Angie is a life flight nurse. She had a crown on upper right second molar tooth due to tooth pain and decay. Due to continued pain of that tooth, she had root canal treatment. Later still she had that tooth extracted since pain continued. Pain worsened afterwards. Tried antibiotics, muscle relaxers, bite guard, NTI splint and still had no relief.
Angie would feel excruciating pain in the right side of her jaw and face. She said it felt like an electric shock and radiates. The pain was so sharp that it stops her from anything that she is doing. Angie thought that she knew what pain was. This pain was at 15 on a 10 point scale! During these episodes, even touching the gum with tongue would make the pain worse. These are symptoms classically diagnosed as Trigeminal Neuralgia. Trigeminal Neuralgia is treated with Tegretol, Neurontin and many other medications that dull the central nervous system, through which the symptoms are 'managed'. If increased doses do not help, neurosurgery procedures including Micro Vascular Decompression are done, not always with relief.
Angie was referred to Dr. Raman to diagnose the cause and resolve this pain.
She came in for an evaluation and consultation and then chose to go through a series of diagnostic tests. Once the correct jaw/neck alignment was determined, she was fitted with a fixed physiologic neuromuscular orthotic for 90 days.
Within the first week of having the fixed orthotic, Angie had a great deal of relief. Within 90 days not only her severe facial pain, but also her 30 year history of headaches, neck pain, back pain and leg pain almost completely resolved.

Two tablespoons of castor oil , followed by a warm drink, rescued me after days of non-stop pain and imminent madness.. I always keep castor oil handy just in case it decides to revisit. Hope this helps someone out there.

Dr. Raman, this is incredible. It sounds so very similar to the first time I began to have pain 6 years ago after having 1 cavity filled in the very same tooth. I am so hopeful for my upcoming treatment!

A year later, Angie continues to be fine. As a matter of fact, she had forgotten on which side she had pain. :-)

Thank you for your testimony. I just started having pain this week on my left side of my teeth very similar to your testimony, went to my dentist, did x-rays, ect....I suffer from migraines and occipital neuralgia on my right side and do botox treatments. Four days prior to my attack I had supraorbital injections above both eyebrows because I was having pain on both sides of my head in that area and then starting having what we now believe is trigeminal neuralgia. Your testimony is confirming this for me. I kept saying it has to be my tooth! But it kept moving from tooth, to to another tooth to three teeth ect....Now listening to this I am feeling more and more confirmation from this video. I have connected with my Neurologist and Dentist and they both agree it's Trigeminal Neuralgia as well. I have your same symptoms. I am just trying to keep this message short. :

Overjoyed that it has helped you. For headaches, squeze, press tips of thumbs, first left, then right. keep doing it when handsare unoccupied, The tips of fingers, especially the tips of thumbs, correspond to brain. Tips of big toes as well.Accupressure on these points has helped me to recover from, and avoid, a stroke. Much love and best of luck and health.

Almost a year later, she is continuing to remain pain free because we identified and fixed the cause of her symptoms, rather than managing symptoms. Take care.

I'm having an mri today. Will that show if I have TN?This started w dental work. I had a huge cavity. They filled it and then a few months later did roit canal. Then I kept saying I HAVE A BAD TOOTHACHE!I forced them to pull it. I went on antibiotic.. felt little better then BAM bk again. Like the worst tooth ache and dental infection. They sent me to neurologist. Tested my blood.. they claim no infection(I beg to differ) They are making me get this MRI. Then what??

One more thing.. feels like a crunching sound in maybe the bone? I dont know( when I chew) and terrible aching in top rt( where ALL the dental work was). Feels like theres a nerve. Constantly hurting. I've had dental infections before but theres no tooth there

MRI can show if there is myelin sheath missing over part of the Trigeminal nerve, but NOT that is the CAUSE of your symptoms. In fact, such missing myelin sheath has been found on many patients "incidentally" meaning that they had no such facial pain symptoms, but the MRI was done for some other reason.
Based on my experience and your description, it is likely that the root cause is poor jaw alignment TMD or CCMD. All the cases on my channel are people with symptoms with various diagnoses but were corrected by correcting the jaw / neck alignment through Physiologic NeuroMuscular Dentistry
