- Beeswax paper is a great alternative for the plastic wrap and plastic bags that we're used to on a daily basis and it's super fun & easy to make! 🐝🍯

You should wash the fabric to remove processing chemicals
Thanks for not over talking and getting straight to the DIY loved your video

THANKS LOL
Without an oil the beeswax will flake off, and it wont be sticky enough without pine rosin. I even put lemongrass essential oil in mine for extra protection.
How long do they last u?
I have been making these for about 5 years. I started out using oil and resin and went to only using beeswax. I use washed thin linen or cotton. The thinner the material the better.
When they start to look rough and don't cling, lay them between paper again and run a hot iron over them. If they are used a lot maybe once a month. When reheating no longer works just re-wax them. ✌
That's what I read.
Can i use coconut oil for these? Also will lemongrass essential oil a good substitute for pine resin?
@@a.mar.lifestyle The oil and the resin perform 2 different functions: the oil makes it more pliable and resistant to cracking, while the resin makes it sticky and improves the seal. I’m allergic to pine resin, so I’ll just use the beeswax and a little jojoba oil.
Hi Klaudia, Is not melted a bit if u have it in bag? How you use it in summer, is´nt it melted? thank you :)
Świetny pomysł ! Ekologicznie i zdrowotnie ))) przeraża mnie źycie wśród plastiku.Wszechobecny plastik niszczy nas i przyrodę. Nie wspomnę juz o coraz wyższych kosztach wywozu odpadów. Pozdr o z Rzeszowa
Wow such a nice video klaudia way to go
hello i realy wanted to buy beeswax wrap but i dont know where haha so i searched on youtube on how to diy these wraps..and i found you! Thanks! ❤️❤️❤️
Apparel you can bake them, a lot faster and less mess!
may not melt as evenly as when controlled with an iron, not quicker at all and you need to use an old baking tray which will get runined, but personal preferrence.
This is so cool, im so doing this 😁
This was so awesome and easy!
What website can you purchase them from that you are referencing
cani use newspaper instead of parchment paper?
Someone mentioned to pre wash the fabric because of sizing but also manufacturer puts formaldehyde on the fabrics so you will want to remove that too.
Formaldehyde is usually meant to be a ‘permanent’ treatment and is *very* difficult to remove completely (which is why it’s called “permanent press”). Soaking overnight in a strong vinegar solution can help break it down, followed by several washings. Safer and easier would be to simply buy untreated organic cotton.
Yeah good job girl I’m on the case right away 🌈🦔🌻🐝🦉
Super filmik! Oby jak najwięcej z nas wzięło z Ciebie przykład :) Czekam na kolejne filmy! Buźka :*
You can also put the fabric with beeswax in the oven to reduce waste by not having to use parchment paper, just keep a close eye on it as it may burn

I am confused some users saying you need beeswax and others saying pine resin and coconut oil? Which is it?
All three. Beeswax to coat the fabric, with a few drops of oil to make it more pliable, and resin to make it sticky.
You didn’t mention that you should wash your fabric first with a mild scent free soap and no fabric softener, as it has sizing in it and I wouldn’t want that covering my food products... just a little helpful hint...👍🏻 I’ve made these, and in fact I have a request for more to be made this Christmas for gifts for a number of people... I love making them and I agree with helping keep plastic bags/wraps out of the environment !!
Forgot to add that it will be more pliable if you add pine rosin and also jojoba oil to your mixture... It is definitely a huge help and after a 100-200 uses and just wiping them after each use w/ cool water and a mild soap , rinse and let air dry... you can then add fresh beeswax to reuse them for another 100-200 uses think how much help you will be giving our environment, one final thing, when you talked about the fabric be sure it is 100% organic cotton and if they get worn out ever it will be compostable!!! 👌🏻
Awesome video! Subscribed for sure!
Ale super... Nawet mam wosk! :-) Myślałaś, żeby poprawić jakość Twojego audio? Wydaje mi się, że jesteś bardzo cicho - a mówisz pięknie po angielsku :D
I just randomely found youre channel. :)
do you add beeswax on both sides of the fabric??
Just the one side as the wax soaks through to the other side of the material
Good job! So much prettier!
Hey there! Love this video! Can’t wait to follow you on Instagram. I’ve noticed that people use pine resin and jojoba oil for the wraps. Do you think the beeswax alone is good enough ? How long does one last you? Is it sticky enough?
Natasha I don’t think you necessarily need the other ingredients it just makes it stickier but if you just use the beeswax it should be fine, only thing is sometimes the beeswax can start to sort of flake off but if you just put the wrap in the oven for a couple seconds so the wax re melts down they will be as good as new 👍🏽
Instead of jojoba oil can I use coconut oil? Cause I still have half bottle of coconut oil and I dont want to waste it
Not rlly fond of using beeswax... :c any alternatives?
I use the same method and I found my beeswax wrap surface wasn’t smooth
anybody have a cute way to store these now? because if it gets hot, it will melt some. I want to see how you store in the drawers. eek and also no pine resin or jojoba? have you found any issue with JUST beeswax? the colors she used are awesome.
H B i've seen people rolling them up. for keeping it from meltibg i would suggest leaving it in the fridge so that it won't melt at home
@@clarucho Great idea! 👍
Better yet, if you live someplace hot enough to melt beeswax inside your home, maybe consider moving. 😉🥵
What is the fabric made of? Can you use any fabric?
Josh Forrest 100% cotton fabric is the only kind you should be using because it will fully absorb the bees wax and it is also the only kind that will be fully biodegradable ☺️
You could use 100% hemp or 100% cotton fabric!
If you use pine resin, you wont have to use a string to close
Wait is parchment paper baking paper?
It’s just Eva i think so
It’s just Eva Yes! :)
I made some of these
Kathleen, that's so awesome! Let me know how they're working out for you!
Thank you, this was so helpful!
Don't use wax sheets, they put parafins in there. Just stick with beeswax blocks.
Get to know a beekeeper and they may even give you the wax for free. :)
Uwazam je uzywanie szklanych pudeleczek jest jeszcze lepsze :)
Taaak! Szklane pudełeczka są również super
Excellent good
I love the idea of you making a video but using coconut oil and johoba oil will make this last longer and be more plyable. Add pine resin to make it sticky. I own love wraps in cairns and have been studying bees wax wraps for 2 year and I fell its important to sharing that bees wax wraps is not not bees wax on fabric. Your wrap will just fall apart in a week if you do it like this
this is a good tip! would you suggest adding coconut oil and jojoboa oil ontop and then ironing it out, like she did in the video??
Hi! How much pine rosin, coconut oil & jojoba oil do you suggest for one wrap?
I have been using my beeswax wrap for 4 months now, I have washed them and reused them many times. I only used beeswax and the wax is NOT coming off.
Be careful with what oil you decide to use as it will eventually turn rancid...according to another youtuber...I have not checked this out yet.
I am getting ready to do a few more today and am going to try using beeswax and soy wax flakes to see if that makes them more pliable.
I agree. I’ve played with many ratios and ingredients while making these over the years. Using jojoba oil and resin makes them a far superior product for ease of use, performance and longevity.
I found out that Jojoba oil is the only oil which will not go rancid as it’s actually liquid plant wax.
i bought it on Amazon. Bees4home is the best brand of food wraps
You can try our top rated Geobless beeswax wraps, I am sure you gonna love them :)
I did everything as you did but the smell is absolutely awful, do you know why?
Cornelia B Hi! Hm, mine smell normal, like the beeswax I used! I’m guessing that’s where the problem is, did your beeswax smell good before melting it onto the material? Or was the material used and throughly cleaned before using?
Cornelia B Definitely let me know if you find the cause! I’m really curious why that could happen :(
If the fabric was not 100% cotton it doesnt work, maybe that affects it?
Hello i do like you
