      I just didn't like him because of his religious debates with Christopher Hitchens but he's correct on a lot of things that aren't about religion. Hitch always said they didn't hate each other, they were actually friends who just disagreed on a lot of things. That was back when public figures could disagree with each other and still respect each other.

      I’m just curious what your opinion is three years removed from your post. I used to feel the same way about Dinesh. I really can’t stand the far left, but I thought Hitchens absolutely destroyed him when it came to religious debates. After his last documentary, and the criticism that it got from both sides of the aisle, he seems kind of persona non grata anywhere these days.

    I disagree with the notion that Obama wants to spread power equally among nations of the world... I travel a lot for work and the US dollar is kicking currencies from other countries' ass (except the EU). Something that did not happen when republicans were in office... Dollar was way lower in comparison to other countries in the Bush administration.

    • @righteousgod8376
      @righteousgod8376 Před 7 lety +1

      I trade foreign currencies markets. Having a 'strong' currency is not necessarily a good thing. A strong dollar for example means anything made in America is more costly to the world since its priced in dollars. This means jobs and other types of economic activities (like manufacturing) will seek to move to other countries. A large trade deficit means wealth going out of the country unless balanced by countervailing foreign investment in this country which is targeted at economic activity that creates jobs.

    • @chrisjamesg
      @chrisjamesg Před 7 lety

      I see your point... I just assumed that a strong USD vs other currencies meant that the economy is stronger. When the 2007-2009 crash happened, Australian dollar was above USD for example. AUD now sits at around 0.75 vs USD. Doesn't that mean the US economy is stronger now than years back?

    23:38 - "All the salves in the whole country were owned by democrats." 28:22 "They [democrats] took all this stuff that they did, the whole list, it's a horrible list... ...lets put it on the south." Now he's going to invoke "The big switch", but when he talks about inner city problems they all stem from a partisan effort on the part of the democrats, while when he talks about freeing the slaves he says "some American did it, and other Americans stopped them." Now what if I were to say that the inner city problems are a failure of governance across the country where you find democrats and republicans, while slavery was a division in political ideology (civil war)? Does anyone see a problem with this?

    • @ovrezy
      @ovrezy Před 4 lety +1

      Inner cities across the country are all democrat-run slums, Detroit being the best example because of the stark changes there. It was the richest zip code IN THE WORLD, democrat leftist policies killed the goose that laid the golden egg and now there are houses that can't be given away.
