Georgia hasn’t lost a regular season game since November 7, 2020. Georgia hasn’t lost *_ANY_* game to *_ANY1_* not named Alabama since November 7, 2020. . .& their roster is PROVEN better than Ohio State’s right now w/o any of the shiny, new toys.

He has a weird thing with Ryan Day. It's almost all the way out of the closet at this point. Even with Mich winning the last 3 to OSu and had JJ and everyone coming back, he would still have OSu #1 even without a proven QB.

Michigan fan here. Ironically, I was the 145th person to like this video. I'm glad to see Joel taking Michigan seriously. #8 is fine with me. That defense will be something else this year. The running game should be extremely dangerous too. And before people start talking about that offensive line being inexperienced, they have three guys that have started multiple games already and the two games that haven't were both highly rated 4-Star recruits. They also have a backup tackle that can play four out of five positions on the squad and a backup center/guard that would start for most other teams. Got a load of young talent on the bench too. They'll be good. #smash

Nothing sums up the OSU fanbase better than their fans being salty that UM is ranked as high as 8 when they are ranked 1.

I love listening to Klatt, but he's on drugs to put Michigan outside the top 5. The Wolverines have too many weapons and talent, despite 13+ players drafted and Harbaugh off to the Chargers with Minter. Can't wait for the chance to run it back this year, #GoBlue ! 💙💛
I’m an OSU fan and I agree with you. You guys should be top 3.
It's just all the unknowns with the QB and new coaches. If UM goes out and beats UTx and it is a clean and close game, minds may change about UM. I don't know that it will happen, but I kind of see a possible 9-3 season with losses to (potentially) Oregon, UTx, and either a surprise upset by Fresno St or Illinois. I think Moore gets another win over the suckeyes. Day is allergic to running the ball and UM now knows how to beat ohio. Plus, they are living rent free in the heads of the red and gray team.
Their offense is going to be terrible is the problem. Great defense though

Thank you, Joel. Great job! Pump the breaks everyone!! This is only preseason predictions! Georgia has to play 3, 5 ,7& 13. OSU has to play 4,8,9 alone. They all will have brutal schedules. This definitely won't be the top 25 by seasons end. Most, even historied programs, will have a culture shock 2-3 loses.

I realize they lost a lot of players and their coach, but to not have Washington in the top 25 his a big miss. They've built a really good program up there the last couple of years, and I think the success continues. I don't see them competing for a championship or the playoffs this year, but can easily see them being ranked at the end of the year.

Michigan fan here...Michigan at #8 is fair. In '21 Michigan win the Big 10 and made the playoff being preseason unranked. In '22 they did the same while barely being top 10 preseason.
In short, preseason polls are meaningless. Go Blue!

Idk man I think michigan might top 4 again this year. Everything is the same except the coaches are different and the kids replacing the starters we lost in draft are more athletic and talented not less. It's wild that everyone's counting them out because of their schedule.

Well none of the QB options are going to be as good in 2024 as JJ McCarthy was last season, Sainristil and Corum were special players, and the WR group is largely unproven. Plus massive turnover on the coaching staff. I think #8 is more than fair-honestly I’d probably put is in the 10-15 range based on what I’ve seen.
@@EGD75 Why are you acting like Michigan is TCU? They're not. They're a true blue blood organization that has just as much history and prestige as alabama. Even Alabama went through almost 3 decades of mediocre football teams. Up until 2021 Michigan was in that position but those days are over. Harbaugh is gone, but the culture, strength and conditioning, and the scheme remain. When Loyd carr left michigan he basically dismantled his program on the way out, and michigan went though almost 2 decades of coaches destroying it further before it was finally built back up. Michigan is gonna be in the top 5 for a while now.
Ryan Day got beat so bad by Jim Harbaugh, he copied Michigan’s style of play. 😂
Just because Utah wins the big 12 doesn’t mean they’ll get a top 4 seed in the playoffs. We all know that. Look at FSU last year…
Cheatigan will go 7-5 in 2024. They lost all of their defensive coaches, have had most of their offensive coaches leave or change positions, and lost a majority of their starters from last year. Most importantly, they will not know which side of the field the offense is going to run or through to.
Klatt is really dreaming when it comes to Ohio States defense. They will have the same defensive coordinator as the last two years and he's just not a good fit in the Big Ten, as he has already shown.

I don’t discount Chip Kelly and his impact but I do discount Ryan Day letting the team run the ball for dominance. He wants to throw it around the yard. Last year, they had a point in THE GAME where they were running the ball with success and they stopped. Ohio State’s issues have not been players or execution, it has been coaching.
This is spot on. Thank you for knowing the situation for what it is I feel like I’m taking crazy pills when the issue has been with Day as Urban’s players and philosophy have left the horse shoe at this point and we have seen this decline the entire time.
Michigans Defense had a let down on that particular drive, they averaged one per game, ususally after an offensive score. They shut the door on OSU after that.

Once again, massive preseason hype for Penn state, which I'msure will only grow until they play good teams and once again lose to them. They'll have a great defense, but their offense might be even worse. Allar looked awful last year, and they lost their 4 of 5 best WRs to the portal. Even if Allar takes a big step forward (big if), he has nobody to throw it to. With the addition of Oregon, Washington, USC, and ucla to the B10, they're at best, the 4th best team in the conference.

Ohio at 1? Who's their QB? Without an elite top 3 type QB, their offense can't compete with the top defenses. Loading up on skill players is the exact same thing Day has done from 1, and as has been shown, can be stopped. Not to mention a lot of these players are new transfers. Transfers are important to add depth and plug a hole or 2, but IMO trying to build a huge part of your team through the portal each year is not a recipe for success, just ask deion. Their defense will be very good, but it isn't the best in the country and I'd argue that michigan once again has a better one. Sure, ohio will be one of the best teams in cfb, but once again they're overrated at #1 and once again will disappoint in big games.

If you disagree with that you need to spend time looking at the defensive stats from last year. Utah won the pack 12 at 8-4. OSU, Kansas state, and Iowa state are the same teams as utah
That is just simply untrue. They went 8-4 regular season last year playing 3rd and 4th string QBs, and even playing their scout team QB (5th option) against Colorado.
The years that they won the PAC, they went 9-3.
2022- losses to Florida by 3, UCLA by 10, Oregon by 3 (in Cam Rising’s worst game at Utah).
2021- losses to BYU by 9 (Cam Rising DNP), SDSU by 2 (3OT, Cam Rising subbed into the game late), and then to Oregon State by 8.
Plus, in 2021, they outscored Oregon 76-17 in regular season and the championship. They beat USC down the next year in the championship game 47-21, giving the Trojans their only two losses of 2022, which if for either loss not being there would’ve been in the CFP.
If you’re trying to say that Utah was a fraudulent team those years, then you are mistaken.
Edit to add that Oregon would’ve been in the CFP in 2021 as well if not for losing to Utah both times.
