Minor nit-pick, it's actually "Damping", not "Dampening". To "damp" something means to slow down its motion, such as with a fluid. To "dampen" something means to make it wet 😂

So if your zip tie is glued to the top, tighten the compression some and loosen the rebound so the shock can extend to its natural position?
