    You could always drill another set of holes for the bolts to accommodate your garage door height.

    Bak now makes a t slot rail that works with elevate for a flush single rail mount system.

    Just finished installing one of these, glad they decided to add a middle height, so now 18/23/28 inches in height. For my Silverado, 23" is the perfect height, just clears the top of the cab and I can fold my Bakflip all the way to the back window. Only issue I had, was I used the thin seal on my Bakflip, which made re-installing it a little too tight, had to remove the seal(didn't have it in the first place).
    Also, another thing to note, since you're setting your Tonneau cover on top of the TS rails, like in my case, the tailgate seal on the Bakflip is not flush anymore, leaves about a 3/16" gap.. :( need find a way to seal that part..

      Nice! I didn't know they added another height option. I do have that small gap at the tailgate as you say but I don't get much water in there thankfully. Thanks for the comment!!

    Nice video. You could have added XT rails to your Roll N Lock. I went with the Roll N Lock M series with the XT rails and will be adding cross bars and a cargo carrier in the near future. Considered a tri-fold but found out how extremely hot they were to the touch in the Tucson sun. Everyone has different uses for their truck beds but what's nice is the truck bed cover industry does offer many choices to the consumer.

    HI great video. Did you find a kayak holder that works with the rack?

      Not yet, still using the foam ones shown in the video. Thanks for the comment!!

    You used the wrong bolts that is why you needed to pile on washers. Also why not drill two extra holes on each pillars for the correct height to clear the cab and still low enough for garage fit? Seems like an easy task…

      The smaller bolts won't work with the cleats that's why I had to use the larger ones. I switch between the cleats and the rack on the same set of bolts. Good suggestion to lower the rack! Thanks!

    With the rack dropped down, can you still open the G2? I figured you could also drill new holes if you want a custom height.

      Yes just a little for the last panel. The racks can slide forward which would allow more access too.

      It's for the dog and made by Perfect Paws, and works great, fits the truck perfectly. Thanks for the comment!

    I have the same setup as you. When you clamp both the backflip rail and Elevate rails, does the rails sit flush? Once i clamp it down the elevate rail is lifted slightly. Not sure if i am not clamping it correctly but Doesn't look very secure.

    • @upnorthguy
      @upnorthguy  Před 9 měsíci +1

      It does sit flush on mine. Might have to pound it down a bit . Also make sure the backflip rubber rail shims are removed . I replaced them with a thin strip of rubber along each rail.

    I cant place my Bakflip between the rails. Its to tight. I have no idea how u did that.

      @upnorthguy  Před dnem +1

      Did you take off the rubber strips that come with the backflip rails? I did that and replaced them with the thin strip.

      @@upnorthguy yes I did. I need 3 or 4mm more space.
