Looking forward to the MACH 30 review!
I think you should put it side by side with the LIFT and also do a series letting Tim, MFJJ, Dan and possibly one other person all take it out and see just how good it is. Time to put the rumors to rest and or see if they’re true.

It’s legit in my opinion. I am running this rig at 65 pounds at 28 at 90% letoff. Shoot a 27 inch RIP TKO with IW components. Total arrow is 440. It’s running 278 FPS.
It extremely deadly. I shoot softball groups consistently at 80 with this thing. Currently I can shoot 4-5 different fixed heads at that distance with no problem. I have narrowed it down to two heads for my moose hunt in September.
With all this said I have owned 5 Mathews. Triax, Traverse, V3, V3X and lastly the Lift. While they all were great bows (the Lift being my pick if I had to pick one) none of them shoot for me like the Mach 30. I wholeheartedly believe the EC2 cam is the main contributor to the accuracy. Now I have had a lot of time with the Evolve Cams way before this bow. I owned the Carbon Air back in 17 with the first gen EC cam and have since owned 4-5 of there carbon platforms (all with the EC cam) before the Mach 30. There hasn’t been a single one that wouldn’t tune like a dream and shoot lights out for me.
For years I have been like if they ever to a 30 inch carbon platform it’s over. I currently have a twin on order. It’s that dang good for me.
On a side note it was noticeably better enough I sold the Lift and don’t have any Mathews as of now.
It’s killed a coues, several hogs and will without hesitation be making the trip to Alaska in September.

i have a few buddies who switched from longer ata flagship bows to the Mach 30 and they all stated they are more stable and accurate at distance vs their previous bows which were only a few years old. using the same arrows and release and sight. They went from Phase 4, VTM 31 and RX7 Ultra to Mach 30.

I have shot the V3 31 and the Phase4 29 for a year and liked them both. Last year i also shot the Levitate also liked that bow so this year i wanted to try a new bow and i loved the shot and draw cycle of the Mock 30 with the E2 cam better than the lift 29.5. But thats what worked for me. Love your videos and pods keep it up.

Mach 30 , phenomenal bow. Coming off an rx7 ultra shoot it just as well. I said I would NEVER shoot a pse was a big Hoyt fan for a long time so very unbiased. The bow just looks good feels good shoots good and is stupid fast and efficient. I don’t care why, it just performs.

You wouldn’t have access to make a year content you do (archery shop, range, testing all archery equipment, when he says you need to be more serious you not and say yes uncle 👍🏾😂. Respect the man and do as he says. Much love for your guys entertainment. That being said mfjj you ante gonna loose no credibility or business not shooting well . I had the rx7 ultra then got an rx8 ultra. I’m 30.5-31” draw… I sold my rx8 ultra and kept the nock 30 (Mach 30 with e2 cam basically) and I find it to hold very well for its size and is very stable. Great string angle with the e2 cam. Not sure I can say as stable as a 34 for same reasons mfjj says… but for a 30” bow at my draw it’s amazing how surprisingly good it feels and shoots. Way more forgiving and better hold than specs would lead you to believe.
I said I’d never shoot anything under a 33/34ata again. So to say I was impressed with the Mach/nock is an understatement. I shoot it as good if not better than my rx8 ultra and I still haven’t figured out why lol

Check the “brace height” at full draw of the Mach 30 compared to other bows (distance from the inside of the grip to the imaginary line between where the strings come off the cam). Due to the offset position of the axle thru the cams and the way the limbs bend it supposedly gets higher than its brace height at rest.

In regards to the third axis level; Why not take the bow out of the equation and use the Brite Site 3rd Axis Accurate Shooting Leveler jig? Ive been wanting to ask why shops dont use this jig to level sites instead of leveling the bow. I think its like $130 setup and you can level 1st, 2nd, and 3rd pretty much anywhere you have a flat surface to set the jig down on.

The Mach 30 is definitely not hype. There is something weird going on with this bow that needs to be explored. This thing is a nail-driver and it shouldn’t be. Short axle to axle, 6” brace height, light weight, and lots of reflex all say no. Like PJ said, it should not be able to do what it is doing.

The Mach 30 with the EC2 cams may be the most overrated and over hyped bow in many, many years. The Mach 30 with the E2/S2 cams may be one of the best short axle bows in recent memory. But in general, the Mach 30 isn't on par with the Levitate or Mach 34.

Why do we spend more money for lighter bows then spend even more money putting weight back on them?

    • @danwattsmessick
      @danwattsmessick Před měsícem +5

Because it allows us to replace the weight where we need it or where it is most important. Heavy is heavy, but that doesn’t necessarily mean the weight is distributed in the most beneficial way.

A quick observation. Your bow reviews are hopelessly skewed and you don’t realize it. You guys, MFJJ, Tim, and Brandon, are relatively tall individuals with longer draw lengths. So, naturally you prefer longer axle to axle bows that fit your dimensions. On the other hand, men who are shorter, with draw lengths from 26”-28”, are going to prefer shorter axle to axle bows with cam systems that are more efficient in this range.
