    Hey so here is my review of the PS4 back button attachment! Paid for out of my own pocket so no sponsored review or anything like that. I think if you are a pad player, this is downright decent and you should consider getting one! I show 3 example games (dbfz, tekken 7, sfv) and how the back button attachment can make your life easier in those games, on top of the actual hardware review.

  • @AX02Crusnik
    @AX02Crusnik Před 4 lety

    I love my Steam Controller for fighting games for this reason. Fully customizable keybindings for the entire controller (you can even bind button combinations) with the bonus of 2 buttons on the bottom of the controller. Works wonders for games like Tekken where some moves require you to hit odd combinations of buttons for a gamepad like 1+4 (X+B/Square+Circle), or 2+3 (A+Y/X+Triangle). I made a setup where I can RDC really easily and that should let me do any other move without issue.
    Honestly these back buttons have been on third party controllers for a long time. Like since CoD4. They really should just be standard by now.
    Also I enjoy using the touchpad since I find I can do QCFs and super jumps more easily with it compared to a gamepad's stick. Super Jump in particular goes from being a 2 action move to a 1 action move with the touch pad. Instead of pointing a joystick down then up I just swipe from the bottom of the touchpad to the top, and boom. Super Jump.

Cuz to do the j66 in the air I’m not quick enough to get it constantly and the simple dash of R2 ends in accidental super dashed more often than not. Yea this attachment is going to be crazy for teching throws in mk if you can double up the inputs I'm hoping it works as such just double up the inputs and regardless of the grabs just push the back button and tech the throw regardless which way I'm being thrown

    • @rooflemonger
      @rooflemonger  Před 4 lety +2

      Keep in mind while it can give you a second button, it doesn't replace the first. So if you hit button buttons at the same time (say both are square), it only counts as 1 input of square. Game won't let you cheat it directly like that. However for feathering/plinking inputs, works like you think it should

  • @irvintang2751
    @irvintang2751 Před 4 lety

    I just bought it, after a few minutes of play, it’s pretty bad. It completely destroyed the ergonomic of the ds4 and place itself right at the center of gravity so there’s no way to “rest” the controller.
    You can actually accidentally press the buttons with your ring finger during intense play or just doing dp. Because the button rest right on the ring finger.
    The idea of the mod is good but the form factor is a fail.
