Thanks so much for the video...gave this about 2 hours...battled from stage to stage...changing all manner of settings..and was just about to give up...when finally I 'fluked' something and it started working in Reaper! Thank you!! There are all manner of settings one has to learn...inout channels..input id's.....Midi channels...and then the various routing options...still don't know exactly what I did to fix it.....but just goes to show if everything lines up...it can work!! Thank you!
Hey Santosh, I'm not sure if you heard but Lemur is now unavailable since a few months ago. The parent company, Liine went out of business... However, MidiKinetics has announced that they purchased Lemur and will have it for sale again in the near future.
My lemur does not see PORT B. Its so weird...when you goto the lemur app, settings...it will not show MidiLoopPort B. Only A and one without the B. Drives me nuts. No idea why....
Hmm, that is strange. Were you able to figure it out yet? Maybe a reboot or check the firewall settings? If worse comes to worse, you can try linking it up via USB cable? Does having the A only connected work by chance?
Hey Jim, when you say last updated, what do you mean? I see 2016 as one of the last updates on my end. I know what you mean though. There are other apps like TouchOSC which are great too. I hope Lemur supports the M1 Mac. Do you have that currently? If not, TouchOSC would be a good alternative and the setup is similar, but watching this tutorial probably wouldn't suffice.
@@SohnCompositions Maybe I missed the update! However, even 5 years is too long. Chrome won't let me go to their site without warning that it's not safe. I downloaded Lemur from the App Store (it says they support M1 chips) but buried in the blurb is the fact that the editor and daemon for macOS only run on Intel. I tried them both and they just freeze and do nothing. The Facebook page is filled with complaints about no-one returning calls never mind providing service. Not a reflection on you, but I'm not sure I'd recommend them without some serious caveats.
Hey Emanuel. I'd have to that's a very subjective claim. Every DAW has its own bugs and quirks. Logic is quite good from what I see but Cubase is an industry standard among amateurs to pros and I think they work with ipads just as well. Is there something I'm missing with Logic and iPad implementation that I should know about?
Touch is the actual solution for everything because any physical controller you buy is gonna irritate you by automatically sending signals problem and disturb your workflow
Thank you so much! This was a huge help! I am using my android tablet and it's working amazingly well! Long fader! Very sensitive.

just discovered lemur...can you use this with any daw or software like kontact,I ask because i just see people use cubase, logic pro,ableton..?
Yes this should work for every single DAW and sampler. It works like any other midi controller.
Anybody know about the current state of the TouchOSC App for M1 Macs?

Note that Lemur does not support M1 Macs. Intel and OSX10.5 only. The Line.net website was last updated over ten years ago! Argggh!

Yes, it's a really good alternative to all of those fancy hardware fader boards out there.
Hi thanks for the info….what if I don’t want to use WiFi on my computer….can you help
Yes, it is actually easier to do it with USB. You just need a cable and select MIDI on the phone/tablet settings when it's plugged in to the computer.
