I think it could be a mistake if the new characters can't live up but at the sametime ash needed to leave at some point.
He should have been gone a long time ago. But, better late than never, I suppose.
Yeah we can't dragon a Single Main Character forever
Will miss him but hey he had a very long run and I do feel like it was long enough
Ye ash needed to leave eventually because it would get too repetitive and keep resetting ash's development
Yeah I made a dragon pun
I love how Ash gets a broken Dragon pokemon and the First Dragon pokemon ever in his Final Team
In the future I think they will bring ash back to the anime. Anime can take the soft reboot route.
I love Ash but I've to say, it's no mistake. A new character can make things more interesting and frankly, the guy just needs to rest, he journeyed for far too long.
Yup. Ash is honestly the reason I don’t watch the anime. When things like the little shorts I can’t remember the name of, but had the girl in the woods get trapped in a house for of ghost Pokémon, I enjoyed that. And things like Origins. Hell I enjoyed seeing Misty and Brock come back just to see how they’ve grown. Ash never grew. Sure in character, but it wasn’t enough. So now that he is finally leaving, I think the anime will be more interesting to me. And trust me. I wanted to be like Ash when I was a kid.
Yeah and I think his victory in the World Championship was the perfect way to end his journey! Because after that, I feel like Paldeo wouldn't really do anything else. I do see him becoming a pure mentor figure for this new series. If they make this new girl his daughter, I could really see potential writing between them, kind of similar to Funimation's Goku and Gohan dynamic!
Nope since he was 10 the whole time it somehow all happened in just one year
Drawings journeyed too far?
Maybe he can be like a mentor figure to the new trainer, He doesn’t have to entirely leave the story
Changing him is a big risk. But then the longer it goes on the more keeping him is a risk too as they run out of things to do with him.
Ash leaving the anime sucks! I'll miss him. He was a part of my childhood as well. The pokemon anime won't be the same without him. But I guess all good things must come to an end eventually. Can't have the good without the bad and vise versa. Hopefully the new protagonists of the pokemon anime will live up to our expectations and more. We shall see.
Well said!😢
I feel like the actual mistake was keeping Ash for so long, making it progressively more difficult to replace him. That also brought the problem of having to reboot his character every new gen.
Shut up
This person is not real. It's someone who is promoting the new Pokemon properly
Honestly regardless of Liko/Riko’s relation to Ash, be it as his daughter or a completely unrelated character, she has big shoes to fill.
i hope it good but of course people will be pissed and i cant blame them
i think she is ash sister
@Donhimesama Daifutari good but my name is tyler singh and i’m a boy
@Donhimesama Daifutari she is ash sister and my name is tyler singh
Could easily be a fangirl
To be honest I was expecting this final episode of Pokemon Journey Serie to at least have all of Ash's friends to come and celebrate before Ash departed with Goh and set off on his new Journey or even at least see a few of Ash's unevolved and middle evolved Pokemon finally evolved at last because that would make a better episode than this one.
And now with the upcoming final chapter on Ash and Pikachu this year we will never see them again then after that but the same goes for Team Rocket (Jessie, James and Meowth). I really wished that the Japanese have though things through because with other regions villians from past Pokemon Anime Series like Team Magma, Team Aqua, Team Galactic, Team Plasma and Team Flare have disband after being defeated by Ash and his friends I would have though they should do the same for Team Rocket by now.
bro who said this is the last time we see ash and pikachu
@@painvillegaming4119 they said they were going to be retired
It's one of the main reasons why they either have to get that done and other things in these final episodes, or at least turn it into a movie at the very least, because if Ash is really retiring then he deserves a movie for his last hurrah.
Keep dreaming. Bulbasaur's never evolving.
@@MrQuinnzard you can’t prove that
Plot twist: Both characters are James and Jessie's kids (either together or two separate families), they saw Ash on TV at some point in the future, and decided to become Pokemon masters.
HAHAHAHAHAAHAHA XDDDDD
The general director of the anime kunihiko iyama already gave us a canon answer why ash doesn’t age
He says “I viewed the anime as a story that captured the feel of a day of summer vacation in one’s childhood of children venturing on a trip into the unknown exploring a world without parents alongside their friends and others who they engage along the way”
“In the setting of the animation the main character ash is forever ten years old and the background season is forever early summer”
“Sometimes it gets cold in the mountains or it could be hot, those changes happen by traveling”
“Fundamentally it is forever early summer and he is forever ten years old and on top of that a day of summer vacation repeats perpetually”
“This is what I hoped to create”
“ a view of the world that would be ideal for children (addlibbed by me: and young at heart)”
Honestly I’m really happy for Ash, he became a champion and I feel like he can rest after an achievement like that. Hopefully he makes some cameos in the future series
he could at least be 13 or 14 but not as an adult
He still be main the films for the au universe
Being Ash’s daughter puts a lot of pressure on her. Can be overwhelming if she can’t live up and can doubt herself. For initial introduction and season it would explain why she fails at first while trying to learn.
Welp this whole comment is useless now because she's not ash's daughter but it wasn't revealed back when you pasted this comment.
I’m torn because Ash is my boy, but he’s also done everything he could really do.
He didn't catch a Mudkip or Marshtomp
I still haven't forgave the writers for that, and i will not get over that
love ash but yea he definitely proved his point it’s time
My hope going forward is that they do a new protagonist every generation. That way they can plan ahead with a clear end goal in mind for the characters, giving them deeper, more deliberate and satisfying characters arcs that Ash’s longevity didn’t really allow him.
@@Wario1382 Hmm. Heavily depends on how they present the new characters during their time in the spotlight. A good writer can feel the correct path for a character to walk down as they write, so I say "Just do what feels right". If they muck up and fail the characters first try the have a short while to try fixing them before realising they can't continue. If they have the characters work well they have to plan for the eventuality that they too will leave the anime one day. This is something the anime creators struggled with when presenting Ash in any series. After gen 4 they either had to dumb him down or have him keep moving up to the top.
In my personal opinion the Pokèmon Company now has lots of data to work with when it comes to writing protagonists, so I feel these new characters will make a lot of good early impressions.
@Donhimesama Daifutari Nope , I'm disagree even if they become very good that be more popular than Ash , they can at least stay for a decade, I think that it's better they make new protagonists every generation.
Ash is not only our childhood. But also he is our emotion. He gave us a lot of thing, a lot of happy moments that is actually impossible for any other protagonist except for him.Miss you my boy and you will always be remarkable in your hearts.
Ash leaving was something that simply HAD TO BE DONE. We're finally getting something brand new. what the anime was in DESPERATE need of for a LONG TIME now. This will finally give the writers a blank slate to restart from scratch and no longer be tied down by what came before. I hope this new generation will have a good future ahead of itself.
I feel that it's maybe one generation too soon for Ash to be replaced as I reckon the fact that he's the world monarch is a perfect setup for his invitation to Paldea where there are multiple 'champion' level trainers for him to meet and battle etc. And if they wanted to go a different route because he's supposedly the strongest trainer, then they could have him focus of the treasure hunt or some other offering of the Paldea region.
Plus, having new protagonists with generation 10 would have been a nicer number than starting with generation 9.
Ah well, only time will tell how well these new protagonists end up being.
I feel like they should have him as a side character or like the strongest trainer in the new show
Itd be cool to have him be the champion at the end of likos journey. Like, not ahove him in your face, but have a nice cameo every once in a while
@@alexnewby2004 ye
@Donhimesama Daifutari it would probably just be a higher level ash version of red
Or bring in jimmy since he could spice it up with his comedy I would love to see him return but as a supporting trainer to help the younger trainers as he would be older and have more experience than he did in Pokémon chronicles
@@nemesisstars1527 they should bring him back no matter what happens
She'd better not be his daughter. Let people play with Ash's future on their own now that he's leaving.
she could be ash sister
no way i want him to stay in the anime forever i want him to be at least 13 or 14
Hey! What programs do you use on your videos?
Absolutely a HUGE mistake. They didn't close out ANY of his remaining plot lines. Not with his mom, evolving his pokemon, his dad, or team rocket. They're switching protags because they no longer know how to handle ash. They aren't smart enough to have good writing in pokemon.
I think it's about time for Ash to clear the road for a new protagonist.
I'm still hinging on the idea that Liko is Ash's daughter due to the statement that Liko doesn't like to talk about her family because she doesn't want
to get special treatment from the school she attends and the only way I can see her reasons for not liking to talk about her family is if she's the
daughter of the World Champion. Either that or something horrible happened to her parents, but I don't see the Pokémon anime do that to a main protagonist.
I honestly don't wanna see Ash leave, I've been a fan of Ash since I was like 5 and he's my favorite character. But I feel like they can give this a try but it if it doesn't work out, have ash come back in and keep it going.
I’m not sad. I wish he would have leave the anime sooner (like, way sooner, after the Orange archipelago). He was not a good character and should have never stayed for so long. The manga had the right idea by switching up protagonists during each arc, meaning that even if some of them were duds, looking at you Emerald, X and Blato (Blatwo? I’m not even sure how this one is called in english), it was no big deal since they would be gone and replaced soon enough (same for Digimon I guess, since of the three seasons I watched, I always loved the cast).
Well if Ash has finally got the EXP needed to evolve in to an adult it should be interesting to see what he does
Nah, they just have to remove the everstone in his kidney and he will evolve in no time :)))
no way that’s not happening
i want him to stay at least 12 or 14
no way not as an adult as a teenager
Im curious for the new series, but I hope they will bring pokemon rangers back. I really liked that aspect and thought maybe that ash would take some kind of route after becoming world champion. Seeing how interested he was in the rangers and being a protector of pokemon would fit in with pokemon masters. We will see whats happen, until than Im gonna rematch the final battle
This isn’t related to the video but who did your art for your Pokémon trainer throughout your videos?
So my question is "are they going to scrap Ash entirely or will he at least come back in some future episode as support for a while"? He the world champion so to remove him entirely is equivalent to denying Ash ever existed. They might as well be start a whole new show that has nothing to do with Ash's timeline.
At first I didn't think it would ever happen. Haven't there been other anime protags that are still part of these ongoing anime series? But now that it's finally happening, I do feel some type of way. Was looking forward to seeing how they would handle him as a strong character, if they'll let him catch more pokemon then the usual 5/6 this generation, some of his older pokes finally evolving, what kind of 9th gen pokes will he have, etc. Now we'll never see that.
I've been saying for the last couple weeks, will the new anime actually survive without the face (Ash), the mascot (Pikachu), Japan's popular trio (Team Rocket) and other past familiar faces?
Honestly, I've felt it was coming for a while now. Sometime during Journeys I kinda got this feeling in my gut that something was up. I ignored it but it never went away. In hindsight, it was pretty obvious. I'm sad, obviously, but like when Brock left I do think that it needed to happen. The anime has been needing a breath of fresh air for a while now. Ash had been working towards his goal for so long, it was starting to become pointless keeping up with the anime.
Of course, a part of me is worried. Some shows and movies as of late have been turning their main characters into blank slates so that people can see themselves in the character and you know that's... fine but it can make protagonists kinda boring.
Underrated comment
It was made clear to me that something was up when Bif I mean Butch and Kassidy were shown to have fully retired from Team Rocket. Why would they retire two well-liked legacy characters other than to give them a proper send off and set up our Rocket Trio’s arc to finally break free from Rocket’s influence and do something actually productive with their lives.
Love the slight diss at boruto 😂
I would understand if he was the protagonist for 3 or so years. But 25? That's too long to remove the main character from his protagonist role.
Sounds more like overdue to me
@@xionkuriyama5697 well nobody asked now did it changing a anime protagnist get harder and harder the longer the show last look at dbz gohan was a fan favorite right up the point were it was revealed he was gonna replace goku ..and naruto firmly cemented that feeling
@@painvillegaming4119 Spot on.
@@hereskyubi3333 the sense of familiarity is a huge reason people watch Pokemon plus all the lovable and goofy characters we met
If I don't see brock make a cameo in paldea I will riot
No it isnt. Ash and pikachu deserve a proper conclusion. Their story felt so dragged on.
I’ve been more of a Digimon fan all my life. I grew up with the original cast, then I watched them get replaced as the main cast, but I never fell out of love for them. When Last Evolution Kizuna came out, I didn’t watched it immediately but the thought of it was bittersweet for me. I was ecstatic for one final swan song from my favorite characters, but sad because this was the end of the characters I loved. After watching it, I balled my eyes out at the ending, but was happy because that meant the cast I watched when I was like 6 finally became adults and moved on with their lives for better things. It was a satisfying ending, even though 02 and tri were a bit messy and a reboot came out a bit later, I was blown away by the ending and all the emotions I felt because of these characters. If the same thing happens to Ash, (which it does look like they’re going to do for him) I think it can only be a good thing.
(Also it might be a good idea not to think of this new season as a continuation of the anime, but the start of an entirely new series like how Digimon tamers is a new series than DM and 02)
do you forget how much the fanbase shits on the 02 kid
Agreed.
@@painvillegaming4119 you're the fanbase so it's your choice
I wished he would have won the kalos league otherwise this would have been a hattrick of champions. Kalos, alola and galar Ash champion.
Imagine if he did went to Paldea and met nemona.
Ash “....so this is how it feels like talking to me “
The best way for this series to go is to start off the first half of the first "season" (around the first eleven episodes) to build the character of liko. Then, by the mid-season break, they will introduce something that can spark a theory on how ash is related to liko and maybe a mystery on why ash is missing. This can range from like Liko getting a pokeball of one of Ashes old pokemon that could be a part of his old gang or one he caught of screen during the time skip that has something of ash's.
If the Pokeball thing happens it is either Charizard or greeninja
@Donhimesama Daifutari game freak knows well it fanbase......on what planet
Also who said the fan base would be angry to see ash again?
Just because some idiots are like that doesn't mean the entire fanbase agrees
Some people want Bruce Wayne to retire as Batman never gonna happen outside for a temporary reason
So go ahead and bet the 1 million cause you're on
@Donhimesama Daifutari Related is a broad word. Like in the video, one possibility is she is an ash Stan. Another possibility could be that Ash has been missing for years because of a McGuffin event Liko is just drawn to the mystery.
Let’s be honest, because the gen 1 one pandering. I highly doubt if this anime is unsuccessful, or they need a strong person for the characters to team up with ash will make cameos left and right. Hell, maybe even joining if his first season is unsuccessful.
A new Generation is always tough no matter what…. But it’s Pokémon… it will prevail
Hear hear
I would have liked to see a fully fledged 'send-off' season... a victory lap of sorts.
It could have been a great moment to not only tie up loose ends in a fuller manner (ie, evolving old team members, giving them a chance to shine as champion-tier mons), but also... *give Ash a new motivation*. He has been stagnant since XY. He peaked, and ever since, his path to become a master was sidelined (still a thing, but less so - Ash didn't really grow much... he just went through the motions). But as champion... now he could have a fresh new take. He is the best... surely an emptiness comes with that? What next? Remember Johto? Ash beat Gary and when his rival took a new path, Ash felt lost - until a new goal presented itself via Hoenn. So what could Champion Ash aspire towards? Red had catching Mew... perhaps for Ash... finding and besting Ho-oh, bringing it full circle? Okay maybe too much like that movie... but Mewtwo could work, or something else entirely. Pokemon works best with a *journey* (Sun and Moon and Journeys lacked that: the world felt small, and episodes aimless).
Tldr: I wanted Ash going on one final prolonged journey, worthy of a Master. Maybe an arc of self discovery included: what does it mean to be fulfilled? As #1, does Ash aspire for more? Does he find a new passion? Gym Leaders help trainers to grow... what does Ash do next in life? Battle until overthrown? Mentor?
How would she be ash daughter
She is in a new region paldea which ash never have traveled to
So if she is ash daughter that would mean ash traveled to paldea
And a lot of more questions would riled up at that point
As intentionally vague as Ash's goal of 'pokemon master' is, we've all viewed, cheered, and bonded most with Ash through battles. Now that he's the strongest trainer in the anime world, there's nowhere for him to go; and it's impossible for the anime with him and pikachu to have stakes now. Ash and Pikachu are going out on a high note; and that's a good thing.
The new characters have some huge shoes to fill. But it's possible for them to do so as long as the story isn't a carbon copy of the Ash formula.
I am fully in the camp of Liko being Ash's daughter. And I do love the aspect of Liko going to Paldea's academy to compete in the Treasure Hunt. The reason why Liko has the electric tera crystal could be a way to have Pikachu remaining in the series by having Ash give Pikachu to watch over his daughter, being an over-protective father figure.
Ash’s Pokémon journey is some thing that every Pokémon player wishes Game Freak could/would make.
I'm still very sad to see Ash leave yeah i know it can be good a breath of fresh air but all those memories i have can't be explained in to words i will still try to watch the new show and when the final adventure of Ash comes now their will be tears i think😢😭😭
You said what needed to be said about Ash leaving the anime. Pokémon got me into the medium in the late 1990s and Ash was my rock amidst the changing trends in other anime shows that have come and gone. With such a radical change, watching anime won’t quite feel the same. I hope The anime community officially puts Ash into the iconic anime characters pantheon alongside Astro Boy, Hello Kitty, Sailor Moon, Princess Lum, Totoro, etc.
What I am hoping for Liko is that she'll try all sorts of different things. Being a trainer and doing gyms and such will for sure be her main focus. But It would be nice for her to try out the other routes at times, not every maining the other options but at least giving them shots.
It would be nice for her to be a character to be undecided on what she wants to do exactly wants to do, so she tries out all different things. General pokemon training will be her main focus and she wants to do well in the league system, but she is open to other pathways.
Since you mentioned Boruto I might as well mention Boruto's sister Himawari who is a character in the same boat. She isn't entirely sure if she wants to be a shinobi just yet, and she is open to other career pathways.
@@donhimesamadaifutari Naruto didn’t need to end, the boruto anime just sucks
@Donhimesama Daifutari gamefreak doesn't control the anime and they only make games, tv tokyo/olm is the one who controls the anime.
Ash leaving the anime is like passing the torch to a new generation. Ash was my hero. But Liko has a lot to live up to especially since she's going to be the Ash to my nephew and niece (when they finally start watching the anime) as he was to me.
Not gonna lie as a 26 year old who’s been on this journey since the first time pikachu shocked ash to becoming champion to the celebration and if I have any opinion he may have become a Pokémon champion there’s still higher heights after that being a Pokémon trainer forever would stop future progress the idea of a new protagonist is like lure to unexpected plots if written write who knows ash might be like Cynthia a Pokémon classic for years to come you just can’t help but respect but greater because ashes wasn’t great he was the best and for many reasons
If you've never heard the story of how Ahsoka became one of the most beloved Star Wars characters, you should look it up. They intentionally made her in such a way that fans would dislike her with the plan from the start that they would unravel and remake her while the fans watched. And it was an extraordinary example of how to introduce a new character into an established franchise. It would be kind of cool if they did something similar with this new character. Introduce her as everything the fans fear, then put her through trials that undo those traits and make her into a truly strong character.
I think it’s a good idea to pass the touch to a new protagonist. Ash literally became a Pokémon master so to have in as a protagonist would be weird as he does have much goals after that. If he were the protagonist the Pokémon company would mostly likely would have to do another soft reboot or hard reboot which I know would disappoint a lot of fans. So I thinks it’s great for a new protagonists to be the new mascot of the anime.
soo today on netflix i watched the very first episode........im even more convinced by the coma theory im sure hes gonna wake up in the last episode with everything being a dream, the fact he never aged, the sight of ho oh a pokemon that has bought life back before, the fact hes "died" so many times.

Ok y'all let's be real for a minute here. Y'all always said that Ash sucked because he kept losing pokemon leagues. But now because he's gone y'all pretend like he's the best trainer in the whole pokemon universe. I don't care that Ash is the world champion or whatever. This mf barely knows anything about type effectiveness. And plus his memory gets wiped everytime a new cycle comes. out. AND he can barely fully evolve a pokemon, how terrible of a trainer do you have to be to not be able to fully evolve pokemon that evolve BY LEVEL UP.Ash was never good. Y'all just tricked your brain into thinking he was because he's gone now.

I would say it depends. If they decide to write up this new character several years into the future, with Ash being mentioned as the current reigning champion or something, it could probably work.
I know Team Rocket will also leave the anime but I see them in a episode either being a minor villain or a cameo I can see them finding new Pokemon or even Miraidon and/or Koraidon like they did in the shorts.
Though ash is not the protagonist in gen 9, I wish he still traveling especially new region. Wether he aged or not. Love the video and keep up the great work
It maybe a mistake, because they had ample chances to change protagonist throughout the Pokemon anime, they even try by showing the character known as Jimmy who was based on Gold the character from Pokemon Gold and Silver, not to mention other characters in one of them even battle Ash in the silver conference, and they all came from the special Legend of thunder I believe, I wouldn't be surprised if they brought that out as a test to see if they should change protagonist before Johto began, but I think it was shot down, for them to now do it after everything they put Ash through, by either dumbing him down or weakening Pikachu, and now they're going to finally change protagonist after all these years? It's why I say it maybe a mistake because can they create a character that was just as great or greater than Ash? That's the question, because at the end of the day it all came down to confidence, it's spinoff such as Pokemon mystery dungeons, Origin, and rescue rangers never had an abundance of episodes, because that's what it comes down to is their confidence in doing this, because they're having certain stories that blew because they change protagonist, and that's what worries me, not to mention that the story of scarlet and violet revolves around time-traveling you know that's hard to do in a story.
They can, Hisuain Snow only had 3 episodes and Alec was a good protagonist. Origins was all about Red from the games and he was a good protagonist. But yes I agree that they have to write the characters well
They could do what Aikatsu the anime series did with Ichigo and Akari, that best route or a Hime and Yume from aikatsu stars route
In my opinion, it is long over due. If anything, he should have been replaced when Ruby & Sapphire rolled around for Brendan and May, then each couple of playable characters taking up the torch when a new generation comes out. Johto would have felt a little odd because of its sequel to Kohto status. That would give them 3 or 4 years to build up a character and have an arc over that time, compared to Ash never really being able to grow much. Then you could also do those episodes where the previous protag and their traveling buddies come back for a crossover, like say Super Sentai always does with its yearly change ups.
I watched some of Boruto and I actually liked the character Boruto more than I liked Naruto for a long time. However, the problem is that he did the exact same things that his dad did, copy and paste, and far less interestingly. It is going to be important to NOT just like the new protag be just a clone of Ash.
There is probably GOING to be a backlash though. Merely because the term "female protagonist" brings out lots of irrational hatred.
It's be great if they modified the Gold/Silver Red encounter as the big lead up to end this new series. Ash wouldn't be the dad, he'd be the ominous, ultra powerful trainer that the new protagonist must face at the end of the series.
after all the years growing up with watching Ash his journey i think a new start will be great but the same time i have a bad feeling about it I did love naruto as well but with boruto being the new generation i stop likeing the anime i hope this wont happenen with pokemon it will be heart breaking if it wont work out but i got hope for it
Ash leaving is a big change but open up so much possibles and fresh new potential.
I watched Thunderblot when I was in second grade and now I am in middle school and to this day I am still absent with pokemon and I could watch the new sieries but I could also make my own pokemon anima ideas.
It's not a mistake, what would be a mistake would be to bring him back if these new characters don't take off. The only people who are saying for him to stay are the ones who don't actually watch the series. Also, side note, making Liko connected to Ash would be a mistake, she needs to be her own character and form her own identity without having to relia on her being connected to Ash to be well known.
👍🏻 Superb!!
I think a good idea would be to make it so that liko (who appears to be somehow related to ash, seeing as the pin in her hair is the same symbol on his og hat) would lose to him in the championship, and then to make her feel better ash would decide to take her on the ultimate journey, and finally catch 'em all.
also it would be dope if the crystal in her necklace is actually the thunder stone from one of the og episodes where pikachu doesn't want to evolve, and it's just been sort of gathering up so much energy over the years it turned into a terra crystal.
Honestly I'm excited for this. For the whole Ash being the father stuff... I would love it cause...
1. Ash can return temporarily from time to time and we get to see a new side to Ash.
2. This could provide an interesting story idea where she could be fighting against her nature as a battle and by extension her dad 'I don't see Ash being a good dad' and that would be a new direction for an MC.
3. Serena could be the mom and my ship would be true.
Will think about it red always comes back in certain pokemon games so that means ash can do the same cause seeing red in sun and moon brought my whole nostalgia vibes to me and pokemon always has brought back older characters like misty and Brock the originals so it can be a possibility
It's a good thing that they're retiring Ash. There's only so many stories you can tell with him before it either gets stale or starts damaging his character and honestly? This should have happened earlier.
Anyone remember the episode where ash caught a Primeape and he mention his hat being a official pokemon League hat and he got it from a contest what if she got a official pokemon League pin from a contest just saying or the the designers wanted to reference something from the original series who knows maybe it's just a coincidence
What if Ash does cameo all grown up in the new series and he actually came back for the Primeape he forgot about and evolved into an Annihilape. Both give Primeape some loooonnng overdue justice and gives Adult Ash a Gen 9 Rep on his Champion Team.
no way i want him to be at least 13 or 14
But what about Team Rocket? What would happen to them now that Liko is Ash's replacement?
If this new series with new mc flops than yes but I still expect him to make cameos
i love your mystic read videos
Well it is a mistake but I believe otherwise the writers are just giving Ash a break from the anime because in theory there could be a bigger battle that beyond the evil syndicates of ones we don't know of since Ash didn't disband Team Rocket like his game counterpart Red.
Second part of theory suggest most villains Ash fought with his friends will comeback for another round too so my guess the reason Pokemon Horizons will likely end for those current storyline so we still don't know where it goes from there.
They should write in Gary to kinda have a battle like in red and blue for the end.
Honestly im pretty hyped for the new pokemon anime, stopped watching the anime after the Gen 4 arc mainly bc the anime kinda got stale but im 100% gonna check out the new anime also gotta say ilove Leeko's design! im personally in the camp that she is ash and sareenas daughter :)
I'll be honest, I haven't really sat and watched the Pokemon anime in a long time. I think the last one I remember watching at length was the Sinnoh region. Now, I have seen almost all of the movies but that doesn't really count. A couple years ago, I tried watching the X and Y seasons and avoided the Black and White seasons aside from the first episode [Iris annoyed me from the very beginning 😑] but other than that, I haven't really watched it. So I was kind shocked when I heard the news that Ash was no longer going to be the one we followed. Granted, there are series that do no feature Ash but they are much shorter. I will be interested to see where they go from here if Ash is no longer going to be the protagonist.
The mistake was how long it took.
There was apparently some leaked 4chan description that said Riko didn’t want anyone to know her last name because she wanted to make a name for herself
Idk if it’s real or not but anything is possible
I’m mixed on Ash leaving while I’m glad he his reaching his goal of Pokemon master but I’m not sure how I feel about a series without him but I don’t think him leaving is a mistake and I’m sure he will return as a guest Character in the new series but I hope they don’t nerf him like other shows do to their old protagonists when they appear in anew series and I think Leko could be a good protagonist wether she is Ash’s Daughter or not as Ash will influence her in some way and will probably help her in her own Journey and I won what this will mean for the movies will they still Follow Movie 20 Ash or will they also follow new Characters instead.
no why i want him to stay in the anime forever
Its actually about goddamn time. Had he not been 10 years old for the last 20 years it'd be a different story. Hell even a continuation. They already messed up by keeping ash as long as they did
he could be at least 13 or 14
It may also be a design aspect too.
Ash has the iconic trainer look, and while in journeys it's toned down to his SM look, to be more casual. His design really struck gold and his hat became an iconic part.
Also, I think you're missing the most important part as well. Pikachu. Pikachu's novelty isn't just being ash's partner but a multi-generation unique starter for ash that hasn't changed and adapted personality. It's not just Ash, it's Ash and Pikachu.
If Liko does get a partner starter, most likely it's Sprigatito, then they may not lost long nor keep their iconic novelty, because gen 9's presumably gonna end in the next 2 years, we're waiting on DLC content, and when we get to gen 10, are we gonna abandon that partnership for advertising more pokemon or not?
it's important to note that Advertisement is a MASSIVE part of pokemon and unless ya got the main mascot who works in any themed setting, that might make it tough too.
We still didn't see Ash defeat team rocket once and for all. I personally think that there is still a lot you can do with ash.
I believe its no mistake. Imagine if Ash went to Paldea and lost a battle. People would be calling him a fraud, and having all of these high expectations for him. I believe that this will be a fresh new start and hopefully Lika, Rika, Riko, whatever her name is, can provide us all of the funny and epic moments that Ash and friends did.
Alola handled op ash pretty well by literally having him only lose when Pikachu wasn't fighting
And Pikachu first loss came when he battled a legendary
@@painvillegaming4119 but you know this fambase. After a big win like that, man the anipoke fandom would be up in smoke
@@Raethecommoner am not against changing the protagonist being against trying to erase everything which some seem to desire
Ash needs to take some rest
Those who have watched the latest new episodes will really notice if you are ready for Ash leaving or not.
I think its like 12 episodes after 136 of journeys. They are a way of saying goodbye.
Holy crap how hard the intro hit me, cause it was a collab of all the previous pokemon series, all his pokemon. You have no idea how it feels until you watch these episodes. You ain't ready for letting Ash go, I promise lol.
Man, I'm still just waiting on the day where the Pokemon Adventures manga gets adapted into an anime version.
I'ma watch this tomorrow (1:42 am, so actually later today but still) but even if it's a mistake, it was inevitable and we should be glad we got 8 generations with him. Ash, Pikachu, Pignite, Bulbasaur, Dracovish, Pidgeot, and Mewtwo from that one movie.
Fun fact: there are two Mewtwos in the Anime. Movie 1 (No shit) and I think it was Movie 17 (Genesct vs Mega Mewtwo Y movie.)
If I got that right and it's movie 17, I'm hella proud. I'ma check after posting this
Results: movie 17 is Diancie and Xerneas vs Yveltal, and Movie 16 was Mega 2 Y VS Genesct. So close!
Not about how many times it’s done it’s about how it stands out in a unique way and Pokémon always approaches everything in a unique way
Pokémon is a one of a kind unique show they’ll probably do their own thing whether ash is the dad or not
There was a fake description where someone said that Liko/Riko isn’t gonna tell anyone her last name because she wants to make a name for herself
That could be an approach
Or she’s just a fangirl
Either way they’ll do their own thing with it if she’s his kid
Im a longtime fan and as heart broken as I am and will be while watching the show
I’m still gonna watch and give these new kids a shot because that’s what Pokémon is about being open to new experiences
Pokémon is such a one of a kind unique franchise and ash and pikachu have such an one of a kind unique journey
There’s no characters like them in any anime or even within pokemon itself
They are so special I’m gonna be showing the anime to my kids
One thing that worries me... if you retire Ash from Pokemon, you kinda also have to retire his partner Pikachu... how would that work?!
They just do it? It's not like people only watch Pokemon to see the yellow mouse. Yugioh managed to be fine after retiring some of its iconic characters and monsters, so why can't pokemon?
@@drunkenpumpkins7401 because yugi did hang around for over 25 fucking years ...also let bit act as if the show didnt take a massive blow when yugih left hell all advertisement now a days for any game is all around yugi
jaiden didnt get a movie yugi did
@@painvillegaming4119 Rofl, so did Pokemon. In fact Yugioh and Pokemon both lost popularity after 2004.
And you think children care about some protagonist sticking around for 25 years? Pokemon is a children cartoon, and 90% of the watchers are children age 8-12.
Children will gobble the new show up if its decent. And the salty adults leaving won't make a impact.
@@drunkenpumpkins7401 shit weirdly I doubt there on the same level I don't think we're even allowed to call the biggest franchise in entertainment to have ever fallen off
Second, anything advertises about Yugioh no matter if it is a new movie or video game the one who there put in the middle is Yugi the only other show people seem to like is 5D
And it is not even just them when it came to Digimon this haul decade was an advertisement of the original characters
Also, where do you get those statistics what your source dude
Nahh Ash leaving the anime is not a big mistake the thing is he's in the anime for 25 years and Beyblade left their characters too like gingka and tyson from Beyblade or bakugan etc etc it's good for a fresh new journey a fresh story and new amazing characters which will be good though I really want to see Ash as an adult with Serena though and also I will miss Ash😭😭😢😢
well i don’t i want him to be at least 12 or 14
do you guys Rember beyblade to og one metal when the main character left the show died and the s2 was canceled
Ash should be there is some way dont have to be the main character but at least here and there
people need to remember ashes actor have been doing this for 25 almost 26 years (will be litterly a week less than 26 years who knows when they started actually recording lines). people have lives ya know. asking someone whos done this for almost half there lives to continue is a bit to much (shes 54 if your wondering).
I don't mind the anime taking the "Boruto route" if that's what is ultimately decided. Just don't screw it up. Make the new protagonist the main focus of the show and have Ash pop in on rare to help when it seems appropriate, but not overstay and overshadow her.
If they choose to make Ash a champion figure like Leon, then that would be cool too. It would also make a lot of sense since Leon had a major impact on Ash's journey and Ash following a similar path to Leon's would pay homage to the previous series.
Changing the protagonist for pokemon anime is the best decision that the anime writers had done since Ash won Alola Pokemon League. I also hope that Liko is not related to Ash since it would created more problems with the writing and character development.
Ps. I hope that Roy will be Likos rival.
Just watched the first 2 episodes and the new anime is really good with the movie quality artstyle.
rika enrolling into the paldea school could be a thing because it looks like she’s in a class room when she’s with sprigatitio
