Easy Lasagne Recipe With White Sauce | Desi Style | Halal Lasagne Recipe

  • Easy Lasagne Recipe:
    In this video I show you how to make an easy spicy lasagne with white sauce, this desi style recipe is the perfect fusion between Pakistan and Italy.
    Ingredients:
    2 Tbsp Olive Oil
    4 Medium Onions
    1 Tbsp Garlic
    1 Tbsp Ginger
    Salt to Taste (Recipe used 2 Tsp)
    1 Tbsp Basaar Mix (Can adjust spice accordingly)
    1 Kg Lamb Mince
    1 Tsp Cumin Seeds
    600ml Boiled Water
    400ml Lasagne Sauce
    1 Tbsp Tomato Puree
    1 Tsp Black Pepper
    1.5 Tsp Coriander Powder
    2 Green Chillies
    1.5 Tsp Garam Masala
    Handful of Fresh Coriander
    Lasagne Sheets as required
    Mozzarella Cheese as required (Approx. 250g)
    For The White Sauce:
    40g Salted Butter
    40g Plain Flour
    400ml Milk
    1 Tsp Garlic Granules
    Handful of Mozzarella Cheese
    Method:
    1. Preheat the oven to gas mark 6.
    2. Heat the oil, add in onions and brown off on a high heat. Add in ginger and garlic and cook for a further 2 mins.
    3. Add in salt, basaar mix and the meat. Cook until fully brown and in the cumin seeds. Break down any big lumps of meat and add in 300ml of water.
    4. Simmer on a low heat for 15 mins.
    5. Uncover and on a high heat add in the lasagne sauce, tomato puree, black pepper and coriander powder. Continue to reduce liquid.
    6. Add in green chillies and garam masala and cook until you see the oil separate from the sides of the pan.
    7. Add in 300ml of water and simmer on a low heat whilst you make the white sauce.
    8. For the white sauce, melt the butter and add in the flour.
    9. Cook on a low heat for a few mins with the garlic granules. Add in half the milk and whisk any lumps away. Add in the rest of the milk and cook until the sauce thickens.
    10. Turn off the heat and in the cheese. Leave aside for assembly
    11. Return to the mince and garnish with fresh coriander.
    12. In an oven proof dish place 1 layer of mince, add lasagne sheets and pour white sauce on top. Repeat this whole process until you have 3-4 layers. You can also add mozzarella cheese in between.
    13. Cover the dish with aluminium foil and place in the oven for 40 mins. For the last 10 mins of cooking remove the foil in order to brown the top.
