Got the se in guardian grey today . One thing I realize is the light bar in the rear across the hatch doesn’t light up like the higher trim models. It’s documented on the internet there are differences in the lighting between the base and higher trims

Only thing I can't find about the SE that I'm waiting for is whether or not it has proximity sensors for parking. All I find information for online is that there is parking assist on the top trim, but nothing says if it will beep when approaching other cars in parking, blind spot etc. Which is nice that this video told me it has blind spot warning lights at least. Parking sensors are mentioned but is that just for beeping when parking? I assume so? Wild that they make it so hard to find info on the base model vs others. Maybe it's because a lot of the upper trims options really are just nice to haves now. Coming from a 2003 Matrix, knowing my SE will be showing up within 6 months (finally, maybe), even the base model is like.... a massive change for me and my wife lol
@@ZeromuS_ here in Canada it does, but I can’t guarantee that’s the same for every region as apparently we have some extra features, but I think the safety features are pretty consistent.

I have been looking for a while to find the prime se model video that show exterior and interior. I wish they painted the matte parts midnight black like the xse model. The interior looks better then expected with the red stichting. I should get my supersonic red early july!! Thank you!! :)

Hi Elizabeth, thanks for doing the video for the SE base in Canada. I had placed an order for the 2023 model in Vancouver last June. After the prices came out I told them the XSE midgrade, but in thinking about getting a Prius, I want the best mileage, and don't care for most of the features the XSE has. On Toyota's website, it said the parking sensors with braking wasn't included for the base, and no rain sensing wipers. Was this added extra to your model? Also, if it has the camera on the driver, does the traffic jam assist work? Or do you have to pay a subscription? On the winter tire side, does Toyota carry them as these tire sizes aren't carried by Costco? Toyota's site also doesn't show the integrated dash cam as an addon accessory as it does for the XSE midgrade. Can one be added? Another question ... Can you unlock the driver and passenger side from the fob, and release the trunk latch? Sorry for all the questions...

So what is the overall range when the tank is full and the battery fully charged? I see 644 miles of range on the Prius regular. The prime surely does better than that. Why does no one ever mention what is most important t to a professional driver?
Because there are way too many factors! Such as… will you charge the car every day to its’ full capacity? How many km are you driving a day? These are very important questions clearly, because if you only drive 40km a day and charge everyday… you will never really use gas - besides the fact your vehicle will automatically use one tank of gas if you don’t use any (about a year). I’ve had different clients fill up their Prius Primes 2-6 times a year!! Really depends on your driving habits my friend.

@@LisaMischelle Well depending on how "Orwellian" you want to go, on face value to make sure you are paying attention to the road with your hands on the wheel, you know defeating the purpose of having expensive technology drive the vehicle for you so you can turn off from paying attention. On the other side eventually police will be able to get the footage of you and make it easier for them to automatically charge you if you exhibit any type of behaviour they deem to be illegal, like if you use your phone while driving, because most people still do this today despite being illegal, or give someone a hand gesture in a road rage incident or who knows what else. It is just the constant march towards loss of personal freedoms and space all under the marketable guise of "safety" when we could just say have appropriate driving standards and enforce them like they did years ago. I got a add for the basic one for 250 per month on facebook. I filled out the form and the girl called and she said well the ad is a lie its allot more per month and were out of cars. This is after the 4 grand down lol. I think its probably better to lease becuas battery replacement is 20 to 30k. This was my local dealership
I have a deposit in for a Prius prime since May 2022 here in BC and I’m still waiting. I honestly feel that at this moment the dealership is just skipping on the list because I don’t have a vehicle for trade in. They’ve also told me that they prioritize people with trade ins so the waiting list is useless 🤷🏻♂️
Finally, an SE model review! Great job! I will cut the luxuries for every bit of range I can get.

What is the forward visibility like especially if one is approaching a wall or raised surface? Do the parking sensors give a warning chime or alert?
Yes there’s parking sensors in the front and rear that are very handy and have a unique calmer-sounding chime than the typical parking beep!

When I finally decided to get one it was about 50 days but I had to go several hundred miles from home to take delivery.
