Skyrim Creation Kit Tutorial - Water

- Not so much a tutorial but I guess a simple explanation and demonstration on how to create water planes and water sources (such as streams and waterfalls) within an interior cell.

oh wow this was back in 2012. i was going to ask a question about how to adjust the speed of water. but i doubt you even still mod for this game anymore.
i was thinking of an idea using water as an rapid transport without using to many scripts, water speed multipliers that are more often used on waterfalls, you know how that elevator script used in that mushroom in the solshime tower?
well i think the water speed multipliers could be used in much of the same way but less reliant on difficult scripts as they are constant loops.
i also thought of creating a telekinesis script to automatically pick up the player when they get close to an area and send them through a portal. i think it could be a cool idea that's never been seen in the game using the mechanics.
and no worries mate. where i come from we pronounce mountain with out the T so it's more like mowin.

thanks for the tutorial, but i have one question- how do you change the direction of water flow as well as add a current (affects player's movement)? suppose you wanted to make the water animation flow away from your waterfall in the vid. I noticed "FX" icons labled "water1024CREEKSE"

I'm not sure if comments for your tutorials are even checked on after so much time.... but, I was curious if this would also be applicable when creating a bathtub? I can't seem to find a single video showing how to create baths that can be added for restorative properties ( Frostfall compatibility being one objective) let alone overall creation of one.

so disable the swimming effect when you get under the water. say i wand a pool on top of a roof, but i want to be able to walk around under that roof without randomly swimming in air.

I'm having trouble with everything under the 2d plane being water. Problem is that I've got an area under this (a different hall) and this is now submerged. So when you're walking along, your suddenly under water. Is there a way to fix this?

Try turning water on in the view menu. Other than that I'm not sure what to tell you.

My mod is fucked because CK decided to rais one chunk of water of the sea and now i'm swimming in my own town. I cant do anything with the water not even selecting it. pls help
I have the exact same problem and do not know how to fix it. An entire cell of water has been raised like a chuck into the sky.

I was able to fix it when the terrain does it. You can lower the terrain to reconnect with the other cells. But why on Earth the water does this i dont know! And its not possible to fix as far as i know :/

Hey great tutorial. I placed some water, it showed up and worked fine. Later I went back in and I could no longer see my water while in the editor but it still shows up fine when testing the level. Do you know how to get the water to show up in the editor?
