Just knowing that this is one of the areas of Japan less visited by tourists makes me want to go there! I think CZcams is a great way of showing people abroad what there is to do in these areas - if you don't know they exist, you'd never choose to go there!
dungarees look amazing on you. Wow that's a radish😮.
An amazing place. Nice clean air, sun, food, lovely people. Perfect
You convinced me, looks like a place I would like to visit, not too crowded and nice people.
見ていて楽しいですね。あなたの行動力に敬意を表します。日本の田舎へ行ってもらって感謝です😊
Just relaxing to watch the zen garden portion.
Teshima! So nice, I'm totally jealous. I went on a solo trip to see the Setouchi Triennale in 2019, but skipped Teshima because most artwork is permanent and I thought I could go some other time, when there was a chance it'd be less busy. Love love LOVE the whole Setouchi area, and I think the art show is the best time to visit it because the artworks serve as anchor points to meander between and enjoy the stunning island landscape. Plus the extra infrastructure helps to get around. Still sad I had to sit out last year due to the recent plague... guess I'll have to wait for 2025.
The area is just magical! I’m planning to go back in the summer this year! You’ll definitely love Teshima once you get the chance to visit next time 😁
every time I find a new vlogger showing me Japan, it reminds me of my travels... Love re-living the experience through fresh new eyes like yours. Haven't been there in years, would love to go again. Keep up the good work and good luck.
Keep making these videos please! I think they are sooo well made, packed of useful information and fun! I've watched a loooot of different videos about japan from various vloggers und your videos are some of the best! Also well edited and well paced!
The Seto Inland Sea, located between the Chugoku and Shikoku regions, is called the Mediterranean Sea of Japan, and the climate is quite similar and comfortable.
This place looks amazing and I’d be more than happy to make the journey to stay there. I loved that little terrace you had as part of your room. Great video and best wishes to you 😊
Loved the video and intrigued by the location. It looked so chilled.
Looked like quite a journey to get to, but absolutely worth it. Very beautiful place.
Also nice to get a better sense of things behind the scenes at TC. Love what you are doing to promote tourism to lesser known part of Japan.
Your reaction to the radish harvest was perfect. 🤣🤣🤣👍
That AirBNB looked insane! Not too shabby Sarah. Haha! Also, zen gardens are supposed to be a relaxing meditative exercise but I think it would just stress me out so much. I'd be angry zen. Love the bts work trip. It looks like hard work but also quite enjoyable and fulfilling. You seem to be living your best life! It's great to see! Thanks for the vid!
Angry Zen 😂 I was worried about messing it up… so for me it was a little bit of stressful zen! Haha
The place you stayed at was so pretty and the goats 🐐 were a bonus. I'd love that since I'd miss mine if I was traveling.
Looks so picturesque, i'm not sure about the 7 hours journey there & back. That's almost a full day, but if you were passing nearby, it would be a treat !
Love your style, keep doing it Sarah! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Thank you so much 🥹
Absolutely LOVED the BTS of this video! Thank you as always for being so generous in how transparent you are with you days, nights, meals, jobs and life in general! You are gorgeous, absolutely amazing, killing it, and completely deserve every single bit of success coming your way! Here is to seeing much much more prosperity for you! ❤🎉🙏🏻
This was so cool to see! Thank you for sharing the behind the scenes!
appreciate all your hard work sarah cant wait to see japan
Looks like such a fun but tiring journey at the same time with some relaxing moments!🏞️🚝🚞🛤️🗾
I actually prefer taking the long train ride compared to flying! Definitely relaxing looking out the window 😌
It looks amazing and definitely a must do for future trips.
this looks so fun. Ich bin ein bisschen neidisch auf dich. danke seera and tokyocreative for all the quality videos you guys keep pushing out
Love these videos so much :)
The islands of Shikoku are sooooo beautiful!! I've only been to Shodoshima, but it was stunning!! I'm soooo jealous of youuuuuu.
"...so it doesn't look like work, but it is."
These short and concise types of videos are more fun and easy to watch! suits better to my short attention span but hey, maybe it will get you more people watching!
Danke für dein Video! ❤😊
Is it only us Ozzies that have "Breakie". Great trip, I soooo want to go to Teshima NOW!!!!!! Cheers, Muffy from Oz
Beautiful. Also that green onion smelled wunderbar. Lol. Cheers.
The work part is brutal... but I do like the setting a whole ton. xD Thanks for sharing Sarah!
Interesting insight! I went on a business trip to Osaka and Kyoto last year and it was very similar to this in terms of constantly running around filming stuff. That bath at the end of the day went from being a convenience to a necessity after all the walking in the intense heat.
You know how it is 😅 Fun getting to see all the main sightseeing locations.. but almost always intense schedules!
I would love to do that
3:50 good enough for a becoming a character in SMB2 :D
I'm so jelly of your line of work 🤣
Seems a relaxing place. Thanks for sharing. How often do you go on business trip like this one ?
Early gang rise up
I will be in Japan in October. I used KimKim to plan my 14 day trip.
You’re definitely good at your job because I need to visit there now 😭😭
Yay! Job accomplished!
Hello , i am a new subscriber , looking at your job here in this video it actually looks fun even if it looks tiring. Definitely is a great job you have there, even you can make videos on youtube as side job is nice. looking forward your videos and recommendation.
Thank you! 😄
I've been back from my 3 week trip to Japan for almost 2 months now and honestly I would quit my job and move tomorrow if I got an offer for a job like yours! My time there feels like a dream, the best dream! I felt like at home and at peace for the 1st time in 31 years. One day I would absolutely love to move to Japan and live my best life!
Much love from Arizona 💜💜
While the work hours seems a bit daunting, it seems the places you visit, the people your met, the food you got to enjoy, its a well earned payoff.. Ngl I would definitely enjoy this
Thank you for your video. Teshima Island looks like a nice place. What can you do in the future to bring more people to Teshima Island?
Well, first, I think you've gotta ask yourselves: "What is our target audience?" Who's going to come here? Probably not first time visitors, or even second time visitors to Japan, because it seems far from the entry points, and relatively difficult to get to. Plus, foreign visitors with limited time will likely want to see 'insert famous thing', which likely isn't close by. Who does that leave then? Travelers who are either foreign residents or people who want to 'explore' Japan (which is likely a much smaller number), and Japanese residents.
Then, I think it would be useful to ask: "Why would people come to Teshima Island?" All of the things you've shown are nice, but can people find those things elsewhere without all that travel? Why would I go to Teshima Island when I could go to Naoshima Island? What's unique about Teshima Island? Can't I eat the same great local seafood and fresh vegetables in other more easily accessible places? Can't I see traditional homes and meet kind and friendly locals?
Factors which might increase my likelihood of choosing Teshima Island over other destinations might include: Price, if I could find a cheap, all inclusive package that assured me food was included. Points if I can get on a bus at a train station and whatever the route, just not have to 'figure out' how to book the next step/ferry/taxi. Train station advertising - I often pick up fliers at train stations that play up aspects of specific destinations/towns. Focus on the costal/beach/island features rather than on homes and zen gardens - again, those are things which you could find in rural Honshu. Maybe a focus on seafood - In my limited time here, I've decided I want to try the best (or, things from the areas they're known for) uni, unagi, ika, and snow crab. So, what could they do to make themselves unique? Not necessarily 'compete' but rather 'stand out' as an option. Come here to ______. As a traveler, if I can do '______' elsewhere easier and cheaper, I'm going to ask myself why I should go there?
I'm sorry for the long post. I'm genuinely trying to be helpful. I'm sure, and can see that it's a lovely place.
well you convinced me, job successful
大根抜き ナイスリアクション🤣🤣🤣
paperwork.. piles and piles upon paperwork. all in Japanese, one little f^ckup and you must start all over 😭 Brekky 😂
Keep up the great work! You should do more collabs to get your subs up. More people need to see your work. Thanks.
I’d love to collab with other creators sometime this year! Will work on it 👀😁
Hi Sarah! Could you please expand on what it meant that the island used to be a "garbage island"? Thanks! 😀
The island was gorgeous. Loved the Zen Garden. 😊
🌞😊👧So Wonderful Peaceful Place fantastic amazing🌵🌊⛵💞🔴
Miss👧 you are looking S0ooooo Beeeauuutiful with her lovely Sparkling big eyes👀💞 love this❤🔴
10-7?!!?!? holy cow, I'd die lol
The daikon's name was Excalibur..
I have the utmost respect for you. You do a wonderful job with all your videos. Thank you for always making my day. Live,And Love With Kindness. ❤😊.
shucks i wanna go there man
it looks fun(✯ᴗ✯)
except going to Shikoku is really annoying that place is so really beautiful.
missing sake or beer ?
Sarah-san has becoming a buddha-sensei after it?
by the way even if you have alot of work but that sound still funny.
Is 10 to 19 ordinary working hours in Japan?
In my country, most people work 7 to 16. There is of course some branches where they have other times and there is some where there is multiple shifts, for longer opening hours or 24/7 places like hospitals.
Oh the Japanese work trips 😅
Why don’t you come to Fukuoka ( Kyushu)?😊
Do you have any interactions with the AYF organization at all??
This sounds like a cool job. I'd love to get paid by my government to promote specific locations 💯😎 Do you have to cover the costs of food/stay/travel, do they supply you with the fun funds, Or are you reimbursed?
I would take a job like this any day even if I had to still spend 6 hours a night during trip doing extra work, haha. but that's just me as a foreigner who is absolutely fascinated with Japan but reality is anything that is turned into a job ends up being like any other job and can get tiresome. It's hard for foreigners watching to understand that, like how can anyone ever get tired of traveling as part of their job in some a beautiful country but i get it. Still way better I think then my office job. I don't have time or money to ever travel within my own country let alone visit others. I've never been out-side my country in fact.
I want to work at the same company
Is it normal to work 10 to 7 in Japan? I guess that is why everything is open so late.
Maybe this question is stupid, but is there outbound tourism as well? (just trying to understand the job better ;-)
Gorgeous, but 7hrs from Tokyo...
What’s your worse business trip?
Good morning. Hope to find you doing well. Looking Fabulous as always. Have Fun. Stay Safe. Sending Love from SanDiego. 😊
I dont think many people could do what you do constantly, over and over.
With a smile.
So, her videos are advertisement?
