Humans are social creatures. Even the most introverted of us still, at their core, secretly fears total abandonment and isolation. That’s what makes SCP-3001 almost purgatorial in its conception. It’s a cruel in-between where anything that dares to exist inevitably becomes unmade.

What disturbs me the most, personally, is the way his speech slurs after losing half his brain... You can hear the severe brain damage in his voice. And the very last log, where he's just moaning, you can almost feel his body being torn apart by those waves.

This is such a good depiction of the Red Reality. I’m really impressed with how you did so much, captured so much emotion, with so little. Which is how this needed to be shown visually due to the way this SCP was designed. Robert might be a scientist, but he isn’t enthusiastic about his predicament and isn’t thinking about what there is to explore or discover. He is frustrated and just wants to get home to his wife. It’s sad and scary and beautiful and you caught all of that in this video.

Personally, the skip was excellently written and it truly feels like it would actually happen. The logs get more heart breaking and tragic. And since this is recreating those desperate scenes with almost nothing to see except a red light is the researcher Robert and how long until time flies and his body is becoming less real due to its low hume.
Im really glad y'all made this and it is an honour to see it! Im sure the author is very proud!

Personally the original document always hits me harder than this version. He comes across as a little too mean-spirited here, which is absolutely understandable but it still makes him less likable to me. This video is still absolutely brilliant though.

There's an alternate explanation in that the method of ressurection itself caused that suffering, some people have started using that premise (MC&D selling paratech powered by that suffering for example, it required them to arrange a ressurection in the future though)
Also it's possible that the fear and suffering in addition ti the anomalous machinery turned the experience into a contagious infohazard as it somehow manages to make all of the O5 council shit their pants in under a minute, wjich explains why O5-1 mandated the memory wipe and why O5-4 felt compelled to share it

I like to think as things got more “real” Scranton’s body slowly reformed, and eventually he went through a wormhole, sans his hand and lots of blood and whatever was returned via Red. But I know if we’re being honest, he either disintegrated completely, or he was suddenly brought back into a reality he couldn’t exist in. Either way, I can’t help but hope this fictional character didn’t suffer any more.
I literally just discovered scp and the whole community like a few hours ago and I'm so sucked into this. This is sooo good and omg, I loved it! Hope more ppl see this and more ppl get to get this experience.
At first I thought, cool I wouldn't mind this. But as I watched more and he hit the 2 years mark I was shocked and how he was going insane and at the same time getting unreal (?) was so stressful to watch, but really worth it. You guys made a masterpiece.

Tbh I don’t think it is since I think the acting’s quite bad, don’t like the visual aspect and also they changed and skipped quite a few things, I think the one by Site-42 is underrated.
at least he had something that would respond to him and keep track of time. that probably helped him knowing that what he was doing was real and tangible, prolonging the inevitable.

I couldn't even make it past 20 minutes, I had to skip to the end so I could hear another voice. It's to the point I worry for Ana and makes me want that somehow Robert managed to escape, even though I know that blood and vomit has to be somebody's... Good fucking job

@@ForlornFoundry I know, heard that one, butstill... it's different. The whole vibe from that podcast is simply not there, unlike the 1562 Episode. Don't get me wrong, it was interesting, but not the same. You guys have simply amazing content visually and Volgun have that calm voice that sounds a bit off when "under stress" ... as all researchers do have... (well, including me, during my PhD. XD)

The fact that he had nobody to talk to or be around was terrifying enough, but his only existence of anything was himself(in which he could not see besides his hands and body) along with just one little red light in which became his only hope and beacon so he could see his hands and body...
...man...this has got to be one of my top favorite SCP stories ever depicted...
