Just a note: The Denman brush D4 is not ment to detangle only to style. To detangle they advise to use the Denman paddle D83.
Maybe next time when you use the denman brush , once you’re done styling , sit under a hooded dryer for 40 minutes . To “ freeze” your hair in tht style and prevent any freeziness and once it’s fully dry you can use your blow dryer on medium heat / high speed and stretch it

I have 4c curls and when i use my denman brush on my wash and go my curls like like theyre type 3c or type 4a and ive noticed that some of my curls have become loose from using the brush or finger coiling why is that? Is the denman brush changing my curls or is my actual curl type not 4c? Cause as a baby my curls were around type 3c-4a
@@taetm8868 maybe your natural curls are just coming through again because of this brush
@@taetm8868 I don’t know but I have 4c hair as well at least that’s what people say it’s thick and Afro textured and usually have real tight curls their so kinky you wouldn’t even know there curls you would have to be up close to me to see them I really want to try the Denim brush and maybe it could loosing my curls and give me more Definition and you might have 4c hair or maybe type 3 hair I know when 4c hair has a good product on it and a good brush to use the curl looks looser sometimes

Do the praying hands method after your hair is 100% dry that helps to elongated back. You can do it with or without an oil. Only mention that because personally I’m not a fan of shrinkage but to each their own

I think it the final looks amazing especially since you didn’t pull the curls loose. I like my curls to turn out like this because they last way longer they will be big and pretty by day 3.

To get more volume try stretching and shaking out your hair with your hands!! I usually do my hair a couple hours before bed put my hair in a pinapple and it helped elongate my and good volume❤️❤️

You can band your hair with some ponytail holders to elongate the hair as well
How would you do that? Do you band the ends?

It came out great you shouldn't wash it out you just need to put some oil on your fingers and separate the curls and then it willl be bouncie and have volume.

Your hair does look good. When you struggled at the beginning I cringed when you said that it was really tangled and attempted to get the brush through. I heard that you shouldn't detangle with the denman because it will rip out your hair maybe use something else prior to save your strands but I love the way it turned out💖👏🏼

I get EXTREME frizz at my roots with the denman I have kinda seen that thinner in volume sections make the denman work better can anyone confirm
Blair Harris yes it gives me frizz at my roots as well. It definitely works better on thin loose hair

How can I used this on very short hair like 3 inches I can’t pull it down or anything it just sits on my head
I don’t think it would come out the same as longer hair ... It would be harder to separate ur hair and use the brush. But it’s still possible :). I suggest using other methods tho like finger coils or just doing regular wash and go’s with ur natural curl pattern until ur hair gets long
@@tovaeashae I can’t really finger coil my hair bec I think I might have different hair type or Damaged hair cause when it’s wet it doesn’t curly up just very frizzy and the rest of my hair is just curly and a bit frizzy

@@micha6336 i don’t suggest using it to detangle. it’s more of a styling brush so if ur using it to style i would use the 7 row.
to detangle, i would use the EZ detangling brush
