I really think you either love or hate the way Jony talks. But that's the same with his designs and what makes him so attractive. At the beginning I found listening to him really tedious but as it went on I was fascinated by how passionate and honest he is. Truly one of a kind, never known anyone like him.
The interviewer seemed much more interested in JJ than Jony. Tsk tsk.

Jony obviously is still feeling a sense of loss. As do many of us who still miss "and one more thing." So very pleased that he is now the CDO. I hope to see a bit of Steve in all his tools for us. His and Tim's are the only stories that have credibility in my eyes.
Jony Ive: “The majority of our manufactured environment is characterized by carelessness. Everything that has been made has a biography to it, there is a story to it. It exists at the end of a whole bunch of decisions and most of those decisions were driven by price and schedule. We have genuinely tried to make products that do not stand testament to that sort of development process or to those values. Rather, they stand testament to us desperately trying to make the very best products we can because we know someone like JJ is going to sit down and stare at this screen and he will sense, he will not be able to articulate it, but we hope he will be able to sense the care that went into it and I do believe that we are capable of discerning of far more than we are able to articulate.”

I can't think of a better team for the job of manning the next Star Wars than J.J. Abrams and Bad Robot. They've been knocking it out the park since Cloverfield. Super 8, Star Trek, Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol? Enough said. I just hope Michael Giacchino is handling the score.

+PauLtus B Ask Disney. J.J. has gone on record saying he does not like 3D, but it does increase B.O. revenue since the 3D ticket is more expensive than traditional 70MM. My guess is they are really trying to take Avatar off the throne as highest grossing film of all time, which Star Wars and Batman v Superman have the potential to do.
jed52 I think it's absolute bullshit. I've seen tons of people who have a problem with 3D and for none of them the problem is price. Turn up the cost for 2D movies. I don't care. I don't think that since Avatar people are actually going to watch movies because they're in 3D, with very few exceptions for movies that were made for it.
It's ridiculous. I've been skipping movies because of 3D. The only defence I've heard of it is: "why are you complaining so much I can't even see the difference". The range of opinions just seems to go to hate to indifference so. It's really stupid. What is the point of going to the cinema if it has become the worse way to watch a movie.
