This song is very special to me bc it came out at a time where I was going thru a very difficult breakup of a relationship that broke me, only a year after having divorced my ex-husband. Two difficult break ups w/in a short period of time. But after the second one I realized that I had rushed into the relationship bc I was terrified of being alone for the first time in my adulthood. I was so scared but I faced it head on, had a lot downs but also a lot of ups & this song became my anthem & really pushed me to go out & enjoy getting to know myself & try new things & be in a loving relationship with myself 💕
She had to do the same thing like everyone else but she got a lot of hatred for doing what she was trying to cope with at a young age. Amen to her for picking herself up by her boot straps and having some experience to write this. What a woman's anthem.
