Fly Mavic Mini with DJI Goggles & Other HD Gogglesâïž Works for Any Cellphone Drones Tooâïž MiraScreen

- EZMira app allows connection to HD Goggles from drones that have a video feed to a cellphone. This would include cheap toy drones and consumer grade aerial photography drones that have a cellphone video feed but lack an HDMI port on the drone's remote controller. The Mavic Mini is a good candidate for using the device called MiraScreen along with EZMira to connect to HD Goggles like DJI goggles. Many other brands of HD goggles should work as well if they have an HDMI input.

Always great videos Dave!!
Hello Dave!
Thank you for showing me this video!
We managed to present the drone very well!
Thanks for sharing! Huge like!
You have a great cool channel!
Thanks for the visit!
Dave you're the best, I ordered the parts!
Hi, thanks. What about the goggles being sold with the mini. Are the not going to work? Or will they work but with a huge delay. I've not used any goggles before so wondering if I should get the goggles with the mini or check out with a different kit? Thanks again.
Like 21 dave brilliant review as always well done on this video
Thank you! Your channel looks like it's doing great. Cheers!
Thank you Dave .Excellent video i will try my Mavic mini and My Inspire 1v2.0.
I'm debating on using VR Goggles or the DJI Goggles V1. How clear is the video using the DJI Goggles V1? Thanks
This is not about the goggles but I wanted your opinion on if you think DJI will have the Mavic 2, program a zoom on its camera for photos? If it's even possible with its camera. Thank you for your videos there great.
I love that small gold finger
Would this wifi connection break the drone's OCUSYNC connection to the controller or is that still in tack?
What do you do with All that cables and so on wijle flying?
thank you for sharing a excellent vid on Drones. really enjoyed it thanks Dave... FISH
Glad to share whatever I can on drones and appreciate your comment. You have excellent GoPro reviews and tips, btw!
You are certainly a genius at connecting things together.....and making them work. I for one would like to see you flying it with this arrangement when you get a longer cable. I would like to see how this works. Thank you for your efforts in making the videos.
Maybe one day soon! However you won't be able to see what I see in the goggles. That is a personal experience like receiving the spirit of truth or seeing Big Foot :-) Basically if you can image sitting in front of the big screen at a movie theater in the dark while flying your drone, that would be as close as you could get without actually putting on the goggles yourself. So that is why I did not get too excited about showing video footage of me flying. It would be just the same as my other flight videos except I could include clips of me sitting there with goggles on my face which I could easily fake in the editor. Is Big Foot real? Only to those who saw him or choose to believe without seeing because of what they received from the testimonies of believers.
Thks four your exllent video can i use a Mobil phone Samsung s6 thank you very much and Happy New Year
Very Interesting
You are one smart feller!!!!
Thank you kindly! All the best.
thanks
Awesome ty
I may try the movie mask goggles that you put your phone inside of and it magnifies the whole screen. You can still reach in through a zipper at the bottom to change settings.
have u tried the mm googles yet? i am looking into mini 1 fpv and the mm googles seem to be the only `out of the box` solution atm if you dont want the delay from casting
Clipping your phone into some goggle headset makes a lot more sense Dave, the latency was hilarious....đ€đłđ
Ya, but which headbox / VR phone headset would do the best job? I have no clue.
I already have the DJI goggles and they look great. The delay was exaggerated because of the screen recorder on the phone and camcorder which both added delays that aren't there in reality. It's the old case of the experiment being affected by the measuring equipment.
Clipping the phone in to a Cheap headset đđđ now thatâs hilarious.....I take it you your not fussy about pic quality, there is still an old video kicking around on here showing that methodđ
You need to press the phone screen on the app for it to work.........
Yes
Congrats!
Would Google Chromecast do the same, because it says Miracast/Chromecast?
Hi Dave, Well explained. I don't have the DJI Goggles, have just been given a present of a DJI Mavic Mini from my Sons. This may seem silly, but is it possible to get a longer cable that connects from the Mavic Mini Controller and one of those headsets that you insert your phone into? this would do away with any additional hardware, use very inexpensive goggles and presumably avoid any latency?
Regards, Jonathan
Yes people have done that. Not sure which VR headsets they are using but it works.
Great idea and easy solution for anyone with a Cel Phone controlled WiFi drone .
Thanks! Another thing is you can use a flat screen TV as a viewer for those who don't want to use goggles. The process is the same to establish the connection to TV's and Monitors with HDMI ports. Second: On Smart TV's with WiFIi and Bluetooth you can connect your phone without the MiraScreen Hardware (Just need to Cast the phone directly)!
@@DaveMerc The only reason I find this interesting, Dave is because I CAN use Goggles the Mavic Mini and some other Drones.
Besides my P4P Pro+ 1000 NITs screen I can't see Diddly Squat on my cell phone in the sun.
I see. What goggles will you use?
@@DaveMerc The HDMI input Goggles I presently have are the DJI Googles like yours, a SkyZone Set and an old HK Goggles Two that I modified for my P4P Pro+.
You have a lot of good choices! Side note: I found that the MiraSreen adapter I bought does not have 5G so if your phone has 5G you might want to get this one:

Shear genius! I think I mentioned that a friend of mine was able to just plug in and see ice cream. My biggest concern would be battery everything else would just be gravy! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Brian!
I wish I could hook directly to the controller but the Mavic Mini controller has no HDMI port. Did your friend find away around this or something?
@@DaveMerc He just sent me a note back and said that he basically uses the same solution is yours. Just a different company.
Thanks! I guess there a lot of the WiFi HDMI adapters out there that would work. To avoid some of the delay (not all) the best way is to just stick the phone in a VR head box like you used to do.
Can anyone tell me if the mavic air 2 and these goggles work for me. Thinking about buying the goggles for my mavic
Nice! đđđ
Thanks for the visit
@@DaveMerc You're very much!
Do you know if this works with a google chromecast? I canât figure out how to stream it. My cast doesnât show up on my iPhone
Don't know about that.
what range were you able to get with using the DJI goggles and your Mavic Mini?
The goggles connect to the controller through wifi so the range of the Mavic Mini is not changed.
Hi I want to ask why the hell over goggles shows across the picture what am I not doing? I connect everything as it belongs and the view across shows the drone air s2
Only if I had a dollar for every time a person says âDGIâ
any luck with connecting a Mavic Air 2 to your DJI goggles?
If your asking me I have no idea since I don't own an Air 2. Probably you could do it like I did with the Mini.
Thereâs a delay because your shutter speed is too slow haha you need to open up your exposure not the slow down the shuttter
I just bought Mavic Mini and I know now it does not have AccuSync.
Imscrevi no meu tb
Yea, this is really old news. 3 years ago this guy on this CZcams video ( czcams.com/video/XWolMJePK_U/video.html ) showed the same thing casting from a Chromecast device. So, it really isn't anything new it's just being castd and there's a delay. Also, note that you can not use any head tracking or any other options that you normally could use with ocusync and a drone that is able to connect wirelessly to the goggles ie. mavic pro, Spark, Phantom, etc...
Is there not a way to direct wire to remote ?
No way expect put your phone in some VR Goggles or Headbox goggle case.
Not recommended. There is a 1 second lag.
My opinion is donât waist your money. This isnât a reliable connection . Iâve got the same set up . Poor video quality, poor connection, too much delay. believe me I wish it worked well enough to use .
ha ha you could be right!
