    I remember when Korg announced the “Little Bits” that connect like legos. I got my ex wife one of the first release ones and we linked it to her microkorg and it was amazing! I believe it was $150 for 8 pieces of plastic with knobs and such.
    It could all fit into a coffee mug easily. Yet It has so many different sounds.
    I’d definitely pay $150-170 for this pocket device. Especially because of the tilt option and all.

    1. Nice form factor. Wonder about durability of it & your other controllers. Follow-up vid in x months re: durability & which ones are your go-tos ?
    2. Point taken re: controller size. Even so, putting controllers in soft-sided cases (protect 'em!) & tossing 'em in a bag makes pocketability moot.

    • @BirdkidsOrg
      @BirdkidsOrg Před 2 lety

      It's fairly straightforward tbh, we're seeing an average of 3 business days from leaving our office and delivering to backers and retail customers via FedEx. Distribution is in the pipeline for 2023. One thing to mention, there's just a limited quantity of those we'll be able to manufacture this year due to the number of PCBs we were able to procure since 2020. That's the root of all delays both KS campaign fulfillment and current retail limitations. Sadly, there's no end to this issue at the moment supply-chain-wise.

      @@jonathanaguilar710 you can get Novation Launchpad Mini for $109, which already had more functionality. Otherwise you can still get the Launchpad X for $170 on sale right now, which has even more features than the Mini. ... and six months later Birdkids just announced they are not sending out units to about 2/3rd sof their backers...
    This is what they posted on Kickstarted 5 days ago:
    "Dear Backers and supporters, we want to reassure you that an update is coming. We've withdrawn the last update draft scheduled for early July, monitoring the current shipping and logistics crisis with FedEx. Roughly 60% of packages were significantly delayed between March and August. An exceptionally high amount was also damaged or flat-out lost. Nevertheless, we've been fulfilling continuously throughout the last months.
    We want to manage your expectations, a decision to stop operations as birdkids GmbH has been made by the three shareholders. Of course, we will cover every aspect of what led to that hard decision and what that means for the campaign's goal in depth. We promise you closure.
    We'd also like you to know that more than a third of backers have been rewarded for participating in the campaign already. And we wish that we could reward every backer for the trust put in us, but that won't likely happen.
    Behind every vitriolic comment, there’s a fair amount of objective criticism poorly phrased. You should know that aside from a few accusations of misuse of investment, we bear no resentment toward any backer voicing their opinion however they choose to do so. We know that there is a lot of enthusiasm and real anticipation behind each pledge, and we appreciate it to no end. We believe that all of you, at every point, wanted to see this campaign succeed, and we choose to stay naive in assuming the majority pledged to the campaign's goal, fully understanding the risks of one by trusting us to do good. And we believe we did better than we possibly could within the circumstances.
    We can't wait to share with you the full story; stay tuned, and thank you, as always, for the patience and continued support!"
