He didn't gain the GM title because in a tournament took 0,5 less that threshold. So a draw in his last winning game let him be IM instead.

Can someone explain why svidler can’t just take the knight on e5? To me it looks like that just wins back the knight because if dxe5 levy can’t take the rook and if he plays Nxe5 hitting the queen again svidler just takes his queen because now they’re even again
Take the queen w check and rook is hanging I think
if svidler wanted to continue taking the knight and the queen are probably his best options but at the end of the exchange levy is up a rook

Correct me if im wrong, if white takes with pawn black takes with other knight and still get a fork, even if then white took queen by rook black will take queen with knight check then takes the rook and the endgame will be Rook for black vs knight for white right?
