Best gybing video I have seen. I watched it long time ago and today I watched it again. The part where you explained how to flip the sail when backwinded makes sense (I have that problem with big sails and light wind). I will try it next time out. thanks!
Happy to help 🤙
Nice one 🤙🤙
Thanks🤙🏾
Really great video: Very detailed and with tricks for light wind jibing. You solved my issue with the sail-into-face issue in light wind. Just fantastic video, very well made and with good teaching skills
Thanks🤙
I really appreciate this video! The apparent wind part.. I struggled with it and could not understand why I am hitting an air-wall and what to do. now I will try next time out! Thanks Luka
Thanks, glad to help 🤙
Hi Luka, very helpful video and nice to watch! Your description of the apparent wind becoming too strong and the rotation technique is essential to help my gybing in light wind conditions (even though I am not foiling, haha!). Thanks!
It can also happen on slalom when is light !
@@LukaMratovicCRO751 Yes, it does, doesn't it, haha! That's what happens to me a lot, and stalling is the death of a good race...
@@LukaMratovicCRO751 Tried it out today. Marginal winds 10-15kn - it worked! Very good tip!
@@WindsurfingNelson happy to help
Lep i koristan video. Hvala Luka!
🤙
very helpful thanks....so many opinions about sail flip first or step jibe. Probably best approach is to do what you normally do, but more gentle and staying more centerline. I'm a step jibe guy, and trying to get the sail flip first while switch stance (based on other videos) has been screwing me up bigtime. Cant wait to try this tomorrow. Thank you!
Glad to help 🤙
Perfect. Thanks for your help!!
Great manual for beginners
Very good !
Thanks😁
Excellent description of foiling gybe. Love the indoor training rig!! Best explanation of how to flip back winded sail in light winds. I’ll have to try it now!! Thanks.
Thanks
Very good!!!
Thanks
The last part of the video ("whoat to do if the apparent wind coming in from the front is too strong") sees like an instruction for the Helicopter tack. Amazing that the two moves are similar in some situations. Or at least, skills from mastering the helitack can be helpful in slightly messed-up foil gybes.
it's so much easier to understand when u give the helitack analogy
Yes it is something similar like helytack. I didn't think that way🤙
Parabéns pelo video, muito didático, vou tentar por em pratica nos próximos velejos.
Obrigado,
Estou feliz por ter a judado
Luka, can you do a video on how to do slalom reaching fast and stable?
Such as put the board on the rail, overpowered control and so on
I will. Stay tuned
Good Video Luka 👍 . Could you do the same for the duck jibe ?
Hvala from France 🤣
Foil duck jibe coming soon
Smooth as silk! Nice vid. I'm just starting to foil (starboard fórmula 160 adapted box and NP alu foil). Getting some trouble with sustained flights. It's as if I have to put lots of pressure on back foot
Move footstraps and mastbase back and start with that. If that can't help we can try other things.
@@LukaMratovicCRO751 I'll already have the straps as far back as possible. Will move the mastbase and try ... Or maybe trim the back wing of the foil to increase lift?
You can also try that!
@@LukaMratovicCRO751 well after moving foot back and wing trim , realized i need a longer fuselage. I'm using the NP Alu RS Foil (not glide) with a starboard forumla 162. A friend from argentina told me to get a 115 CM fuselage. What do you think?
@@manlioferrari8030 Hi. That is good idea longer fusalage will give you more stability and more power.
Very nice
Thanks🤙🏾
I'm surprised the feet change over before the sail is flipped. I've seen the opposite order taught elsewhere, e.g. Wyatt Miller's video. Is this a big sail vs. small sail (or duck jibe) difference?
I think this is the only way on wider bard
Hi Luka, Great video. Will try it nex time. How do you secure the pole for the gopro on the back of the board? Thx
Hi Sergi, glad that you like the video.
Pole is part of the boom and one screw goes thru the pole to board and then to the foil.(front screw).
Hope you understand what i explained 😁
Luka Mratovic CRO751 I see , I understand ; I will try to make one too . Thanks 👍
