Gamma line is phenomenal, specially the Torque, glad to see you using Edge, I have used it in the past as well, it is made in my home town by a relative! I will admit I use Pline for almost everything but braid where I use Gamma 100%

What size wire do you like to wrap around your hooks to add weights? Also do you change out hooks to longer shanks to be able to add some wire to them more effectively?

Lol .I love having both Daiwa and Shimano reels.Have to say, for the price point though,Slx /Slx mg are hard to beat .Real tough.. Daiwa Fuego in that price range not close imo.

What are your opinions about the Tranx 300 / Tatula 300? I am looking for a Glidebait Reel for up to 8-9 Oz baits. I've *heard* that the Tatula casts smoother than the Tranx. What is your experience as someone who fishes swimbaits very frequently?

Seems like daiwa reels always come grease free if you ever hear it start screaming. That tatula elite is great for bombing casts, I use it for frogging.. expensive frog reel but it's all metal. SV is good for lighter lures. Bantam has that butter and effortless feel with the Infiniti drive, cranks like a tank.

I have had major issues with diawa customer service but not a single issue with Shimano. The reels may be similar but the customer service definitely is not!

I have a Tatula reel but have only used it once.
I really didn't think that one through since I had never used a baitcaster before. I don't know how to set them up so I can cast it out. Tried following the instructions but no matter where I have anything set at when I cast my test bait just slams into the water. 😂🤣😂🤣
