Yeah, he has always had nice gear, but he really needs a good closet full of top-tier stuff now that this is his job. It's awesome to see home getting good stuff and good to see him picking nice, solid bargain equipment over the hyped-up, big-dollar stuff.
Thanks Norm. 4 am I started watching the unboxing and now I can’t go back to sleep haha. The science behind fishing now is astounding. Zebco 404 50 years ago just push a button and throw haha. Best set up I have is a Lews spinning combo. It’s red and black haha shows ya how much I know about the new fishing equipment of today’s standards. Exciting video and always fun fun fun. Excellent content. I recently crossed over to Lew's for there military support and awesome equipment and have not looked at anything else. I started with a speed spool LFS and now have the Mach Crush combo. "I even bought it at the Lews outlet store in Springfield with the great sales team". My dream combo would be a Lews Pro Ti. I could not imagine what kind of fishing I could do with that beast.....Keep the video's flowing and happy hunting for them MONDO's

FAV RR combo: Daiwa Tatula F/P on a St. Croix Mojo Rod Heavy 8ft. Amazing Flipping and Pitching rod. My other is the New Daiwa Tatula and a St. Croix MH Mojo 7’, it’s my chatterbait rod and I can get a bait anywhere w it!! Perfect bend on cast, retrieve, and catching big bass!!
I completely agree with the philosophy of spending more on a texas rig/jig rod for the extra sensitivity. If you are going to spend more on one rod, definitely make it your texas rig/jig rod!

Founded doesn’t mean bases. When he started he couldn’t afford the high end things and now he can. I don’t think I heard him say he was ditching the budget reviews and challenges. The man just wants to be competitive when he is standing toe to toe with CZcamsrs like LoJo, kickin their Bass TV, or the YakPak. He goes on with his few combos and more often then not, he’s opening a can in them. So.... give the man a break. I for one love to see my fellow Americans become successful. He and guys like LoJo are a perfect example of common guys like myself being able to become successful enough to get paid for something we love to do.

Favorite combo is the Uglystick carbon baitcast combo. Got it from a yardsale for 30 bucks and loved it ever since
Just bought the Lews Custom Speed Spool Baitcasting Reel 6:8:1 and Lews Custom SpeedStick Casting Rod 6' 8" which had some good reviews on both. This will be my first Baitcasting combo so nervous but excited to use it. You got really detailed on what bait is good on each Rod, to me a Rod is a Rod which handles your basic tackle but i'm semi new to fishing where i just went out with a spinning reel and just cast! Great Video, it did help with the information you gave.

Great content Norm!! As always....my favorite combo lately has been the Mach 1 bait caster in 7’3”...it is so smooth!!! My all-time favorite combo from when I first started bait casting is an Abu Garcia ambassador in red on a 6’10” old Berkley rod that was given to me from my uncle when I was like 9 or 10...nice unboxing by the way...looks like Christmas!!!!

I purchased a Mach 1 last year and I love it! It was a huge upgrade from my Bass Pro Tourney Special that I’ve retired and better than the abu Garcia Pro Max in my opinion. Bought my wife the Walmart version of the smash with the green/white color scheme and I love that one too! I completely agree with the quality/cost ratio, you can’t beat the deal! Just need to convince the wife that I need the Crush now! Haha
My favourite so far... which is my only combo is a kastking stealth on a shimano Bushy Lure Native which is a 5'10" with a 1/4-5/8 oz cast weight. Absolutely perfect for the Aussie estuary fishing which it mostly does targeting dusky flathead particularly on 3-4inch soft plastics.
My favorite set ups right now are a Kastking Speed Demon 9.3:1 Baitcaster paired with a 7'3" Lews Carbon Fire casting rod Heavy. My other favorite is a Kastking Mega Jaws 7.3:1 Baitcaster and a 7'2" Lews Carbon Fire casting rod Medium Heavy.
Honorable Mention is Lews Mach Crush Baitcaster combo in 7' Medium Heavy Fast with 7.5:1 reel. If the rod hadn't broke it would still be my favorite, but for now it's out of comission

I'm so jealous.. I absolutely love Lew's products. I've got a nice little collection of their casting combos.. Mach 1, Mach Smash, Carbon Fire, Custom black, and the cheapo Xfinity from Walmart. They're all great, but my favorite has to be that Team Lew's Custom black. That Mach 2 reel would feel right at home with me 😉
Favorite is my bass pro shops special lmao it’s cheap and gets the job done I’m not into the fancy stuff I like to keep it simple if it casts and catches fish I could care less tbh I might upgrade soon

My fav setup now is my Sixgill Cypress 7'3" MHF rod coupled with my Abu Garcia Revo Premier LP Baitcaster.
Favorite combo is a med heavy rod, fast tip and a a 7 + geat ratio reel, pretty universal.
Florida might have rain , but in Memphis the first boxes would have been swiped while walking to the truck and back to your table.

I've honestly only used Lews the last 5 years and have my son in law and his dad using them. But I can't afford the higher end stuff. My bait caster is 12 yrs old and was a hand me down. But all my PBS are on it from a 9lb bass to a 45lb cat. I love the quality and the prices

I just picked up a Mach crush combo and I have to say the rod and reel fit into my hand better than anything else I had tried to date. I’m now seriously looking into lews rods moving forward. The Mach crush reel has been great, it’s not standing out per se but definitely holds its own in my reel line up. Would love to try a lews higher end reel sometime to see how they compare.

I have the pro ti medium heavy combo in a 7 foot and 7:3 to 1 gear ratio, a great all purpose rod for texas rigs, lighter jigs and chatterbaits, and small to medium sized swimbaits. Also have the custom pro in a heavy for big stuff, going to order the reel in an 8:3 soon.
