  • How to make your own Beeswax Wraps so you never have to use plastic-wrap again! Here's an easy step-by-step, it's SO easy!
These are one of the best eco-friendly alternatives you can make.
Beeswax wraps can be used to store food in the fridge, cupboard, cover leftovers or even wrap up sandwiches for school!
    All you need:
    - 20x30cm Fabric
    - 2g Coconut Oil
    - 20g Wax Pellets
    - 2g Powdered Pine rosin (optional: the finer the powder the better, this gives you a stiffer wrap)
    Vegan Wax Alternatives:
    - Soy wax
    - Candelilla wax

Thanks for watching everyone! We just wanted to add, you can add a TINY sprinkle of rosin to your wrap if you would like it to be a little stiffer!

I use the beeswax and add about 2% of pine resin to make them sticker.

I am just gearing up to make some of these with my friend for Christmas. Do you have a recommendation on how much Candelilla wax to use? In other recipes it usually is converted to half the amount of beesewax needed, but I didn't know if you have found a sweet spot amount for these! These look so fun and easy! Thank you for the video!

      Hi Allie :)
Half is the recommended conversion rate but, I think it's really valuable to experiment as everyone's preference and material is different :)
These are such a great idea for Christmas!
I'll be making them too 😁😀

Fabric is made with a process using formaldehyde, are you using a natural organic cotton fabric?

Please move away from instructing listeners to pre-heat their ovens. I understand this is done because different ovens need different lengths of time to warm up but this level of precision is not essential. In my opinion energy conservation is more important and would be a coherent message for a zero waste channel. Thank you.
