- Today I just felt like turning the camera on whilst I was creating faux painted wallpaper for my collage stash, which I'll use later for mixed media projects.
These could also be considered as background in themselves.

That orange and white reminds me of the vanilla ice cream-orange sherbert creamsicles I used to love as a kid.

Mom put Flocked wall paper "somewhere" in every house, it varied. But then her mom, my Nan, had it in the row house she grew up in. I have clear memories of Nan's wall papers.

Wonderful video. New techniques for me to try. I do wish you had waited on the next to last pull but you have ways of using even little "booboos" so no issue for you! It just broke my heart to see the paper tear! 🙄I'm still pretty much into perfect. My mantra, "It's only paper." can go only so far when I've put what I consider a lot of time and effort into it!. The idea of using flocked wallpaper for transfers is awesome. They were never my favorite as actual wallpaper on walls (ugh!) but for this they are awesome. Nice job. TFS. Not to go try some stuff - after I fold laundry!! 💖💖💖

My Wilko closed down so had to get paper from Amazon good quality for making notebooks ,insert for cards etc.

I really want one of those freeze driers but they just cost too much for me to try and justify.
Inspiring as usual. I've seen several of your gel print videos and they all use bold, beautiful colors. Do you have a video (I might've missed) where you use softer colors or perhaps would you consider making one? I'm a visual learner and am excited to try several techniques but then my brain hits a mental block when it comes to putting things together. I love all the botanical stuff but I keep thinking dark or bright colors would overpower other elements. Who knows. Maybe I just need to jump in and figure it out. Love your videos and the Alaska video was gorgeous. ❤
I’m not sure I have a specific video on paler colours I tend to use what the project dictates. I understand your apprehension about starting because we all feel we’re going to ruin things when actually they turn out okay. I’m not sure if you’ve got access to a copier or a print shop but why not take a couple of the images and get them photo copied for a trial run of colour combinations you’d then feel happier working on the original images later.

I ordered a gelli plate today after seen this video. I have watched a ton of your videos after a discovered your channel just about a month ago. I see others also use TH distress ink on theirs, do you have a video where you use ink on a gelli plate? tried that too? These wallpapers are absolutly stunning Ceri! Love from Sweden ❤
I did try ink on my gel plate and for me I struggled but others are more successful.

Hello Ceri. I bought a 5 x 7 gel plate but have been scared to use it. Anyway you can walk a newbie to gel printing through how we start. I mean what do we do with a brand new plate, how to take care for the plate then what to use that size plate for. Thank you in advance.
Debbie, I’ll give it some thought and see what I can come up with. My advice would be to follow someone like Gel Press on CZcams to get familiar with it, but basically play is the best way to learn.

Susie I’ll see what I can find out as alternatives, some say you can make a gel plate however I’ve never done that.
The Frugal Crafter has a video on how to make your own using gelatin. Her version doesnt mold.

Ceri, im in the uk also. I live in Scarborough. Where do you get the tissue paper from, wanting to have a go at this. That green looks amazing. Do you actually use the tissue papers for projects ?
Hi there, yes I use the tissue papers for my art journal and collage pieces. I use gift wrap tissue I pick up in a supermarket. The wet strength tissue is called carnival tissue and is manufactured in the UK, it’s not cheap but the sheets are huge and it goes a long way.
You frequently mention coffee-dyed paper. As im a newbie, how do you coffee dye paper, especially using a stencil? Do you have a video you've already done that you could link for me? Thank you! 💖

What is your gel plate on? I like the fact that you can lift it to look at the other side!
It’s on a piece of plexiglass some call it acrylic, it’s just easier fir me to move it around whilst filming.

Probably off topic, but can you please say what kind of paper you use to gelli plate papers for college? I know you use the tissues paper, but what is the thicker paper? It doesn’t look as thick as card stock and do you college with tissue paper?
Debbie I use a lot of different papers, I use gift wrap tissue, wet strength tissue, copier paper, craft paper, presentation paper, packaging, and if I’m creating a 12x12 then I normally use 250gsm card stock. Hope that helped.
I haven't gotten brave enough to even try the jel plates.
Just do it! It’s very addictive, fun and you’ll wonder why you waited so long. Trust me.

Louise, gel printing can be both fun and frustrating, it’s a learning curve of what your preferred paints and papers are, the main issue people seem to have is once you’ve printed all those papers what do you do with them,

@@CeriGriffiths I hoard them. I love getting them out and just look through them. The best ones I keep in a folder and scan or photocopy so I can use them over and over. Others have become cards or pages in a junk journal. If a friend is over and likes one or two, I’ll give them away. I confess, it’s hard to let go sometimes.
I am interested in purchasing some of your stencils but all the prices are in dollars. I am in the UK. Is it not possible to obtain these in the UK? Perhaps I’m being a bit dim!
Chrissie , they can be purchased and shipped to the UK however all prices are shown in dollars as it’s an American company, I think I’ll mention to them that maybe they could introduce a price converter to their website.
