Would you implement the landmine squat to press instead of the barbell back squat? For example as you get closer to a fight night to promote strength speed instead of straight strength?
Yes, if you buy one of their programs, they often program the landmine squat to press during the strength speed phase of training and use the back squat for max strength phases.

normal barbell squats are the best for overall functionality. Landmine provides you too much stability which you will not have while boxing.
