Appreciate this teardown video! Would love to see more repair vids for specific projects. Talaria owners are rounding years now, we are having issues and want upgrades. I would like to see fork install, spring replacement, fitting wider rear tire, brake installs, chain guard install, throttle, electronics (cell phone charger), and product reviews.

Thanks for the video. I gotta remove my swingarm today just to get in their to replace one missing bolt from the gearbox bracket to the motor. You happen to know what they are so I can go buy one ahead of time? Also will red loctite do the trick? Some people drill and then re thread but thats a little beyond my current abilities.
I think they are 2mm, but yes, red loctite will work ,👍
Do you have to disassemble the gearbox from the motor to take it off the frame? My frame is damaged so I’m going to replace it but the less disassembly the better for me.

I have a different mounting bracket for my gearbox on the back where it mounts to the motor, yours is 2 and mine is 4 and the 2 extra bolts are almost impossible to remove

Question! How do I detach the front stem from the frame
For the fork neck, first remove the bar stem & the handle bars. Then, remove the upper for clamps. After that the fork next should slide down & out of the neck of the frame.
Can you make a video how you put the bike back together?
Same steps. But in reverse
How do you get the front sprocket out? Do you have to strip everything down or can it pop off?
Just the swing arm needs to come off. Then you should be able to get to it
Thanks for putting this out there. I cracked the gearbox right case half cover and now I'm faced with buying full assembly or just the right cover for $55 . Have you or anyone here pulled the bearings on the inside and reassembled it that away? Any help is appreciated.
I haven't reassemble the gearbox like that. Did your gearbox break because of the support bracket coming off? This is what happened to mine.

@@electricisbetter Ultimate bonehead move after working all night and almost no sleep.... wrong way on the oil drain plug. I was trying to avoid admitting what I did. I have a crack now in the case where the bolt goes in, and it will not thread of course. 😵💫

Put too much torque on the drain bolt and cracked the drain on the R gearbox cover. Is it possible to replace the R gearbox cover without removing the entire gearbox?
The whole gear box is cracked or just the plug?
The plug hole that takes the bolt cracked - two places. It is hard to get the plug out giving the false impression that the same force is needed to tighten again. I bought a whole new gearbox because I couldn't fine the cover alone. Of course, as soon as the gearbox arrived, covers became available again. I bought a cover too. Now I just need to get one of them on. @@electricisbetter

Hey man, I need to replace my talaria motor and I’m having trouble getting to the bottom bolt connecting the gearbox to the motor ( 4:49 )
Any tips?
Those are a little tricky to get in and out of the motor. I found the best way is to use a "L Allen wrench" type. It's smaller than what I'm using in this video. The long end of the L has a ball type on it so it's easier to screw the bolts at an angle. Check these out. Hope that helps!

@@electricisbetter thanks man. I ended up removing the motor bolts and the entire motor+gearbox assembly could be removed from the frame, and that gave me a better angle to remove the bottom screw.

Fuck my bolts are like welded in or something I keep stripping them with hand tools where the bike connects to the swing arm… I’m dying over here. Any tips?
Mine were never that tight. I'd get some wd40 up in there somehow! Or some never cease
@@electricisbetter thanks I’ve been trying that I even hit them with a blow torch and they just won’t move… going to let them soak over night see if that helps… I also ordered a 8mm hex bit for my drill to see if using more power will get them out. I think I might have to drill out one of the bolt. Everything started so well and then nothing.

@@electricisbetteryeah I don’t know what to do I can’t even get the back axle off it’s seized up too, I’ve hit it with a hammer, blowtorch, penetrating oil nothing seems to work… next step is angle grinder and buy a new swing arm lol
Update!
Used a long pipe for leverage essentially creating a torque wrench… I was losing my mind glad it worked

When you put text on the video, you need to make contour for letters, or change background color... 70% of this text is not readable, white on white....
It was perfectly legible for me.
