#Eurovision #ESC #EurovisionSongContest - Hudba
Do you know why Little Big sing "Uno, Dos, Quatro"? Because Sergey took "Tres".
Oh….my…..god
lol XD that is the funniest shit ive ever seen

I also would add "Duncan Laurence couldn't perform at the grand final for being positive to Covid"
I also agree with most of your opinions
Norway getting 291 points from public and only 40 from juries in 2019.
Biggest crime ever in Eurovision.
Keiino absolutely robbed
And I cannot agree more. Literally the people complain about juries robbed the mid “ Color of your Life” and nobody talks about Norway 2019
Fun fact: Everyone says semi final 1 2021 was way stronger then semi final 2. But the average placing of the countries that qualified to the final are higher from semi final 2 then 1.
I realized it a long time ago. 7 songs from Semi final 2 finished in the left side of the scoreboard (Switzerland 🇨🇭, Iceland 🇮🇸, Finland 🇫🇮, Greece 🇬🇷, Bulgaria 🇧🇬, Portugal 🇵🇹 and Moldova 🇲🇩) and only 4 from Semi final 1 (Ukraine 🇺🇦, Malta 🇲🇹, Lithuania 🇱🇹 and Russia 🇷🇺).
In semi 2 there were not a lot of real competition. It was clear, which contries are gonna qualify. But the semi 1 had a big amount of great songs (much bigger than just ten) and nobody knew for sure who is going to be left out. Of course semi 1 were way more stressful (and disappointing in the end fore some)
@@butterylobsterrolls we can base on the quality and how many countries in either the first or the second semifinal finish on the left side of the score board. Here's my opinion about which semifinal is stronger than the other (since 2008 to this year):
2009 2010 2011 2012 2019: the 2nd one
2008 2013 2014 2015 2016 2017 2018 and 2021: the 1st one
@@Gumboliniz this method is does not really say it all, because the semifinal consists not only of qualifying acts, you have to take a look at NQ's performans quality too
esc 19 had similar situation when 1,3,4,5,6,7,8 places were from semi final 2 and the best place for semi final 1 was 9th by Australia.
Malta always being extremely UNDERRATED by the televoters
In my opinion they deserve their televote placement (except in 2018), they always send cheap and generic songs
Feels good that someone finally thinks Help You Fly was robbed.
Me too!
Siren Song was not disqualified. Maruv herself refused.
Yulia Samoilova was not allowed in 2017, and the broadcaster himself refused to participate and even broadcast the competition.
@@kendraduli6806 because the contest was held in Kiev and she performed in Crimea before and that’s not allowed
@@NavigatoTravels I have also heard that she was told by the broadcaster that she only could participate if she signed a contract that was banning her from performing in Russia and she refused because she's got fans there - is that true?
@@LovelyAngel. I believe that was Maruv not Julia.
@@NavigatoTravels why wasnt she allowed to perform in crimea
@@oqp489 Because Crimea split from Ukraine but Ukraine never recognized it
Albina’s Tick-Tock deserved Grand Final.
It's Tick-Tock
made worse by the fact that it was top 10 in both televote and jury vote - yet the points system basically fucking it over
Tick tock
No
@@VY_Canis_Majoris Why no may I ask?
"Finland being the most underrated Nordic country"
- Kaarija enters the chat.
You’re so right with Andorra. I’m from Andorra and we don’t deserve to never pass to the final 🥲
If San Marino passed there is a chance for Andorra if it comes back...
It seems like participating for Spain is a curse...
I don't think Malta receiving only 47p was a crime tho.. It wasn't that impressive on stage (except Destiny herself of course). It was more a jury friendly song, All of my love would have finished higher, it has more appeal.. It was much liked but more in the fandom than with the wider audience
she finished 2nd in the televote in the semis, not for from Ukraine
running order destroyed her (and also France and Italy being favorites)
@@Hugo-gc8jm Yeah I can see that
I actually think that Sergey getting 3rd place twice is pretty impressive, though I know that he probably aimed at becoming second Dima - I think the contest got much more competitive since the 2000s
Finally someone who appreciates "Horehronie" and "Adrenalina" (my fav this year) 😍 And I TOTALLY agree with each one you've included in this video!
In short: Poland, Latvia, Finland, Slovenia, Slovakia, Hungary, Lithuania, Croatia and Slovenia underrated LOL
I think Latvia is the most underrated country in ESC, not only in the Baltic region.
for me I would say the3 biggest crimes are
3. Adrenalina coming 22nd.
2. Belgium 2018 not qualifying
1. VAL not being able to participate at Eurovision 2021 for a very stupid and sad reason
YEEES Adrenalina 😍😍
I personally don't even find Sergey's entries that spectacular, there are better entries of other artists. But the biggest crime imo is still Finland not qualifying in 2017😭😭
Yeah, Black Bird! ☹ Destroyed by juries. 😡
Leaving aside perfomances, Sergey sings professionally and doesn't offtune. I don't stan him, but recognise his talent and hard work.
Siren song wasn't disqualified. Maruv disapproved of the contract and refused to sign it and ukraine couldnt get a better contract or a replacement song in time so they did participate in 2019
Keino and Dotter not qualifying from the national final are the 2 biggest crimes ever.
I'm still salty over Siren Song not being performed in ESC. Would have been Ukraine's 3rd win.
Actually Poland needed 2 points in 2019 to qualify and Lithuania 1 point, but Croatia needed 6 points. The one who have more televoting points is higher
Still agree on most of the crimes
But both should've qualified
@@MustiiForTheWin i agree Poland should have qualified but not instead Belarus. Denmark is a better qualifier for me but Croatia should have been instead of Norway
@@EKalinovski I actually prefer Norway
Agree about:
- Andorra 🇦🇩 never qualifying (in 2007 they definitely deserved to qualify)
- Horehronie 🇸🇰 not qualifying
- I'm Yours 🇦🇹 and Black Smoke 🇩🇪 getting 0 points
- neighbours/diaspora voting
- Montaigne 🇦🇺 not coming to Rotterdam and Daði & Gagnamagnið 🇮🇸 not performing live
- Portugal 🇵🇹 waiting 53 years for a victory, or even a top 5
- Germany 🇩🇪, United Kingdom 🇬🇧 and Spain 🇪🇸 (and France 🇫🇷, but not this year) being underrated (but sometimes they deserve those low places. I hope they will take Eurovision more seriously in the future)
- Switzerland 🇨🇭, Greece 🇬🇷 and Latvia 🇱🇻 not qualifying in 2018 (Croatia didn't deserve to qualify from the strongest semi final ever, and I hate Malta that year)
- Australia 🇦🇺 being extremely overrated by the jury in 2017 (c'mon, how can this be better than Blanche, for example? The jury placed Australia 4th and Belgium 9th, but overall they switched the places - Belgium 4th and Australia 9th)
- Azerbaijan 🇦🇿 never singing in Azeri (maybe it'll finally happen in 2022? I guess we'll have a lot of native languages next year, following the success of the native languages this year)
- Sergey Lazarev 🇷🇺 being always 3rd (but I mean the opposite of what you mean - he was overrated. In both 2016 and 2019 there were way better songs, that deserved to finish above him)
- Finland 🇫🇮 being the most underrated Nordic country
- Slovenia 🇸🇮 and Croatia 🇭🇷 being the most underrated Balkan countries (I would add North Macedonia 🇲🇰 too)
- Latvia 🇱🇻 being the most underrated Baltic country
France 🇫🇷 losing the tie break in 1991 (btw - if France won in 1991 instead of Sweden, then France had 6 wins, and Sweden only 5... The opposite of how it really is)
- The 4 zeros in 2021 🇬🇧🇩🇪🇪🇸🇳🇱 (I don't think that anyone deserved 0 points this year)
I agree about my country 🇦🇿. But sorry, Sergey should've won in both editions
@@MustiiForTheWin maybe in 2016, when he was first in the televoting (even though I don't like the song and think that Ukraine 🇺🇦 really deserved that win), but definitely not in 2019. Do you really think that Scream would've been a more worthy winner than Arcade 🇳🇱, Soldi 🇮🇹, She Got Me 🇨🇭 or even Spirit in the Sky 🇳🇴 (that I didn't like back then but now I kinda like it)?
@@tzoreehandler9163 it's my opinion, I respect yours but Sergey is great singer and he was my winner in both editions
And now we add Käärijä's cha cha cha to the list.
Oh my, I’m just a minute into watching this, and can’t already agree more! Why Andorra never made to final? How come Horehronije didn’t qualify? And Adrenalina not receiving public votes it deserved?!
Oh my and non qualification of Croatia, Romania and Australia 🤦🏼♂️ like any other year they could’ve been contenders for the win
And by the way Finland being most underrated Nordic country lays in the fact they’re not Scandinavian. I’m partially Finnish as per my DNA test, so this fact makes me sad, when I’m fact they’re more successful in managing life
Slovakia deserved top 5 in that lack luster year
Andorra should have qualified with Sense Tu
Adrenalina not being San Marino’s best song is infuriating
1:52 Amen to that!
2:13 They should still be waiting
2:58 Croatia would probably make my top 5 of crimes
3:21 See below
3:34 Wow, agree with all of them
4:03 See below
4:26 Slovenia definitely, but Croatia only three times (including this year)
5:00 Would have won with current tie-break rule
5:08 Yeah...
5:25 Hungary and Czech Republic out of these... and a few others
5:33 What was even going on... Poor James making history like that. Sad.
My top 3 in no particular order:
- Apollo being robbed by juries
- Russia not winning in 2016 because of juries (which would have prevented 1:52)
- The songs of 2020 not being allowed to compete this year and mainly Attention getting robbed 😭
Yes,I definently agree that World from Lindita should've gotten qualified to grand final.Tell me who in the world can do a 19 seconds note without stoping
Only the gorgeous Albanians ❤️❤️
Unpopular opinion, Australia 2017 wasn't overrated. It was in my top 10 as well
I don't actually think people liked Malta's song, or maybe it was one of those that part of people enjoyed, but it was noone's favourite so nobody voted for it. Anyways, I hated it, but my taste is different as I'm a huge fan of classic rock, so it's hard to tell
Crimes in ESC 2021:
*Armenia not participating at all. Worse still, the date of the final was on Athena Manoukian’s birthday.
*The 4x televoting nul points and my fave song from my country in a while being its worst faring entry ever (even more so than Jemini) at a time when it has suffered enough through incompetent politicians. Tbf, the staging was overdone and James looked clunky on stage, problems similar to Spain in 2019, another robbed bop.
All 4 nul points in televoting were actually quite good.
*Latvia being last in heat 2 for a song substantially superior to its predecessor.
*San Marino and Flo not being National best
*Malta getting fewer televotes than Moldova, Sweden and Serbia.
* Bulgaria getting only 30 points
@@NSq12 they deserved more. There was me thinking Victoria would be the best faring first refusal (if not Dadi) but it was actually Gjon that would win that honour. Still 30-odd was way too low for her even though she wasn’t my style.
Denmark not qualifying
@@kuutio3730 whilst it was a bit stereotypical, they performed it well, and qualification would have been deserved, more so than Moldova, also the only nation not to give it a televote.
Every time Finland starts the semi-final, Ukraine wins the Eurovision
Agreed. I would add - Turkey being EXTREMELY underrated until 1997, and Greece and Cyprus also being very underrated until 1997.
Central Europe also has to work harder for televotes (Hungary, Poland, Czech Rep, Slovakia, Austria, and even Slovenia [which overlaps southern and central])... Especially because Central Europe doesn't seem to have as bad of a neighbor-voting trend.
that's true except for Poland who has a strong diaspora
Well Latvia won at least once, unlike Lithuania.
"Sirene Song" wasn't technically disqualified tho
Also imri (israel 2017) came 23rd in the final when he was 3rd (!!!!) In the semi-final
MARUV wasn't actually disqualified. Ukraine just withdrew that year
Because of shitty problem between russia and ukraine. Always politics even in a beautiful music show.
Lithuania 🇱🇹 is more underrated then Latvia 🇱🇻 I think
Latvia almost never qualify to the finals
Add Käärijä now to this
This is a good video :D pls make part 2
Did you really not mention Eurovision 2020 getting cancelled?
they did dumbaas
@@vincentstef5708 They mentioned 2020 artists losing the chance to represent their country. I'm talking about the possibility of a country getting their first win in 2020 or a participating song becoming a worldwide hit ('Think About Things' still did though).
@@dimidrugg9592 u said eurovision 2020 getting cancelled as a whole. but she mentioned it. and saying 'did you really not mention it' makes it sound like it's an obvious thing that should be included. But from what you told me, it sounds really specific and weird. There would be no point as she already mentioned it getting cancelled😐😐
1:42 The staging would have been spectacular with the bigger stage...
"Adrenalina" not doing well was really expected. The song itself is great but ESC viewers do not want an international superstar to win Eurovision or do well. THe "star bonus" is basically non existent, I feel like. Everyone was just confused. THe song itself is total fire, but that killed their chances and I was not at all surprised by the results.
hatari didn't win 2019 is the biggest crime
I'm from Azerbai̇jan and Mata Hari is not one of our best entries... It was way underrated but we sent many better ones
I liked it tbh, 20th place was very underrated
@@meowpoosaymeow eh I still think that the most underrated one is 2014
I quite liked "Mata Hari", and was glad it qualified to the ESC 2021 Grand Final. It's an eastern style song, which includes eastern style instruments, and the line “Yalan da men, yanan da men, yaman da men” (I like the way that adds to the eastern style of the song). In other words, it has everything one can expect in an Azerbajani song. What more could one ask for from Azerbaijan?
@@TumbleTower I also think it should've qualified. But there's more ethnic songs from Azerbai̇jan. 2008 was a hard rock song included the famous Azerbaijani Muğam.
2009 was a traditional dance. 2012 was a ballad including a famous Muğam singer as backing vocalist. 2014 was another ethnic ballad. 2019 also has parts of Muğam.
I believe Poland didn't win in 1994 because of political reasons.
I think also that at the time it didn't happen that a debuting country would win and host ESC next year (not counting 1956 bc it was different) and maybe people weren't ready for such situation to happen? (dunno how to explain this)
@@origo1165 So the reason actually Poland didn't win, is because during their rehearsal, the singer sang in English because she started to lose her voice and since polish is just so sounds to do. But someone countries wanted Poland to be disqualified. The countries that protested didn't give points to Poland at all. Also, after she preformed it live she fully lost her voice.
@@ignonito6130 however, some of the countries that wanted Poland to be DQd still gave points (from the countries that were in favour of DQing Poland: iirc Estonia even gave 12 pts XD , Iceland gave 6 or 7 pts... :D ), but some of them just maybe gave lower notes...
Sorry but San Marino 2021 is one of the worst I’ve ever heard
I knew from the beginning that the juries would torpedo that song
wasn‘t a good song. and i dont wanna know how much money the rapper received.
@@marcop4107 I heard he performed it for free in order to help Senhit with her career with a certain record label.
Thank you from Finland💙
Azerbaijan actually had a song in their language (at least a part of it) - Mata Hari
YALAN DA MƏN YANAN DA MƏN YAMAN DA MƏN
@@MustiiForTheWin evet sizinle gurur duydum 🇹🇷🇦🇿
Croatia 2016 is extremly overrated, not underrated
Yes I agree
@Christian Luong Larsson true, shouldn't qualified
I'd add a crime they did to Melovin in 2018
I saw many of your comments)) I Know what you mean: You want that Illaria Represent Ukraine.
@@stavrospapadopolus543 Yes, she was my absolute winner that year but Melovin was good too. I wasn't that frustrated
Disko not making it into the Grand final in 2022 broke my heart. They should’ve gotten in second at least but we all knew Ukraine was going to based on not only Stefania being a great song but also because of the ongoing war which gave sympathy to Ukraine. I don’t have a problem with it but it’s a hard decision between them but Disko is better being my current Favorite song
Icebraker is the biggest crime, i love that song😩
Nice Video, agree on a lot of those crimes, especially on Hungary 2016 being underrated. 2016 was a really strong year, but Hungary deserved at least top 10 and for me it is my winner.
Here are some other crimes that come to my mind:
2011 being one of the worst years for a lot of fans, although it is so good and is mostly judged by the weak winner
Finland, Hungary and Estonia being underrated in 2011
Bulgaria didn't win although it is one of the best countries in eurovision
Some NQs: Slovakia 2010, Bulgaria 2011, Portugal 2014, Iceland 2016, Albania 2017, (Australia 2021)
Moldova 2009 deserved way more
about Hungary 2016 I SO MUCH AGREE WITH YOU ON THAT! this really deserved at least top10, if not a win - and with their win at least we would've avoided all this drama between Russia and Ukraine...and if Origo was still chosen for 2017, what a magnificent host entry it would've been...
2011 wasn't really strong but I don't think it's awful, the first semi had literally 5 good songs but the second was pretty strong. I don't understand when people say Running Scared was a deserved winner because the year was weak, because there were many valid songs that were better
For me:
Portugal 🇵🇹 1966
Portugal 🇵🇹 1969
Turkey 🇹🇷 1975
Morocco 🇲🇦 1980
Finland 🇫🇮 1983
Finland 🇫🇮 1985
Greece 🇬🇷 1991
Poland 🇵🇱 1994
Turkey 🇹🇷 1996
Turkey 🇹🇷 2000
France 🇫🇷 2001
Portugal 🇵🇹 2008
Slovakia 🇸🇰 2010
Italy 🇮🇹 2015
Germany 🇩🇪 2015
Estonia 🇪🇪 2018
Azerbaijan 🇦🇿 2021
The biggest crimes ever
PORTUGAL 1966! That year was a travesty! All the good songs fell low in the scoreboard! Spain, Portugal, Luxembourg, Italy, Yugoslavia!
Azerbaijan 2021🥺
Estonia 🇪🇪 2011
We were more underrated in 2014 than 2021. 🇦🇿🇦🇿
@@MustiiForTheWin well according to you ! Anyway indeed Azerbaijan 🇦🇿 was underrated many times like in 2015 !!
One of my big crimes is San Marino, Israel, and Montenegro not qualifying in 2013 when they were all great songs
Iceland not participating live on stage in 2 semi-final and grand final because of corona
The reason France got 2nd in 1991 was because of their tie breaker rule which goes off of the number of 12 points then 10 points if they have equal amount of 12 then so on and so forth
Both had 4 sets of 12 points, but Sweden had 5 sets of 10s to France's 2 so that's why Sweden won in 1991. However, had today's tiebreaker rule been used that year, France would have won because 1 more country voted for it over Sweden (18 countries voted for France while 17 voted for Sweden)
One of the biggest crimes ever is Croatia NQying to the Grand Final in 2021
Another crime: Poland being last in first semi final in 2011
this, especially with Portugal being second last then... XDDDD
I only heard the bridge and chorus but Poland >>>> many qualifiers in that heat that year.
First 5 entries from that semi had technical difficulties with the audio but weren't allowed to perform again. I actually think she totally nailed the performance considering this inconvenience
@@LovelyAngel. Poland, Norway and Turkey were better than many qualifiers, but Albania and Armenia were terrible. How were Armenia just one point short (and closer than Turkey or Norway) and yet they were 16th in their heat (rather than 12th) in 2019? And some even questioned the chances of their best ever entry (2020 ofc) of qualifying.
In Eurovision is good to learn the diference between a crime and personal taste... is going to help you 😜
5:42 Yup. The first time ever that a scorecard (U.K.) was left _completely_ blank, jury _and_ televote.
This is so interesting ngl
Malta still waiting for a win i guess
4:45 pali sie is such a banger
YES MASTERPIECE
Horehronie 😥
Random country's being "underrated" is a crime but not Italy not winning in 2015
Greece + Cyprus , the SCANDINAVIAN COUNTRIES as well as in the past Turkey and Azerbaijan too.....
Only a Greek would put Scandinavian countries in all caps. I see that argument used every time someone points out that Greece and Cyprus always give each other 12 points. And while Greeks and Cypriots get high strung, Scandinavians and Turkish/Azeris laugh it off. So the point of my reply is just to chill and laugh it off when people mention the way your two countries vote at ESC.
3:19 exactly, how many good nq songs 😍
1. Icelands 2016 &' Croatias 2021 NQ
2. Hungarys without since 2020..
3. Destinys 47Points from TV???
4. Poland 2016 only 7 Points from jury?
5. Zero Points for I Stand (Cze2016)
6. Bosnias without...
7. 🇮🇹11, 🇷🇺12 and 🇦🇿13=2nd Places
8. Estonias 2019 Quali....?
9. Estonias 2015 Jury Points
10. Corona 2020...
Feel like, in addition of the geopolitics surrounding you-know-who, some of the Arab countries got scared off by Saïd flopping in 1980
morrocos placing was the biggest Eurovision crime of all time, alot of the entries placed ahead of it was very mediocre with only some songs being amazing that year, she should have at least got runner up if she couldn't win... The Turkish viewers complained their jury didn't give any points... Man Europe did hate the song back then, honestly probably because of religion.
Rome 1991 was the beginning of a great war between Italians and French (it's irony and I'm Italian)
0:57 There was other story with ukraine that year. She wasnt disqualificated. She didnt agree with the rules that deligation of ukraine gived to MARUV
"Underrated Big Five Countries" and then lists the remaining three of the five that never do well lol
Idc about uk & Germany but i found Spain extremely underrated
Don't come easy is my fav Australian entry 😍 I can relate with the other "crimes" btw
Poland biggest crimes:
Sending blanka and rafał to eurovision
Michał not winning
Not sending Dominik, Alicja or Jann to eurovision
4:13 I'm very sad about this
Spain in 2015 being so damn low, THAT was THE CRIME.
Also add that almost no balkan countryes (exept Romania and Greece) not qualifing to the final in 2013.
The BIGGEST crime of them all (in my opinion) Australia NOT WINNING the 2016 ESC !!! also definitely agree with the 5 countries not qualifying on the 2018 grand final especially Greece !
Icebreaker didn't even get to the final.
I miss Portugal 2018 placing last in final
4 countries with NUL points in televote in Grand Final 2021 - Insanity. They got more votes in Semi Final to qualify for Grand Final
The last one was a REAL crime
Then we can translate Sergey Lazarev into Italian and we will get Toto Cutugno
You are either Ukraine, who qualifies EVERY TIME, or Andorra who doesn't qualify, EVERY TIME.
Lithuania is clearly the most underated Baltic country and the only one to never win, Latvia did pretty good in the 00’s.
Altså justice for Montenegro that only have been in the final 2 times and didnt even got in top 10 in 2015 with a amazing song.
Lithuania has had good songs at times.
Montenegro arguably had their best this year and didn't qualify.
do you seriously think russians DQ in 2017 is a crime.... listen her singing live, it's horrible
Azerbaijan AND SWEDEN never sending a song in their language.
And also San Marino being the last place in 2008
Marocco - it's not a crime, it's just their choice, they'd rather not participate in ESC for political reasons, than forget politics and join this biggest musical event and show Europe their music and culture. Or maybe you meant it's their crime against ESC and public - then yes.
I think it would be weird, if Marocco would be on Eurovision, considering, it is country , that is located in Africa :D
@@ollektriinu really not, they are EBU member, so they can participate, they did once, but they don't anymore because of Israel. Australia takes part (only since 2015, but still), but they are not in Europe either.
@@polinabernard7579 , actually I think, Australia dont belong to Eurovision too :D I mean, for me, it has always been EUROPE SONG CONTEST. Thats why the EUROvison :) Otherwise it should be "Worldvision" or something :) And I think everyone thought that Australia participacion was one-time thing , for the Eurovision anniversary ( 2015) :)
@@ollektriinu well, ESC rules say otherwise and any country - EBU member has right to participate. For example USA may be there next year already.
@@polinabernard7579 , wow, really? :O Well, I don`t mind listening more songs , but for the concept it just feels weird to me :)
Well, Azerbaijan usually get Swedes to write their music for them..
3:49 nice transition
Siren song was withdrawn, not disqualified. Which makes it even more criminal
Slovenia 2005. Omar Naber - Stop. The biggest ESC-crime in history in my opinion.
yeah macedonia not qualifying in 2017 i was so pissed off back then. i found jana way more better than ogene and i am from the netherlands so i am not suppose to say that 🙈🤣🤣
Italy was not the winner of Eurovision 2015 even though Il Volo was incredibly wonderful
They definitely were but the song sucked.
3:55 That changes this year, although not in full. You'll hear a bit of Azerbaijani this May, along with their cultural sound. 👍🇦🇿
I'm sorry, but "underrated" big 5 countries? They're not underrated. They just don't send good songs. Send a good song and we will vote.
The thing is, even when they have sent good songs they were underrated. Germany 2015, UK 2017 and Spain 2019 being prime examples.
Horehronie was one of the best songs in 2010. With Cyprus 2022 that`s the biggest crime that didn`t qualify for the final in my opinion. But the biggest crime ever is that ESC 2020 never was held. So many good songs that year, and it would be fantastic to see them all on the scene.
