Sloop John B

Yes ok
It's not a "traditional Bahamian Song" It's a poem by Carl Sandburg put to music by the Kingston Trio in the 1950s.
Indications are that it has its origin as a Bahamian folk song. This arrangement was adapted from The Beach Boys version, although you are correct that it was recorded most famously by the Kingston Trio first. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sloop_John_B
@@tanyachang-tlc The Poem by Carl Sandburg is the origin.
@@chrisbrowne4669 Jag är en svensk släkting till Carl Sandburg!
The boat is not a sloop.
