Originally from Liverpool UK, me (Andrew The KnightStrider) and Laura moved to Tenerife 8 years ago, and enjoy showcasing the island and our general life in the Canary Islands as well as travelling abroad.
Join us in Santa Cruz for a walk and explore along the main city promenade! We gaze at some of the fantastic cruise ships that were docked such as the P&O Iona the the Mein Schiff 3! After a coffee with some lovely views we then head to the Meridiano Shopping centre to go to Primark to scout for some bargains!

Enjoying your catch up, we did a canaries cruise a few years ago on the Royal Caribbean Adventure of the Seas and we docked at Sante Cruz but this was in October and the weather was dismal so we didn’t venture far so it’s nice to watch your recent vlog, thanks Andrew & Laura for a very nice tour

Hi Andrew and Laura. Excellent vlog again, and we were on Iona the very day you were both there videoing the ships. Pity we didn’t bump in to you. We did see your drone from our balcony and enjoyed the gorgeous weather during our stay. I agree with you Andrew, in that we would like the cruise ships to call in to one of the southern ports. Still enjoyed what Santa Cruz had to offer

Yes we were on the MSC Splendida in the Emirates .. lovely big ship.. We have been twice to Santa Cruise on cruises out of Southampton.. up Teide on the first and toured the city on the second one ..

Great to see Santa Cruz again. Love it! A few years since we’ve been there but have always said we’d like to book a hotel for a night or two. The Meridian Centre is a fabulous place to shop. We’ve booked a Celebrity Cruise on the new Beyond in the Western Mediterranean fir early October. It’s a brand new cruise ship so really excited to be on it. Thanks for a another super vlog. xx

Great vlog Andrew & Laura .. been there twice on cruise ships also on that MSC Splendida ship We love cruising but last one we did was 2019 (30 total) Very expensive now so sticking with Tenerife lol Loved seeing Santa Cruz again xx👍👍💖

Great quality video thanks. As you said there’s a lot more to see in the Capital. A evening around the city would be a good video, sampling the local food & drink, & nightlife around the La Noria district. Whenever we come to Tenerife we stay up here for a couple of nights while on holiday in the south, it definitely adds to it

The ships run coach trips to Las Americas …the north , Teide..etc
Not got much time though to enjoy it
When the Covid thing kicked in and all the cruiuse ships were out of use they docked them offshore at Weymouth, looked impressive seeing a dozen ships out in the water.

How about the Iona cruise ship? Wow, it looked the size of four hotels side by side, it always amazes me how something that size floats!

I was on Iona and in Santa Cruz that day with my husband on our honeymoon, shame we didn’t see you, but we both loved it and we have never been to Tenerife before, we would definitely book to come back for longer and maybe see the south too! Great video as always 👍

We were there last Tuesday Andrew. We did a 7 night cruise on Marella explorer, it was cheaper than staying in a 4 star hotel in las americas.

the number 1 highlight in Santa Cruz is the military museum where are displayed all the items related to the 1797 Battle of Santa Cruz de Tenerife where admiral Horatio Nelson was defeated and lost his right arm,notice when you visit Trafalgar square in London his right arm is missing,it was lost in Tenerife,I like to say that in that day "Tenerife saved the ass of Spain",should Britain had taken possesion of Tenerife,the island would had become a formidable launchpad for the expansion of the british empire at that time,I think spanish shouldn´t be one of the most spoken languages in the world ,Britain would have conquered most of then Spanish America,the port of Santa Cruz was also a stopover point for famous british explorers such as James Cook and George Vancouver in the eighteen century,Tenerife is an island with much history,greetings from Tenerife and nice video as usual
