  • A visit to Billy Lane in Daytona Beach. He gives us a tour in his new Antiques Inc shop, well still Choppers Inc but he knows the two-wheel history! Really looking forward to his and Warren Lanes Sons of speed event during Biketoberfest October 2016.

I met Mr. Lane October of 2005 during biketoberfest. I was in on leave from overseas and his booth offered to fix anyone’s bike who rode to the event. No more leaky rear brake line. Thank you again sir!

Man he sounds totally focused now. More engaged with branching out with his craft. You can tell he went through a true self assessment and realized what he almost threw away. This is good shit!

I was a huge fan of Billy Lane , I am a huge fan of Billy Lane and always will be a fan of Billy Lane. I have travelled 1/2 way around the World (I arrived here at the wrong time , but im still here) to meet this incredible bike builder . I am 4 hrs away , so maybe I will have to Harley up and go track him down. Wow , what an honor that will be.

I cant tell how glad I am to see Billy carrying on with what he loves. Im moving down there in a week to build and repair bikes myself. I sure hope to meet him sometime to tell him I support him. Thanks for shooting these videos, I caught your other one from bike week. Yes Billy has been through some things in the past that humbled him,, but even before that he always seemed humble to me, unlike most of the big name builders!

Here in Detroit, we uncovered an 80 year old board track Velodrome that was used for racing for many, many years and then forgotten and left to rot and collect dust. A bunch of people here are restoring the track in sections and racing on it in the mean time! I'm glad to see Billy digs the pre Knuck engines!

Always wanted to see a proper movie made about board-track racing because those guys had balls of steel and I don't think many people know about or appreciate it. You're an original brother stay well, stay healthy. So cool to see you doing this.

Dont know if they are still making them but back in the 70’s working at the factory they put them on the doors of the trucks
Chrome bull dog indicated mack truck with something other than mack running gear
Gold bull dog indicating a mack truck with mack running gear (engine trans differential)
Mack was the very few truck companies to build there own cab chassis transmission rear axles
Which earning the gold bull dog badging

At 2:53 Billy explains ''The Sons of Speed'' and why he's trying to bring back Board Track Racing. As much as i like & respect Billy Lane, he is a day late and a dollar short on reviving Board Track racing. Billy was locked down from 2009-2014? Prior to this period, Scott Brown & Michael Lange had pre-1929 Board Track Machines running the race program at the AMCA bikedays.com Wauseon events on a dirt track 1/2 mile oval! 2016 was their 10 year anniversary. Also, The George Brothers have been running the same program at the Chief Blackhawk Davenport, Iowa Swap/Race Meet every September.

Ol Sport1+ 9 thumbs down now. I'm sure those 9 idiots haven't ever built their own stuffed animal bear at Build A Bear, let alone a motorcycle or car. Very few people who have done it or do it on a regular basis talk shit about anyone. They know no matter what kind of bike you build, if you do as much as you humanly possible can on your own, then you're in it for the right reasons and no one has a right to judge you. Creative criticism is only acceptable from people who have put in as much time, effort, sweat, love, sacrifice and blood as the person they're critiquing. Other than that, everyone else can go fuck themselves.
