Move the stairs to the fish tank boat to the side and install that diesel motor on that yard art boat!! 😂😊😊put the prop in the water with a fish tank aerator bubbler to look like it's runnin!!lol
U hit the nail on the head 100% agree with u.
So THATS what a TEMU diesel 25 looks like! (too soon?) 😂
TEMU is a joke - they tried and tried hitting me with advertising deals for them NO WAY IN HELL
waste money like a billionaire?
Wow sounds like a real experience.
Thanks for sharing James. I’ve also had similar experiences with Chinese products. it’s a minefield we play with because we’re trying to save money. I learnt the hard way with cars. Now I only buy Japanese.
Dr. Demming is the person to thank for Japans quality turn around. Just Sayin !!!
The late, great, Dr. W. Edwards Deming 👍
might be a winner for another fishing boat!
There must be somebody that builds a decent quality diesel outboard
Yanmar
Shame on you😂
James you had absolutely no exaggeration with this Chinese work or art lol. And brother you were way generous with your C+ rating of product .Po it's really not as much your fault as you put on the way I see it you were lied to about the product . You talked to them & expressing your concern about physical size & weight needed .They showed different photos of another product claiming it to be this outboard . So deceit on thier part on this deal bro . Man your like me you don't expect to get lied to with your business dealings as a norm.
Your right about the Red dragon biting us on the butt with so many things here in last decade or so . I blame alot of this on being lied to & mislead by our elected officials like the NAFTA Cigar Man from Arkansas. And unless we get hold of things in a hurry it's only going to worsen as we go .we are lied to daily by officials & Media it's a damn shame . Thanks for sharing the Good, Bad & Ugly here God bless
The problem I find is that the Philippines government increased their duty tax so high it's to costly to ship good made for America product into the Philippines. That's one trade off of living in the Philippines. Nevertheless, life wise, you're still up in the game.
The exhaust exits out the center of the prop and the vents on the side of the foot are water intake ports. The casting is massive because that is a diesel with high torque. A smaller casting would crack. Looks like a nice unit built with quality Yamaha parts. It will be very fuel efficient and dependable. Remember to add a fuel water separator between the tank and the engine and as close to the engine as possible.
Dad always said you get what you pay for. Sorry you had to go through this experience.😢
That's why i try not to buy anything from there, but it's hard because most everything is still made there. By the way, your face is noticeably "slimming" your diet is really working. 👌
52 pounds GONE
i had time to think about your problem , just get you a 10 Honda 4 stroke, you could use it for trolling on your big boat , put it on your dingy for exploring , and use it for an emergency backup for your main boat
Thanks for the video sir sorry for your aggravation
Ordered a motor and they sent you a anchor.
EXACTLY
Agree that Red Dragon is everywhere, glad you stopped payment, so hard to find quality items not made in China or PRC or ROC, like they are trying to confuse people with acronym
when the "engineer" is a farmer.
I know Chinese factories. many have NO clue what they do.
By the way my friend, Suzuki outboards have been a number one choice in boaters here in Ak,,, the choice for the outboard on your case should be the short shaft on the Pinoboat,,, they are strong quiet and gas saving,,, just helping regarding outboard motors
Diesel outboard not gas. Yanmar will be my best bet.
China China China
Thats why you need to buy Mercury outboard from here in the US. And have someone from here in the US ship it directly to you .I ship parts for my friends harley and ship over direct to him thru LBC with no problem. I get his parts at Los Angeles Harley.
Mercury Marine Wikipedia
Some manufacturing is in Fond du Lac, while 40-60 HP engines are made in China. Smaller engines are Tohatsus that have been rebadged. Mercury Marine ..
exactly Tom and you are just paying big for a Mercury name. Yamaha , Mercury, Honda etc have all sold out to the China machine. China is selling them out the back door constantly
Mr. James....🤣🤣🤣... All that Headaches....I think you need a good cup of Black Coffee....
China and Philippines always causes problems with shipping and customs....
It's all about the money.....✌️
Is it a new outboard, or used
Brand New!!!
Integrity is lacking in the Philippines, i would rather honesty even if it’s not what I want hear than yes yes yes…I don’t understand why Filipinos are not frustrated. They deal with the same issues. They will tell you anything you want to hear in terms of delivery.
Maybe one of the guys can use it? I’m not sure using it as boat motor would be realistic but maybe motor for cement mixer or something basic. Generator set?
Excuse me, Dr. Edward Deming
There's someone who knows their Japanese history 😎👍
True story James, Japan has great manufacturing precision and the increase in quality over the decades was also assisted by "Porter's Five Forces". Japan actually adopted Porter's ideas before the USA. Eventually, the USA also applied his ideas back in the early 80's. Just think about the Chrysler K-Car which was a piece of junk but kept Chrysler afloat until they could improve their manufacturing. Things in the USA may not always be cutting edge, but when we decide to improve, our economic might makes it happen quicker than anywhere in the world. We are now playing catch-up with computer chip manufacturing, and It's going to be exciting to see what happens with the recent investment in Computer Chip Fabs in the USA.
Now about China, they have Tier 1 facilities such as Foxconn which made the iPhone, but as you point out there are a whole host of crap manufacturers that make knockoff products. Generally speaking if the price seems too good to be true....it probably is crap. Also trying to determine the manufacturer's quality is going to be hard especially with rebranded products. Your mechanical experience serves you well with reviewing products! Great video.
Damn dude, you got that one broke off in your ass. I hope the credit card company gets all the splinters out. Sorry about your trouble.
I wouldn't even trust to reuse those screws from the crate. China couldn't make a reliable anchor if they tried.... problem is, they won't.
Couldn’t have explained the situation any better with what’s going on in the world.
You might have a 125hp Engine and they forgot to stick the one(1) on the cowling. As far as TEMU goes I got a pair of shoes from them, didn’t fit,in order to get my money back I was told to donate the shoes rather sending them back, hehehe
If there is one thing I noticed when ordering from China. If it is being shipped to the US, you get a better quality, if it is being shipped to the Philippines, the quality is way different.
Just buy a mooring ball now that you have the anchor.
I wouldn't poison the fish with this junk
The situation would be so annoying but it's hilarious how big that thing is 😅
What credit card do you use that gives you such good consumer protection?
Chase Cards. I have many chase bank accounts with healthy deposits. I have a perfect pay history with all of my card providers as well as a very active history. They never have a reason to doubt me
the finish paint looks like its not factory finish
For me i will never ever use china made outboard out there in the ocean coz of "TRUST ISSUES" unless the whole shop and mechanics are coming with 😅
table Food jokes 😂😂😂😂 still water in the Boots
This is the reason why I barely buy anything chinese. Usually they're a hit or a miss but I guess this one's a miss
That's disappointing! The cowling looks like my 200 hp Mercuy!
Even the finish work is horrible. Even the cast job is horrible, what a nightmare.
Tofu dreg on everything china makes
Everything? Most people are satisfied with their i-phone and Tesla made in China.
☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️, I had 2 bad experiences, with them China 🇨🇳, I know you promote local, but most chia Junk, Local German is better but still shit, I just save now and buy branded. I can save ordering about 30 to 70%. Love Honda, Also Suzuki for cheep Automotive, Have a tiny 3 cylinder truck, Sorry for sour exchange. American is so Grade A +,Lesson Learned Bro, he he, I shipped 12 massive boxes tools, Japanese is A right now, God Bless Belus
German products are shit. yeah right!!
Is this where those Chinese boats got their name from? A "Junk"?
James, sometimes you get what you pay for from the Chinese. Don't go cheap on boat engines.
Limited options on Marine outboard diesels. Over paying is not good either.
As Han Solo might say, you'll end up floating home! 🤣
You are definitely a lot calmer than I would be, even days later. Too bad you can't introduce them to the good ol North Texas wood shed! DJT 2024🇺🇲
How will lumber help this motor?
@@tryscience SMH🙄
@@igabfbrn hahaha. 😜
@@tryscience😊
They might let ya keep it n watch your vids on how u will modify it to work fa u🤔👀🧐
Why would a diesel need a magneto?
Tawian = China
China = China
So by your logic:
USA = UK
UK=UK
?
@@richardcraft929Made in USA by illegal aliens.
That’s the problem when you buy online. You don’t always get what you see. You didn’t mention Australia
Bummer... World is a frigging mess... This is my 3rd attempt: Please come back and run for Prez...
What Credit Card do you have that gives you good purchase protection. I have had the same company for over 20 years and they are useless when it comes to refuting a charge.
Ordering from China has been hit and miss, for me. The quad ATV I ordered for my Grandson, several years ago, was very disappointing. The metal cage around it was mangled, and the build quality would have been better if a Junior High student built it!
I guess you got a motor from the same place? 🤔
How did the US go overboard on regulation? What regulation is unnecessary?
I have a very good friend who is married to a Chinese woman. They live in the US but she isn’t a citizen and doesn’t speak English very well. Regardless of that Richards a smart guy and he lived in China for a while. When we were talking about how China has significantly increased their presence in the world, even in the Philippines and Scarborough islands which surprised me because China has never invaded a country. Anyway he said don’t worry because they don’t think like us. They really don’t.
You seem to have gotten bitten but you don’t get A or A+ when spending 1/2 of what it would typically cost. It worked fine for you on your inverters and stuff. This time not.
My inverters are from Tiawan not China. My batteries they cheated me with grade b cells which means I dont get the capacity I paid for. I will bitch on those too. Crooks
@@TexasFilipino sorry to hear about your experience with your batteries. Thought that they had been pretty go up to now?!
I think the people of Tibet might disagree with you.
The USA built Japan after WW2
China makes everything, the high-end and the cheap stuff. It is quite hard to navigate and find the right product. I hope you left a review on this product, so others are warned.
When i saw the thumbnail i thought maybe you bought a Chinese Junk Boat, like the Intrepid Dragon, but yeah it looks like you got some real Chinese junk.
You really need a 40hp for the boat,25hp would barely put that boat on plane.
Yes you should have know better! China with a diesel outboard? Who makes a 25hp diesel outboard they could steal the plans from? That is the frist question!
I'd give it a C- 😮 an yes I remember when Japan was the same, but much better Quality now , with electric being the best! I bought a chain saw, said was a stil, but only the chain guard😢used it once, an wouldn't start again, took it to shop ran it once but keeps stalls 😢
When we buy china made , we already know its a pure RISK. A gamble. Sometimes we win but typically we loose. We can only blame our self for taking that risk. I have done it and we all have done it.....
Man, if they don't want it back I would tear that engine apart, rebuild it, test it and if it passed make it a 4 wheel hoopty engine.
Credit card disputes are a blessing. However, I just had my replacement card sent, and it was sent to Brazil and of coarse undeliverable. Now my card no longer works, about to have my Starlink cut off :(
I bought a China electric bike a few years ago and yes customs here was a PITA (and a ripoff) Not to mention the motor burned out the first time it went up a mountain a short distance. China 👎👎👎
Now put yr hand over yr heart and promise yourself never to buy anything with a combustion engine involved from China! Yep, go get that Yanmar - 180 odd kg’s of paracetamol. We all learn from yr experiences! Soldier on James. PS. Plessinger just rode his KTM 450 into 1st place at San Diego Supercross event. 👏👏👏
Don’t order anything off of wish , same deal, don’t deliver product
China all about money not quality pisses me off
Big box of crap😢.
It is a total box of crap
My Chinese wife approves this message. Chinese food 👍, chinese product quality 👎.
I dont hate Chinese. Just the ways of doing things with no regards to any others than themselves is what I hate. I know not all things made there are like that but the bulk of it is. You tell your wife my statement is no way meant as a insult to the normal people of China that are just trying to make their way in this complicated world
Since you are probably not monitoring your video on the concrete boat any longer, I'm out of place here but wanted to make sure that something that was mentioned by someone and liked by you is clarified.
Beach sand...is not the same as river sand or desert sand. In fact they all differ in the content of salt and other impurities embedded over thousands of years?
When you buy sand it has different compositions, and embedded salt and other minerals into the silica. So any generic beach sand can have lots of impurities that must be aggressively washed and sifted out to be compatible with cement. It's one of the biggest problems with ferro-cement boats and construction here in the PH. Poor quality sand.
It is a decorative yard art not a real boat to be put in the water.
@TexasFilipino I know its decorative only. Just wanted to make the general point about beach sand regardless of its intended use for anyone thing of using it for other applications. I forgot to mention the obvious, it wreaks havoc on rebar/supporting wire causing failure.
In the years living here I have seen a lot that contradicts some claims like these. For instance it wreaks havoc on rebar. I have seen beachside structures that was built 20 30 40 and more years ago which they used beach sand to build. Some got knocked out by big typhoons some was just being removed for new buildings or updating. I was there personally to see the rebar inside and it was perfect still. No rust, no swelling and the concrete was hard as hell. Now my place was not built from beach sand just to set you clear. We hauled in clean sand from fresh water. No matter where it is from it is going to have organic material in it and we have had to reject some brought and use it for landfill only. I am aware of the different types of make ups of "sand". Next just a fun little fact - We current humans til this day do not know the ingredients and formula the Romans used that made such superior concrete than we even have today. One thing they have recently discovered through analysis is that is had ........ drum roll please........ Salt in it. Yes Salt! The strongest crete they found by the Romans had salt in it. Let's dive into what makes crete strong. Well it's ability to grow microscopic crystals ( one reason proper moisture is so important even after mixing and during curing phase.) What does salt do? - grows like crystals also. Where does seashells and coral form that are so strong that they last seemingly forever? In salt water. Science often thinks it has all the answers and yet it is always proving itself wrong year after year. Let's look at coated rebar.... Boy it was going to be the answer to everything. Universities did studies and engineers backed it. They built bridges and other structures with it everywhere. It was DEMANDED it be used. The the bridges started failing. Why we used the superior modern methods and yet in a short time they are failing while the old bridges from long ago still standing. Why ? well because soon as you cut the coating , nick the surface and put tie wires cutting into the coating moisture wicks in and then cannot evaporate, the steel corroded and spalling occurred. For me I look at what is proven in reality not labs and agendas with $$$$ always behind it and motive. I have witnessed perfect steel and tie wire in beach side concrete made from beach sand . I had chiseled at it personally to see its strength. The only time I saw spalling was when the rebar was not in deep 1 1/2 inch or more from the surface and where it was left exposed sticking out of columns. Sometimes even that was still good.
@TexasFilipino the latest from MIT as reported in Popular Mechanics is that Roman concretes secrete to longevity is "hot mixing" which allows the Crete to self heal.
And as I said and you admit not all sand is created equal nor are the builders. About any decent sand can be used depending on project if treated properly. A Ferrocement boat submerged in a hostile marine environment with rebar and 7 layers of hexagonal wire (not coated you are correct) MM from the surface, subpar sand or Portland is a guarantee for failure. It's why they had such a bad rap as "hippie boats" because the poor hippies would just get free sand at the beach in the middle of the night and not wash, heat treator sift out other Impurities. My boat was professionally built in the early 70's in Wilmington NC by a yard with lots of experience with them.
I've seen others where the rusting from the concrete being somewhat permeable and the metal exposed to the salt/moisture causing rust/expansion leaving spalling.
I see lots of buildings and walls falling apart here in Mindanao due to poor beach sand quality as admitted by the people who actually built them and now regret taking short cuts. As for you S.S. Minnow, yeah anything will do!
I look forward to seeing the final product.
They definitely tried to sell you a pup. Someone less experienced than yourself may well have fallen for it,
I feel sick just looking at it!!! What a piece of crap.
Buying from China is always a gamble and requires due diligence. Save yourself time and money and buy from trusted brands next time.
I am so sorry James, you left me with no choice but to laugh during your video. Only difference is, I purchased through Shopee which was refunded through ShopeePay, but I can't link my North American bank account & can't get a Philippine account until I have been here for 6 months my money is tied up in limbo and because my ShopeePay account is full I can't even return a poorly made cheap Chinese made camera.
