  • SHIFTRY allows you to have a measure of control against the setup of your opponent's bench. You get to choose which pokémon your opponent can retain on their bench while you make them shuffle everything else back to their deck.
    (This build was designed for 2024 STANDARD format Regulation Cards "F" through "TEF" Expansion)

    that match vs Gengar was an absolute horrendous uphill battle
    Props to both players for duking it out and having the mental to play out such bricked hands

    That Iron Bundle that pushes your opponents pokemon to the back might also be useful here

    The misplay worked out in the end to be even better than intended:)

      Yeah, videos for new builds are really difficult sometimes because I'm still literally learning how to pilot the deck as I go, so my brain is all over the place. It's like trying to operate a complicated machine that you just designed and built today. But of course, I'm always happy when it works out in the end. 😃

    Bruh. Hand trimmer on 16 💀 both those hand trimmers were brutal. Lol I was also devastated by that ultra ball, but now you can shake it off as all being a clever misplay to lull them into a false sense of security and set up that discard 11 play 😎 😂

    Joseph, I love the build! Also your evil laugh is so thrilling and I laugh every time I hear it.
    I recommend one or two copies of Cyllene. Getting back candies, prime catcher are important in the later stages of the match. I’d also recommend one Team Yell Cheer.
    I like the idea of Tserenna and to take prizes when needed. However I’m more inclined to use single prizers to cause more disruption and stall tactics. Crushing Hammer would go well here too. It’s a shame that Seaking with ripping horn attack was not reprinted.
    Keep up the great work and I’ll catch you in the next video.

    Zard ex players might hate disrupting their charmanders due to one of the few weakness of the zard ex deck.

    It's creative, but i would just cut Shiftry out and focus more on Tsareena with the panic mask & frigid room Vanilluxe. Although at that point, its not disruption anymore.

    Would this be better with Scovillian EX to disrupt hand/deck too? litterally take their board away entirely if needed

    deck funny, its very difficult combination 😢

    I feel like in the Gengar game you could've played to empty their bench.

    Shiftry's attack feels like it should've been on a stage 1

    • @PopsicleKnight
      @PopsicleKnight  Před 3 měsíci +2

      Yeah, that's what makes this build even more difficult, because of the stage 2 set up.

    • @stevenokeefe2681

      Still it is a single prize version of Glimmora ex, only you choose what they keep on their bench

    Is the tserena tool still in standard?

    • @PopsicleKnight
      @PopsicleKnight  Před 3 měsíci

      Are you thinking about the Panic Mask? If so, yes it is. I purposely did not include it in the deck just because I wanted to focus on showcasing SHIFTRY. But you can definitely just lower the Shiftry lineup to 2-0-2, and add 2 copies of Panic Mask in this deck. But honestly, Tsareena ex on it's own is already really great.

      I was thinking the same thing. This build would have been way better if that was still in the standard format. Although, I could still try it out on the Expanded format. 🤔
