovision this year and with the italian hosts. Spain has not won for more than half century.

1) Achille Lauro not qualifying;
2) 2 of the 3 most beautiful voices was not in top 10: Australia 🇦🇺 and Poland 🇵🇱. Poland 🇵🇱 to me was a big favorite to win!

It's just a testament to how good the last few years have been. I remember when most of the semi final entries were duds, now every loss feels unfair.
no offense but belgium didn't deserve to qualify. i'm mainly talking about the staging, it was dreadful (the only good thing about the performance is that his vocals were good)

Achille Lauro for San Marino was super messy, but after sitting through Belgium and Azerbaijan and even Lithuania (liked her song but her running order was unfortunate) I'd given an arm and a leg for the electric bull on stage. Achille tries really really hard and I kinda have a soft spot for him.
I loved his song, but his performence on stage in semi final was a bit to much for me. There was so many things at the same time that it became a total mess for me. In my opinion his much more simple, but still awesome and sassy performence in qualifications was better

Well, with Bulgaria and Macedonia it was the case that many people called it dated, I still kinda like them though, much better than everyone's saying. Although Vladana's voice was partially a bit shrill (unfortunately this was was used for the recap), I agree with France but think that Germany deserved its last place in the final.

Belgium getting only 5 points from the televote. Australia getting only 2 votes, Poland should have finished in the Top 10, and Portugal should have been 7th or 8th. Greece should have gotten more televoters. So did Portugal. Moldova should have finished lower, I'm also sad for France. And I really wanted Sweden to get a Top 3 finish, if not even win.
The first six countries in the running order finished 13th-15th-16th-19th-22nd-25th in the televote when six out of the seven last countries in the running order finished 2nd-4th-5th-6th-9th-10th
We should look at the split results:
Albania and Cyprus are televote qualifiers killed by juries, as they both finished 9th in the televote and 12th overall
Croatia and North Macedonia are jury qualifiers killed by the televote as they finished 10th in the jury voting and 11th overall.
In the second semifinal, Azerbaijan scored no televote points but this was enough to qualify.

I can understand that you regret a country not qualifying, every country deserves to qualify, but to specifically exclude a country from qualifying is just low and disrespectful to him as an artist. Belgium deserves to be there as much as any other country. But good! Proves again that this kind of pages only go for the standard pop songs. In the end he qualified and more people saw it was a masterpiece!

This is just my point of view! I 100% respect Jeremie and all his work, but in my opinion his performance didn’t deserve to qualify. I think that there were so many countries that deserved belgium’s spot, considering that the performance was kinda bad (in terms of staging & some vocals)
Again, I truly respect and admire all the effort that the artists put this year, but at the end of the day we all are meant to have an opinion :)

Even though I *loved* the song, Azerbaijan getting almost 100 pts in the semi but 0 pts in the televote and still qualifying is the closest to a crime we got this year. Honestly, the only Eurovision crimes are those where the juries completely overrule the public.

Looking at the voting statistics I’m a bit shocked at how poorly both Austria and Albania did with televoting AND juries.
Cyprus and Albania had weak vocals sadly (some of my favorites, especially Cyprus), but IRELAND??? And Latvia? Literally no reason for NQ.
Absolutely, Cyprus and Albania (even in the part that's being shown here) really had weak vocals, which destroyed their chances of qualifying. This time around there were more weak vocals than last year, I guess. And Belgium had good vocals and deserved to be in the final. Ireland didn't have bad vocals, but maybe it was a song that's better suited for a younger audience. And the staging and her outfit should have been like in the video or at least like in the NF. I'm not a fan of Croatia's outfit and staging either. She had one irritating person on stage in the NF, when I heard that they're gonna change it, I cheered loudly, but now she's got 3 non sensical performers up on stage and no platform where she can sit with her guitar in the beginning.

I think Albania's should not have been sexualized too much like that (though it seems that was already a toned down version of the original). Doing so made it look like they're desperate for attention and votes and could have put off some people. The song itself is already good and could have carried the show without really going the sexual way. Maybe the same applied to San Marino.
