I finally gathered up the courage to break these out along with my rusty improvisational skills....and here we have Auntie Rainbow. She's going to help you get into college -- so make sure you humor her!
This roleplay reminds me of some of my favorite videos -- really random, mostly unexplained roleplays that are quirky and just...fun! I hope you like my take on it, ha!

And she promises you that she'll take you with her to Madagascar when you finish school but that never happens because then she finally gets kids of her own and you get cousins when you're 20, but you still go to her when you have a crisis because she understands and your mom doesn't.

Buckle up buttercups because I have a headcannon! (I'm sorry it is long but I promise it is an interesting read)
I think everyone could be right, Auntie Rainbow is Daisy's mom. This would also make her Gibi's mom too because they are sisters although I do not think they are twins, more likely just close in age. So, what if Gibi is the older sibling that Auntie raised while she was just getting into her College Board days? Gibi grew up idolizing this version of her mother: the woman that could do anything, and was strong and independent. Rainbow was not one for marriage so both girls were raised with the mindset that they could be strong independent women.
Rainbow's brothers took the roles of father figures to the two girls, naturally. The uncles took time to study with Gibi teaching her anatomy and biology, while they would tell stories and sing with Daisy. Daisy was always able to get treats from her Uncles by batting her lashes and as a result, and as the byproduct of being the baby, she was spoiled a little bit more than Gibi was. Gibi was determined to be successful like her mom, and because of that dream, everyone around her expected that of her too. This was why Gibi was jealous of Daisy's care free attitude at times. Daisy wasn't forced to go to college like her, or keep a steady job. She was free to do what she wanted, and that irked Gibi to some extent.
Unlike her sister, Daisy idolized her mother's free spirit and her knack for being adventurous, which is why her dream was to travel like her mother did. She started trying to dress like her, use similar makeup, and even colored her hair to try and somewhat match her mother's style. She ended up getting her mother's scatterbrain as well, which is why she cannot hold a job, even if she is smart as a whip and very intuitive.
Daisy never really outgrew her tendencies to bat her eyelashes to get what she wanted, which is why she appears so flirty all the time. She knows how to use her charm to get what she wants, and in this case, she is looking for attention, and approval. Even if she idolized her mother, that does not mean that her mother was ever really proud of her. Rainbow would give her back handed compliments, or say some sort of remark, and that would hurt. So Daisy tries to get people to like her so she can have the approval she always craved.
This is why Daisy somewhat resents Gibi as well, because Gibi was always getting praised by their mother for being successful. Their mother would always end up making some comment that would compare the differences between Daisy and Gibi, which made her feel inferior. That was why she took up that cranial nerve exam job in the first place. Maybe, for once, she could try to be like her sister and be successful too.
At the end of the day though, these two sisters love each other, quirks and all.
