@@Sean-zz2lj - He never stated it was a fact, comment sections are usually people giving their opinion and that's all he's doing. And to be fair, people saying Stipe is washed up is based on nothing tangible either. "Trends we've seen with aged fighters" is so broad sweeping, you have to judge each man on a case by case basis and Stipe has shown he's a high IQ fighter that can stick to a smart game plan. Plus I think it's easier to be a 40 year old heavyweight than it is to be a 40 year old lightweight. They expend less energy, are more about the power (and IQ) which is the last thing to go. Look what George Foreman accomplished as an old guy.

WTF is Topuria on, Islam isnt going to be champ after Poirer fight. Also, you don't move up in weight after winning the belt, you move up after clearing out the top of the division, and reign means more to legacy than multiple divisions. Lastly, its the LW belt, theres a whole dividion of fighters who have earned shots at the title. Islam has been champ for close to 2 years and has 0 title defenses again LW opponents. He has a sham legacy riding on fighting people smallee than him moving up in weight. You need to clear out your own dividion first.

@orionsimerl6539 Everyone and their mother knew that Oliviera did not want the rematch, yet his coaches, his fans and the UFC pushed him to do it. As far as Volk goes, it was the UFC that wanted Volk. to fight for the LW title, which is why Khabib made that callout with Volk in attendance. The argument could be made that was a stipulation for Islam to fight for title that he had to accept the Volk fight as his first defense.

Why do people think that it's a massive pay day for people who fight Conor? Unless it's a Championship match, where he gets PPV points, they are fighting Conor on whatever contract they are on. This means there is no additional money just for fighting Conor.
