I dont think Jones beating Pereira would be automatic. While at lhw Jones always struggled against large elite strikers with Pereiras frame, he arguably lost to Reyes who is 6"4 ,struggled with an injured Santos who was a 6'3 striker, and struggled with Gustafson who was a 6'4 striker. Alex Pereira is 6'4 1/2 with an 80 inch reach and is the best striker in lhw history. Ironically Jeri beat Reyes who Jones arguably lost to and Hill beat Santos who gave Jones all he could handle and had a blown acl in the Jones fight to boot. Pereira smashed both Jeri and Hill who like I said destroyed guys Jones arguably lost to. So Alex has mma math on his side and has the frame, style and reach that Jones has always struggled with while at lhw. My only thing is how would Alex look at heavyweight? Hes definitely got the tools and size to beat Jones at lhw, but can he at heavyweight? Its a must see fight, however Tom is a much more difficult matchup for Jones and fans want to see that probably as much or more than Jones fighting Alex. I think Jones is afraid Tom will hand him a loss so wants guys who can't wrestle. If Stipe somehow knocks Jones out than all of these dream matchups are out the window "I think Stipe has a chance to beat Jones as long as Stipe isnt washed"
