      No, these numbers are not very useful. Companies use shared information 'to give you a better consumer experience'. So you are targeted because of your behaviour using Google, Facebook, Alexis, Google Net and so on. Analytics will be used to think what you might need in the future. Often this works, but sometimes it doesn't. We all agree to this by giving business permissions. It's part of the job of the IT department, working together with specialized business employees.

    Unfortunately, this procedure won't stop some robocalls. Most robocallers now don't use a database of specific numbers, but just dial every possible number in a block or area code. This way, they don't overlook any that are private or not in a database. So even if your phone number was NEVER used, it will be called by spammers.

No they leave it to the end user to protect themselves, while they gladly leave us as victims of preventable incursions. I don't think 2 sim cards will help, imo that will just give you double the problems because then you would be receiving robocalls from BOTH numbers...
    I never gave out my phone number and was still receiving a ton of random calls daily (my guess is the previous owner gave it out everywhere)
    Anyways what I ended up doing was messing with my phone settings and I have it set up to where whenever I leave it on "do not disturb" 24/7 I only recieve calls from the 2-3 numbers in my contacts and everything else gets blocked for the most part but for the 1 call that does slip by every now and then I just block it so I don't have to worry about it in the future but honestly those are really really rare now I've only recieved 1 random call since June 9th

    I'm about ready to give up trying to live anonymously. The simple solution is for these businesses to respect our privacy. Despite giving up my phone number and email, I don't get much telemarketing by phone or email. With caller ID, I just don't answer unknown numbers. As for email, I have methods in place that rejects certain email and I don't respond to email by the links in the email or call the phone numbers in the email.

    QUESTION: at video mark 7:00, you say you keep your original number, but NEVER USE IT! Does this mean I continue to pay a monthly subscription fee for that original number, but never use it??? Doesn't sound right. OR....., di you say that I will TRANSFER my existing number to Mint Mobile (and get rid of my current provider, right?) , and THEN set up one or two or more VOIP numbers that cost nothing on a monthly basis? Do I have that right? OR.... are you suggesting something else? Video could be more clear about all this. Also, how does one determine if one's phone has eSIM capability?

    • @LironSegev
      @LironSegev  Před 11 měsíci +1

      You can do whatever you want.
      I keep my original number and transfer it to a voip provider. I used Google voice and paid once off $20. I use mint for my data to access all my Voip numbers. Literally said that if you watch a little bit more.
      You can find if you phone is eSim compatible on mints website or Google your phone specs and look for eSim.
